The devil fruits being attracted to perfectly suited people makes so much sense when you look at devil fruit users like the "jacket-jacket fruit." It kinda makes you think how the split-split fruit fits into Buggy's personality.

Blackbeard having a devil fruit in his ring or another object is a crazy but great idea. But it all makes me wonder if the will inside BB devil fruit craves more power or other DF's for some reason too, cause he seems obsessed with hunting them down ever since he first ate it.
Yes i agree, i think we might get to the point where Blackbeard can absorb ALL fruits. Like what if his awakening is a giant black hole that eliminates all powers but his. And luffy “dreams/hopes/wishes” that he was still rubber and he makes it happen, and other people “imagine” themselves having their fruit back too and then they win. Kind of proving the point about imagination

I just read about the Dream Stealer and one of its effects is if one's dream is stolen they cannot sleep. I believe Blackbeard's dream was stolen when he was young(why he's crying under the moon). But one day he learned Devil fruits could fulfill dreams so Blackbeard studied the Devil fruit Encyclopedia. He learned the secret of the Yami Yami no Mi and that it could nullify df power as well as the possibility of it being able to steal dreams from Devil fruits

My afro theory was that afros contain memories and I love that vegapunk is proving more and more that maybe the one piece is an afro that has the accumulation of the memories of the void century or joyboys time. I also got pointed out that gaimon has a panel with a memory in his afro!! That's really insane. All I will say is that brook is very important to what the one piece might be. I might make a part two with this update by vegapunk.
This reminds me of how chopper was able to control his fruit after the time skip and in Punk Hazard he said he wanted to be a monster to help luffy instead of being ashamed of being a monster
You're refreshing. If you keep at it, I am sure you will pop off. Remember that consistency is key, in the sense that as long as you just keep your head down and post content, you're bound to grow. Momo learned enough to say “it’s true that I cannot die…” and to make the decision to keep Wano closed so while I’m sure the torn pages are very important, there’s a lot of other stuff in there too that says a lot about the future

The theory I like the most which correlates a lot to this is that while DF’s find the user who would best work with their fruit, there’s still a difference. Luffy’s always been someone who craves freedom and adventure, the same as Nika. Yet time and time again, he constantly says “I’m not the hero, hero’s have to share their food”. Luffy was never the “Liberator”. However on that roof he finally found the determination to liberate Wano, and thus achieving a perfect resonance with his fruit allowing for the awakening
he may not be the one to share his food, but he definitely has been the liberator since Usopp, Nami's introduction when he saved their whole village from oppressing pirates. and he never shied away from throwing parties with his crew's money (which Nami claimed her own) to anyone willing to join.
@@NaNa-cq8ck yes and no, every single time before this was because of one person really. Syrup village was for Usopp and his love, Arlong was Nami, etc. etc.
It’s wano when he finally wants to free “everyone” he wants to stop Kaido not just for one person or one group, but for everyone he’s oppressed.
Plus the food and parties aren’t liberation, it’s just Luffy wanting to party and doesn’t care if others join in.
@@liamsalb620 you're contradicting yourself here bud, you said earlier Luffy always mentioned he never shared his food (which he only said once), so he's not a hero and never a liberator. Even in Wano, he only fought because of his promise and friendship with Momo, nothing else. But at the end of the day he liberated Wano just like he did many other towns and countries, only the outcome matters - not that whom he did it for. So he has always been a liberator. As for why he was finally able to awaken his fruit, that's a whole different theory - one of which Kaido mentioned - you awaken your fruit when your body and mind catches up to its power. Which he did, by being persistent throughout his life, pushed so hard in his fight till Kaido and didn't want to give up even when he was about to die.
@@NaNa-cq8ck I mean not really? Sure Luffy is a liberator because he’s helping his friends but Wano is the first place where he stopped the villain not for a friend, but the entire community, for people he didn’t know.
He saved alabasta for Vivi, he saved Skypiea cause they got in his way + Conis. In wano he started the fight for otama, but at the end he finished it for all of wano.
Plus it’s a theory, who knows what Kaido meant by “your mind and body need to catch up” hell “mind” could be “desire” or “dreams” or anything of the sort.

If luffy wasn’t a liberator he wouldn’t have punched a celestial dragon because the act of owning someone disgust him. I think luffy always does things for his friends but he also makes friends wherever he goes so I think he definitely is a liberator, he just doesn’t understand the word hero to mean that. One piece is starting to remind me a lot of AOT right now. Titans inherit memories/will. It seems it’s probable that devil fruit users inherit will and potentially memories/personality directly through devil fruits. I’m interested to see what Oda will clarify.

Yes i totally agree! It’s insane we are getting to the end of the story and closer to the actual answers. And as for your question, yeah I had to change it a lot for sure, I didn’t plan to do this video for a while but after 1069 it kind of all stitched together perfectly. Particularly the afro having the information lol
Oro Jackson was the name of Roger's ship so I think JacksonBanner is literal in that he is the banner of the ship. The swirls and the color of his hair matches well with Roger's Jolly Roger's mustache. Oro might go well with Wizard of Oars theory that Oars the First was Joyboy. And if the initials of JacksonBanner and Joyboy match, it wouldn't be surprising if Joyboy, like JacksonBanner, also had an afro. Maybe what we are seeing on JacksonBanner's head is literally the one piece like he was the last one to wear the afro.

Luffy’s logia abilities are like red hawk? Fits in with the sun theme of energy
On a small scale, during the fight against Kaido, when he grabbed the ground to lift a rubber wall to repel Kaidos blast, Ruffy already changed the environment permanently. After that attack he sat on that same wall that used to be rubber now hard as a rock once again.
Really cool idea that Luffy's fruit has properties of all three types of devil fruits and connecting that back to LRLL
My theory: While whitebeard was dying he remembered about his talk with Roger about roger telling him about the one piece. I think that Roger told wb about a certain boy that will come in the future and turn the world upside down. So, while dying he knew about the certain boy Luffy's existence and he also knew that he had the conquerors haki, so while dying he told "One piece, does exist".

YES!! Usopp has already shown a love for afros (in long ring long land) and franky has all sorts of hair styles so I can def see them getting excited and wanting to try it on 😂

I watched this when it dropped and I absolutely loved it so I had to sit on it a bit, I started thinking how Oda could implement this into the story in a cohesive way that has been foreshadowed but will also play a major role in upcoming arcs. Thinking about how pre-time skip admirals Aokiji and Akainu had their battle on punk hazard and it left a permanent impact on the climate of the island and more importantly to your theory having wills or personalities similar to the possible fruits desire or will, however according to the theory this would mean that Kizaru would not be nor would he be able to awaken as many in the one piece community see him as "lazy" or "slow" justice. Since Lucci is awakened maybe someone in the crew will question why an admiral isn't or more likely we won't exactly see the pay off until later but us as the readers will have even more clues towards this notion. Honestly hoping this theory is spot on because again I love it and continue the awesome work!

Nice theory, it would also make sense that haki is a physical manifestation of the level of the users will. Law said in his fight with Blackbeard that he realized how haki affects devil fruits, so it might be able to power up devil fruits powers if their willpower is strong enough. This would make haki willpower important in Awakening as even if fruit can choose someone based on his inherited will power. It might not be able to awaken if that willpower doesn't manifest strongly.
According to VegaPunk if DF are created by willpower too, then it could be possible that Zoro and Sanji will not eat a fruit but eventually manifest a DF power through their willpower manifestation. I say this because we still don't have a clear explanation on Zoro's Asura form and Sanji's Fire abilities (even if his body is modified)
Hold up just figured something out: so df are a manifestation of potential human evolution right. Than the minke are probably a branch that actually went down one of those evolutions and that’s why there sulon is so similar to an awakening

Amazing theory once again. I have a similar theory coming out, but it’s not coming out as soon as I told my subscribers I would release it. So I will tell them to check out your video.
Some of the points you bring up is identical to my theory. Are brains use the same satellite lol. I like all the examples of paramecia and logia having personalities that match their fruit. They way I approach this is to both prove that point but also show that DF awakening doesn't just enhance pre existing powers but introduce new(but actually old) powers. This done to show that it is not a coincidence that Robin was known as the devil child and also awakened a devil form via her DF powers.
I Really like the part in which you brought up Pell. I hadn't thought about them in a while and that really put things in a whole new perspective.

All this talk about Will having to merge into something that'll turn to a devil fruit makes me think of that one scene in Punk Hazard, where a DF was formed.
I thought it was cool how you pointed out how Luffy would think the afro is so funny he has to put it on. If the afro provides the knowledge and history, I was thinking it would be perfect since wouldn't it be the first time Luffy ever learned the history/backstory of someone else?
33:52 Luffy was first in a barrel too, during his introduction in the anime.
Someone else pointed out we've got several people with the Will of D that could have filled this role. Almost like the Will made sure to stack the deck. And in this case, Blackbeard ended up getting Ace killed instead of taking Luffy down before he could defend himself. But Ace could have also easily been a sun god and even had a grinning skull on him. He was also apparently equal to Jinbe in strength.
I think the reason why Blackbeard has two devil fruits is like you said" the reason someone dies after eating two is because the devil's or the WILLS that are inside the fruit fight because they have conflicting wants and needs. So what if the reason he has two is is because the devil's or the WILLS inside of him had similar want or need causing them not to fight therefore allowing him to have two.
That would've fit perfectly, but the reason seems to be specifically bb's body based on Marco's words back in Marineford

Crazy theory but hear me out. To start, let's look at what Roger exactly said when laughing at Laughtale. "Joyboy, I... wish that I had lived in the same era as you." This could actually have way more of a deeper meaning than we actually realize. This is for the fact that Roger's own wish may have actually been granted.
Firstly, we should consider that the old/first Joyboy could be the one who made the devil fruits based on what people wished for. It was stated that Luffy's fruit is bound to his imagination, so it wouldn't come as a surprise if making people's wishes into reality was a power that Luffy/the first Joyboy wields. Perhaps something at Laughtale gives you a chance to wish for something and it can become a reality. Even if that wasn't the case, perhaps it tells you that Luffy's fruit/the old Joyboy was capable of making your wish a reality. That could lead into Roger's wish and him laughing. Perhaps him and the crew were even laughing in utter disbelief and he wished for that jokingly, however, he never knew that it could actually become true.
Secondly, we should consider that, once you awaken your fruit, you actually embody more of the will from previous users to a much higher degree. In other words, take the scene of Luffy's hearbeat/the drums of liberation. Zunesha literally stated that Joyboy returned when Luffy was in the middle of awakening his fruit. For the sake of this theory, let's just say that Luffy is now Joyboy.
Taking this all into account, Roger's wish may have actually been granted. However, considering that Joyboy can refer to multiple people now, Roger's wish can go either way. It could mean that his wish would bring him to the era with the Joyboy from the past and it could also mean that his wish would bring him to live in the era with the Joyboy from the future.
So, could it be possible that Roger is still alive right now because of his wish?
If thriller bark turns out to be the land where they held the 5 fruit competition when kuma got the paw paw/kaido got the fish fish fruit. I can see the parallel of long ring long land turning out to be laugh tale.

I know this is quite an old video, but i've just recently found your channel and have been going through a lot of your videos. two questions. 1. do you still stand with this theory? I don't remember anything that would go against this theory but I don't pay as much attention to each page as you might. 2. Do you think poneglyphs could have a will? Or atleast the Rode poneglyphs. If inanimate objects can have will, than would that be something that may explain why the one missing rode poneglyph that's supposed to be in fishman, is gone. I think I saw a recent video of yours on that where you said it was ace's original right hand man, but what if will was also involved? is that a possibility, as it may be reason to why it dissapeared, not that it simply ran off, but allowed itself to be taken away. and it may be similar with big mom and Kaido's rode poneglyphs, where it seems that although they strive for the one piece, they don't seem to know the importance of the rode poneglyph. Rode poneglyphs seem to have an unknown function to most of the pirates striving for it.

When people with a DF die, the fruite spawns within a certain radius.
I think that, because DFs seems to be legendary in the 4 oceans but very common on the grandline.
So people that have potential go to the grandline and leave their lives and DFs behind there.
I posted this on an older video wanted to reply here as well with this idea I have been thinking about since the latest chapter (1069) devil fruits being related to wishes but what if it’s not wishes but dreams.

I'm pretty sure that the one piece is going to be a comic that's basically self-referential to the manga self. This matches up with a lot of the Theology and philosophy that one piece as sort of laid the groundwork for in terms of a checkered fate and how the day and the night come one after another forever. Spiritually it is overcoming of the self that is the path to Enlightenment which is the past that Luffy is on, so it would be interesting to see if imu is actually either the other half of Joy boy or just joyboy himself. The final piece of knowledge and understanding is of the journey itself and the understanding that the opponents and the Allies are all part of the same one existence. The one piece.

I think you are overthinking this a little bit. I think df just has the ability to conceal and reveal its presence to anything with sentience. So the reason why the government probably struggled to catch the fruit is because it probably revealed its presence to living things nearby when the government was around whether it was a dangerous animal when the marines were close to it. The nika df has probably had many users the past 800 years but none of those users had the will of Joyboy or Nika until Luffy at the fruit.
All the Nika fruit did was reveal its presence to Luffy, Luffy still hax the choice and freedom to eat the fruit or not.
You know one of the things I keep thinking of is the Genesis legend and One Piece. I mean you have Adam Trees, Eve Trees and Devil Fruits which could just as easily be connected to fruit of knowledge. Eve was persuaded to eat by the snake / devil, right?
I think Luffy will be the only one who will cry after finding such a treasure - he does not want a boring adventure. Life as a pirate who can travel the world whenever he wants and where he wants will lose its meaning for him.
