This might also explain why the world government fears Shanks and also Roger in the past. Both Shanks and Rogers crew were pure haki users that does not rely on devil fruit powers. There was also this theory that Shanks also has knowledge on how the underwater sea travel works as well. Therefore, if a flood did happen, eliminating Shanks would be very difficult because they have no devil fruit users and all rely on just pure strength and haki.
That is why Shanks never ate the gomu gomu no mi fruit but needed luffy to eat it
or a real plot twist: since Shanks is was able to get into the meeting and his father is a celestial dragon: he purposely created a crew with no devil fruit users because he knew the flood was coming and he is a CD and is planning on the flood.

Wait so important detail missing here that could add to the theory- the sunlight tree eve. It goes all the way up past the red line, assumedly through Mariejois. It might even be in Imu’s garden room full of light.
If Imu’s powers are light based, and devil fruits are light based, perhaps Imu is utilizing (or even created) the sunlight tree eve to absorb massive quantities of light. Maybe the devil fruits originally even grew on that tree!

I think the ancient kingdom is the one who had the devil fruit tree and the D clan the original users. The enemy of God is the devil. The enemy of the celestial dragons who see themselves as gods are devils. So the Devils fruit. Even when the D means Dawn I see them being called Devils. Also there are D meubels of different races. Creating a flood to cleanse the world of Devils seems plausible.
Water has risen a lot. Water 7 shows how much the Water actually rose. 800 years ago they already built ships there and you dont do that above water level but at water level. You dont just built an anciënniteit warship when you dont know what you are doing.

My opinion on the void century is that there was a great age of pirates and imu and the dragons thought in a bible sort of way to "cleanse the earth" from the first golden age of pirates where your average shumck had devil fruits powers the world government was very scared of being wiped out the world in one piece was probably whole and raft tale was most an likey island where strong pirates resided so the floods began and to prevent anything like that happening again they erased anything history wise that had anything to do with that centry this is my theory tell me what you think

I think the only way to create such a big flood is to changing the positions or even destroys the moons in the One Piece world. Thus, it can create very large tsunamis. We did see in Ohara that Earth in the One Piece world has multiple moons but now there is only one moon we can see and that's where the mink tribe can transform from. There may also be races that derive their strength from previously existing moons. One of them is lunarians and the race (Kuma & Blackbeard) to be announced soon. It might explain why they can't sleep.

To me the Void Century is waaaay more complex than a mere hundred-year void, because there's no trace of the events that led to the Void Century, nor any mention of the consequences.
And it seems like Oden knows much more about the Void Century than Toki herself: my theory is that she has no memories about that, and her desire to go to Wano is all that's left, so she knows where she should be... but she doesn't know the reason.
The real trick here is that she's not even aware that her memory was tampered with, an effect similar to the dreaded Hobi Hobi No Mi, but without anyone turning into toys.
What if during the Void Century they had literally the power to permanently alter reality, and the World Government used the last sparks of the energy researched by Vegapunk to power the machines buried under Marie Geoise... and pull a King Fritz on anyone?

There's a similarity between the ancient weapon and Luffy's crew too. Ancient weapons belonged to the real JoyBoy probably. The name of the three weapons are Uranus (inspired from the god of Sky), Poseidon (inspired from the god of Sea) and Pluton (inspired from the god of Underworld).
The similarity is that Luffy is the new JoyBoy as we know. Also, Jimbei is the son of "Sea". So he might the Poseidon for Luffy. Sanji's mother's name is Sora, which means Sky. So he is the son of Sky. So he might be the Uranus for Luffy. And Zoro is the son of Terra (his mother's name). I know there's no ancient weapon inspired from the God of Earth but don't forget that Zoro called himself King of "Hell". And where is hell? Under the world. So he might be the Pluton for Luffy.
Another connection is that Poseidon is from the Fishmen Island. So is Jimbei. Pluton is from the Wano country. And Zoro has some connection with it too. If that's the case then Sanji might be related to sky in some other way too. There's many theories that say that the Uranus is in the sky islands. And many other theories says that Sanji might have Lunarian DNA because of which he can use fire and has very high durability. Lunarians have wings so they might be related to the sky islands somehow. And probably even Uranus. Lunarians also lived in the Red Line and some theories says that Sanji will destroy the Red Line so that sll the seas can be connected to make the All Blue.

There is one flaw in your theory. Destroying the Red Line would not lower the sea level, but increase it. Destroying it won't make the rocks disappear. The rubble will fall into the ocean, displacing even more water, since much of it was previously above water.
and i have one small theory extended to yours..
while the time was freezing acc to your theory joyboy planned to protect his crew and then fight imu and undo the fruit power..
but maybe due to some small mistake zuneshia made ( probably leaving a mirror a in afro of someone ) and it freezes the 8 members of joyboys crew leaving joyboy and 4 others inc zuneshia -> because of this mistake he cant fight imu back at full power , and punished him to roam round the seas protecting the road ponygliph which he needs after he is reborn for getting onepiece . and the other 3 and joyboy fought back and nearly defeats everyone except imu and gorosei - and in the final moments the 3 crew members pledged they will be reborn with the powers they have now after 100 years (the freeze time) and will reborn again until they wins with the "will" they have . they are after known as ancient weapons as they are very powerfull and joyboy as the captain took responsibility of what zuneshia did and for the justise of the frozen crewmates he decided he will be re-born with the greatest will this world has ever seen after 900 years ( 8 * time his crewmates frozen plus his 100 years) and take imu down..

through years I have been amazed by Oda's incredible imaginary. The world he creates combines magic and science, which set no limits for what the adventures can be. I heard that the crew is likely to visit the moon in a brand new episode, so I wonder what's next...time travel??? and that brought me an interesting idea, that Luffy can actually travel back to a certain point in the void century with the crew, and become part of the history, even Joyboy himself.

also the idea of devil fruits being powered by light also goes to prove why they are so powerless against the sea. since water has the ability to refract and bend light, light going through water does not result or appear as intended. this then tying to why the main weakness of the devil fruit that manipulates light is water since it doesnt allow it to be seen or manifest as it is intended.
this would then go to reason why the sun god fruit would be the most powerful since on earth not only is it the most powerful emitter of light, but also capable of radiating multiple different wavelengths(different forms of light). so then one with the powers if the sun would not only have immense power, but immense ability to manipulate light and its many different forms.

I think Imu's power is the moon (which contradicts Luffy's devil fruit). Imu doesn't need to stop/slow the Earth, he/she can just manipulate the tide due to his moon powers.

I still think originally there was a Big Problem and so whatever happened needed to happen. And there were two options and Joyboy ran out of time for his attempt. Leaving only Imu to wipe everything out. But try convincing everyone what Imu did was the only choice…even if true…people would not accept it.
Great theory, sadly I agree, I say sadly because of Naruto. Using the genjutsu on the moon to hypnotize everyone and seal them in a dream like stasis. It's starting to feel like another Kaguya situation. I really didn't want one piece to be another version of Naruto, but told in a way more round a bout way. Imu using her light beams on the moons every 800 years to put everyone in a stasis smh that would be so played out.
Maybe Luffys dream is that everyone becomes a pirate. Without the red line only islands would be left. With only islands left and without a marine remaining, everyone would have to travel by ships. Maybe people would also enjoy going on crusades.

More than a time movement thing it seems like some super wide scale usage of an awakened puddings fruit. Still someone would have wrote about what was happening. What if the sea level was raised and flooded everybody out and that's why there was so much of water 7 that was deep underwater and the City used to be massively larger along with having their own farmland but it was hundreds of feet underwater and only revealed by the temporary receding of water from aqua Laguna
I think Imu is somehow linked to the devil fruits but his/her power is that s/he can control the sea (being the antithesis of devil fruits). That, or the power to somehow stop the world from turning (both make great metaphors for a main villain)

An interesting theory, but I see one major problem. If everyone in the world was stopped with a massive Noro Noro Beam so everyone just froze in place for 100 years, then resumed their lives without realizing anything had happened, then they wouldn't realize 100 years had past. That is, their history wouldn't reflect a 100 year gap, but rather just that 800 years ago there came a day when there were a number of strange changes to the world, which would probably just be attributed to Devil Fruit powers or pawned off with some explanation manufactured by the World Government. I'm sure the World Government would have fully supported this belief as, in a world where practically any power you can imagine can be obtained by eating a piece of fruit, it's a lot easier to explain a bunch of changes that happened to the world in an instant than it is to explain a 100 year gap without revealing the things you don't want people to know about that time. And sure, the people who escaped the effects of the Noro Noro Beam would certainly be telling everyone that 100 years had passed, but there would be so few that it would be easy to write them off as fringe if not outright lunatics, not to mention that the World Government would almost certainly hunt down anyone who tried to reveal the truth, just as they did with anyone who tries to learn about the Void Century. In short, nobody would KNOW there was a Void Century if this is what happened.
So what do I think ACTUALLY happened? Spider-Man: No Way Home. That is, I think at the end of the Void Century, once the World Government was established, someone (probably Im) used a Devil Fruit ability that wiped the collective memory of the previous 100 years from the collective memory of the entire world. The dialogue about Nefertari D. Lili gave me the impression that whatever she did caused the poneglyphs to be scattered DURING the Void Century, meaning they already existed at the end of that period. My guess is that, once the ancient kingdom and its allies realized they were going to lose the war, they suspected that the new "World Government" would suppress the truth, so they had the poneglyphs created as an indestructible record so people could rediscover the true history in the future. However, the World Government discovered the poneglyphs and tried secure them so they would never be seen, but Lili made some "mistake" that scattered the poneglyphs around the world and beyond the control of the World Government. At the very end of the conflict, with the World Government securely in power, Im proceeds to use the ability to wipe all memory of that period from the world. Just like in Spider-Man: No Way Home, that extends to writings (remember Flash's book?) so there were no normal records left of that period, but the poneglyphs are special (possibly because of the material of which they're made, possibly because of the special writing used on them, kind of like the way Nora was able to leave something for Barry and Iris to find on The Flash series even after the timeline changed so she never existed because she used a type of writing that was unaffected by temporal energy) so they remained unchanged. After all, while the histories do say there was a 100 year gap, they don't say that it was the same people alive at the end of it as there were at the beginning. This all actually fits quite nicely with a different theory I've been working on, but this comment is long enough already so I won't go into all of that here. Let me know if you're interested and I can give a heads up when I've got it fully fleshed out.

As for the history and 100 year gap, it actually would show the gap because (speaking on the tontatta specifically) the king Riku of the past showed up right at the end and apologized/made amends and in the process I’m sure he told them the current date. He was named king by the Donquixote’s so I’m sure he at least knew it was 100 years forward. He was benevolent and liked them so I’m sure he said the real answer
Or they just had another telltale sign of some kind - like a clock, or maybe they counted a trees rings or something lol, idk what would work In this scenario exactly but I can see more answers for “how they realized it was 100 years forward” than I can “how books had information removed”
@@DaksSake That was the thing i struggled with on Spider-Man: No Way Home actually. How did Flash's book cease to exist? How was the video of Mysterio outing Peter as Spider-Man wiped from every computer in existence? But the only answer there seems to be, "because magic." In this case, however, considering that the predominant theory is that Im's Devil Fruit is a dark reflection of Luffy's and is similarly only limited by imagination, it is actually quite simple to explain. If Im decided to erase all record of the last 100 years from the world, that would be just as inclusive as Im's imagination is, so it would wipe out every memory, every written record, every sound dial, etc. as long as Im thought of including those things. I don't think it would be so much a case of the information disappearing from books as a case of the books completely disappearing, and since nobody would have memories of that time, they wouldn't remember that those books should have existed in the first place. Those are just my thoughts anyways. If 100 years passed in an instant, to the common person it would appear as though no time passed at all, and while I'm certain that experts in many fields would be able to determine almost immediately that a great deal of time had passed (astronomy, geology, arborists, etc.) it still seems like the World Government would lean into that common perception to hide the fact that a gap existed, probably parading their own "experts" who would give some pseudo-science explanation to appease any laypersons that might be in doubt. That just seems like the kind of thing such a corrupt system would do to hide their shenanigans if they had the opportunity. Having people know that 100 years of their past is just GONE is just going to make way too many people curious about that lost time and they would start asking questions. But, i readily admit i could be wrong. Maybe we're BOTH wrong and it's something else entirely. Maybe Will Smith showed up with a fleet of Men in Black and neuralized everyone on the planet while they just packed up and stole all of the written records. At this point, Oda is the only one who knows for sure!

Oda also specifically tells us in the manga that magma coming from underwater fissures and volcanoes forms new islands and land masses. Who is in possession of the magma fruit? The World Government. They could have used Akainus fruit back then to create the red line and artificial land masses that seperates the world into pieces.
And magma didnt engulf fishmans island because they made a huge bubble around them, and left the passage when the magma solidified

@@OdenKeiz It's not filler though. That whole arc is canon to the story. Almost, if not every canon arc ties to the overall story no matter how good or boring it is. Plus, Long Ring Long Land is much much better in the manga. Anime just dragged the heck out of the arc.

I love the idea that the 20 kingdoms send a flood of seawater to disable / eliminate all fruit users. I'm more on the idea of the flood being caused by a Rain devil fruit. As of now, we have no explanation why devil fruits are 'hated by the sea' - it is something so fundamental since the first chapter that it must be something ODA can't reveal yet. Flooding the world with a Rain Fruit that is cappable of weakening other devil fruits.
Maybe, the water fruit was the first one. The original devil fruit. And from it other fruits started to grow across the world. In Japanese mythology Japan was formed when the gods pulled a sword out of the sea and the drops that fell from it formed the world. Maybe that fruit is the source of them all and like drops they all originated from it somehow.

What if Boa's devil fruit froze everyone in stone and then puddings fruits was used to change the memories of everyone left alive after they had gotten rid of any enemies besides those strong enough to ignore the devil fruits effects.

Flooding to kill all the devil fruit users begs the question if certain devil fruits contain an even *greater* evil. I’ve been thinking it’s possible Blackbeard’s fruits end up being 3 pieces of the original devil of the sea and putting all 3 together ends up awakening them and gives Blackbeard a sea devil Zoan transformation, which would slot in nicely as the final villain; because let’s be honest blackbeard has to end up being the big bad final boss

This connects to my Uranus theory… Oda has so far based many arcs off of Hindu stories. For example the story of kaido and Yamato is directly connected to the 4th incarnation of Vishnu the protector who turns himself into a half man half beast to slay the invincible demon king in his palace strong hold with the help of the demon king son who was enslaved by his father for being a fan boy of his fathers enemy “Vishnu” (who later comes as Rama in the tale with hanuman) In Hinduism the gods have space ships, lasers and world ending weapons that rain down thousands of fiery arrows of light. There is a story of sanjna related to the spiral disc weapon that is called the wheel of time because it controls the movements of the stars and planets in the heavens. So Sanjna was married to the sun god surya but his fire was too hot for her to bear … so her father the god of science and engineering vishwakarma reduced the suns heat so he would be more bearable but with the leftover energy crafted 3 weapons for the gods 1) a ship, 2)a trident , and 3) the spiral disc wheel of time. So sanjna is directly related to this spiral disc that controls time and when combined with odas mentions of sanjis eyebrows connected to the movements of planets and all the spiral themes with devil fruits and the ancient weapons correlating to Hindu mythology even Zoro turning into asura and mentioning the 36,74,108 transformations of past present and future which is a direct reference to the three blades of shiva(god of destruction) trishula. Together these gods are called the god trio and create preserve and destroy bringing Balamce to the universe… so these three are connected to energy and personality as well the white satva energy is in the present moment and gets pure joy from existing(luffy/vishnu), the black tamas energy is slow and makes you lost or confused and low energy and obsessed about the past(zoro/shiva), and the red is Rajas passion vigor focused on sensory experience and obsessed with how the future will turn out(sanji/Brahma)… LOL I actually have a long theory connecting all of this really well but I keep ranting incoherent pieces of it on social media 😂

1. If the poneglyphs are indestructible, how did they carve on them?
2. If the "sea" inside Wano's borders is rain water, why do devil fruit users get weaker/can't swim in it? Wasn't it just sea water that does that?
It's more "standing water" than specifically sea water thats the problem. They aren't weakened by waves, baths, etc. But are weakened by the sky seas and canals, and also have problems in any other body of water. As for the indestructible poneglyphs, I don't think their story is fully explained yet, and even if, I don't know that the mechanism of carving them is important enough to the current story to continue exploring.

They carve it first, after that either its df power or else they strengthen the stones. That way it could fit in logic (my logic). If they could be crushed with same material, wg would destroy them dropping one poneglyph from sky to another poneglyph below its trajectory.
Some part of my brain think that the material was a mixture of seastone (since those poneglyph cant be affected by df, yet (my idea was if morley df could bend the poneglyph like it was liquid clay)) with material they use to create black sword (yoru, shisui). They starterd crafting poneglyph with the mixture and inscribing text on it and after that somehow they strengthen it to the point it reaches/become the strongest material.
