There were some lovely touches in the finale - the old hand-link, the old QL narration music, Addison giving it a smack, it did feel like the QL that we have been crying out for. With all the talk of Season 3 plans, that suggests there is likelihood it will happen. Is there a chance though if NBC don't renew, they shop it to another network and they pick it up? That happened with Southland.
There were some superb moments indeed. I certainly hope we get a S.3. It must have been hard for this show. Having the original loom over it such as it did. And yes. It’s had some weak episodes. But when it’s strong it does it well

Would have liked more use of James Frain (Jeffrey/Gideon) because he plays bad so well, but that's a minor criticism. I'm not sure Hannah Carlson coming for a potential season 3 works because her gift was reuniting Ben and Addison, and it would likely lead to an odd love triangle. I think with all the talk of S3 being about getting leapers home, they'll really need to be persuasive to get Bakula on board.
I believe NBC will renew for a season 3 but want to gather feedback and responses to this last season. It felt and looked like a series cliffhanger but there are so many stories to be told now with what looks like sino-leapers Ben and Addison.
There certainly are. But I do believe they ended as they have in case of cancellation. Although not home. It can be seen as a closure to their relationship arc - as they have been reunited. Only in time ! Inevitably they would end on something that could be construed as a closure. But with the tease of continuation if required ☝️ Regardless. It was a great ending to the season. And if your lucky you’ll be given something that can feel like a conclusion ( eg what we got here ) if unlucky it’s just cancelled and end completely open ended. Also NW tv - in most cases don’t like giving a conclusion as without one shows historically actually work better in reruns. 🤷♂️
@ajsmovieplace Deborah Pratt did say that a potential movie was in the works, whether it's with these new cast members or a conclusion to Sam disappearance but for me, I believe NOW would be the ideal time to wrap up Sams return home and once manages to return in some way (leave that to the writers) he could return to run his own project and guide both Ben and Addison in time. All this can only happen if movie is made but most of it is wishful thinking, it's up to Deborah Pratt and Bellisario and of course Scott Bakula.

It's a bit complicated but he does watch the new show! unfortunately the network wanted a different audience so he's still saying no. However with all the recent mentions and throwbacks of his character perhaps the network realizes they have most of the original audience watching this show. I think once this is realized by the network and by Scott Bakula might reconsider but he's still saying no due to feeling like he doesn't fit in the show. Which is crazy cause he does. They mention him all the time and with the recent finale it would be perfect to have him appear in a fashion like that.
I do wonder if the worry is - If he did appear and they closed that story off. Would that be the end of this show ? Would a huge audience now not care as they got a finale to that original series. Unless of course they got Bakula back on a semi regular basis and he was still leaping. And Lept on on occassion. It’s a touch one to call

And if he was there on a regular basis or occasionally he's afraid the audience wouldn't like the simple story telling. NBC unlikely to make a decision on Season 3 until May and the producers have said NBC agreed to the ending that was shown but that scenario of both Ben and Addison leaping would only be in the short term. Kinda glad as two people jumping through time was kinda done with The Time Tunnel.

I think "IF" there is a season 3, when we get back into HQ again that some main computer program will or should be called "Hannah" Dang, mic was on the blink again. Hope ya can get it fixed soon. i'm not sure if i'll like season 3 when it'll come out... both ben an addison are now leaping... but my thoughts would be.. will they leap in the same timeline with each other or will they get seperated into two different time lines... i would think they would get seperated into different timelines... but i think the writer that made this script didn't really do there home work when they were suppost to do body swaps..
The season finale was the best episode of the series hands down. If the writing was like the Hannah storyline from the beginning there would be no doubt of a season three.
Doesn't work for me. Why would Addison leap to replace Ben? That doesn't get them together. Also, didn't Ben start this journey to save Addison? Is this why he has to save her? Are you telling me the "new and improved" Jeff wouldn't want to leap and take Ben's place?

I would like to see her do a few more leaps. Whether with Ben or sent home. We’ve seen leaping from the male perspective, a female perspective other than Alia and Zoey’s might make things interesting. 3. Maybe have some of Sam’s prior leaps turn up to help Ben and Addison along. Magic is part of the new Quantum Leap project looking to return the favor of Sam saving the platoon by helping Sam get home. At this point, Ben and Addison as well. But perhaps some of Sam’s other leaps can help return the favor. Katie McBain is one that comes to my mind. Maybe even others as well. Samantha Stormer, Jesse Tyler just to name a few. 4. If not Sam Beckett right away, perhaps John Beckett-Sam’s father. Ben and Addison may find themselves in Elk Ridge, Indiana (How far is Elk Ridge from Hawkins?) hoping to find a secret from Sam in hopes of getting them home as well as another wrong they need to right. John could provide parental guidance if the two need it, and maybe even tell them a story or two about Sam. Well-that’s it on my end.
The throw back to the OG quantum leap was great! the old music. The story. Quantum leap was great id be very disappointed if they cancelled it now its getting really good. However i remember Sam did it in the episode 'Leap Back' by leaping into Al's leapee and pushing Al back into the present so I wonder why this new team didn't think to leap Addison into Ben and pushing Ben back into the present.
The show is Meh but I'm also a big fan of the original. Therefore I'm watching this new ones. Two characters I can't stand takes me out if the viewing experience but again the show is OK. Hwres hoping for season 3 and hopefully it gets better.

I appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately real life takes priority over this kind of thing buddy. Maybe when I was 25 years younger I’d have retained all the information. But not so much now. At the end of the day this is a TV show. Nothing more. It’s Not important in the grand scheme of things

Netflix loves picking up shows. They did that with Manifest.
