  • Inclusive Disclaimer: Due to the highly polarized space we currently occupy, we find it necessary to include our stance on inclusive language. It is Andrew and Sara’s position that every human should feel free to be safe and comfortable in their body. And while we are not using inclusive language here, it does not mean we don’t support inclusivity. The terms masculine and feminine and men and women are used here as a container for the people to which we mostly work with.
Sara and andrew discussed the behaviours and characteristics of men who are on a journey of healing, with andrew providing several potential indicators. These included seeking therapy, expressing feelings of vulnerability, maintaining healthy friendships and self-care, pursuing hobbies, and reading. They noted that some of these behaviours could be signs of either growth or simply an individual's capacity for self-awareness. They also highlighted that honesty and open communication were important aspects to consider.
Exploring Community Healing and Therapy Benefits
‪@andrewlanghorst‬ and Sara explored the potential benefits of incorporating community healing, such as group therapy or mother circles, as a complementary approach to traditional therapy. They emphasized the unique and transformative experiences that group settings can offer, as well as the limitations of individual therapy. The conversation highlighted the need for normalizing the idea of group therapy and the importance of flexibility in choosing the right approach based on individual needs and circumstances. andrew expressed the growing acceptance and importance of therapy, noting that it has become a normative part of Western culture, and encouraged individuals to persist in their healing journey, even if initial attempts at therapy are unsatisfactory.
