    My heart was absolutely pounding throughout "Against Time". I haven't had a show do that to me in a VERY long time. It was so beautifully done, and a joy to watch.

    I loved the scene where Beth and Janis reveal to the PQL team that Sam Beckett changed history on their behalf. That scene was amazing!

    I agree. When they played the OG music and Janice talked about what Sam did for them I got teary eyed too. This show has got me hooked. The story was phenomenal. Well done writers! The show needs to continue. And did anyone catch where magic once again talks about the unseen force leaping Ben. We all know who that is!

    If we get a season 3, the studio should do a two episode story arch of what happened to Sam Beckett, where Ben and Addison visit Sam trapped in time and what life he has there, who he married, all of it, and why Ben has come to his timeline to help Sam to close out his story. This would be a huge ratings if the studio network could only see the potential. Scott Bakula watches the new show, so hopefully they can convince him to come in for 2 episode closure episode. Scott just wants a story where it make sense for Sam B. to be in it in a solid story.

    I loved both these episodes so much! So many amazing moments. I liked that we got to see Addison kicking ass when she disarmed that guy. It’s something we don’t get to see too often since we usually see her as the hologram. Even if it was essentially futile since there was an entire room full of people against them, it was still a great moment that showed her dedication. And the moment when Ben realized that he couldn’t destroy Jeffrey’s computer, and that there was a better way to stop him from becoming Gideon. It’s such a Ben move to find a more empathetic way to accomplish his goal. And Janis and Beth coming back! Loved that too! And the ending!! You were right that it was the perfect ending. Ben made it home because Addison is his home! Please NBC give us a season 3 so we can see them leaping together! It would be so awesome seeing their dynamic in this new situation.

    Watching this immediately after viewing the season finale and I’m heartbroken that the show may have met its end…If this is the case, I really enjoyed this continuation of QL…It was a roller coaster of a show and possibly ended as perfect as the first show did…Thanks as always for the great reviews!!!!

    It's so refreshing to hear someone appreciate the show as a whole and not whine about tiny details. I go on Reddit and I see asinine complaints like "There was a clock that wasn't manufactured until 1980, but the leap was in 1878, this is unwatchable" or "She said rom-com in the 70s? How dumb can the writers be!?". I almost feel sorry for people so desperate to feed their ego and be "right" or "better than" that they can't enjoy the show unless they are tearing it down for their own gain. Thank you for being positive, respectful and level headed in your approach to the podcast.

    This in my opinion is one of THE best season finale's of ANT show I've ever seen, period.....I'll tell you one thing, at the end of episode 12 when Jeffrey was reading the letter I KNEW he was going to end up being Gideon. I can't tell you how proud of myself I was when I turned out to be right lol From the looks of it Addison is going to be the leaper and main character in season 3 and Ben will be taking a back seat.....IF it's renewed......fingers crossed 🤞🤞 Not sure how fans would take changing our main character and leaper after 2 seasons but I am on board. I hope we get an answer on season 3 soon

    The Hanna storyline this season has really elevated this series to a new high. I hope more people find this series in rewatch so that the studio green lights another season. With both Sam and Addison now interacting with the past, this introduces a new dynamic to the show. If Addison leaped into the past to meet Ben, who exactly swapped? Was it Sam Beckett returning finally home, or was it Jeffery who leap from the future, and then swapped out with Addison? Any more evil leapers out there, maybe they swapped out with Addison?

      As much as I would love to see Sam again (tears on standby), I would think that the show has now ably demonstrated that they don't care what happened to Sam. The only person it makes sense to swap with Addison is Ian. Ian has to eventually leap to be in the body of the person they met with who said that she saw Ian when she looked in the mirror.

    For a nomad, home is not a place but a person. No many people got that part, some thought it was a mistake but Hannah equations were intended for that. So no cliffhanger, it could be the end of the series or who knows

    So we have an update from Scott Bakula about appearing on the new QL. It's a bit complicated but he does watch the new show! unfortunately the network wanted a different audience so he's still saying no. However with all the recent mentions and throwbacks of his character perhaps the network realizes they have most of the original audience watching this show. I think once this is realized by the network and by Scott Bakula might reconsider but he's still saying no due to feeling like he doesn't fit in the show. Which is crazy cause he does. They mention him all the time and with the recent finale it would be perfect to have him appear in a fashion like that.

    Against Time is the first truly excellent episode of New Q. The Eps with Hannah (palindromic names in a time travel show are tight) have been a huge step up form what has come before. I love the chemistry between Ben and Hannah, But this ep???? I genuinely freaking loved this. As the World Burns was good, I really enjoyed it but, my needs as a fan were serviced wonderfully by Against Time, it was so consistent with who Ben is. I loved the Leap Home Suite part (I wasn't crying, you were crying), and I got serious people bumps when they pulled out the old hand link (would it have killed the sound guys to use the door sound effect, even if they didn't show the imaging camber door?). I have to say that if the show gets pulled now, I will be upset. Until recently I would have been "oh well". I now need more.

    It was the perfect finale. I'm afraid Ben will never truly make it back because, in a way, this is what he was born to do. He trusts people even when they don't trust themselves. Like you mentioned, there's always another way with Ben.

    by chance to you take questions about the writing? do you talk about the paradoxes? my one question is at the end of against time how did hannah get to the track so fast and know bend and jeff were there? when jeff and ben were in the garage, jeffery said his mom wasnt home then they left.

    A Leap for Lisa had a toy corvette? How did it end up in the present day?

    • @fateswidewheel
      @fateswidewheel  4 місяці тому +4

      It’s a scale replica of the actual corvette that was Al’s car in the classic series episode “A Leap For Lisa”. It was in a box of Al’s things that Janis took from Beth’s home in season 1. We’re only seeing it for the first time in “Against Time”.

    If Addison didn’t swap with Ben does that mean she swapped with Sam Beckett?

    • @fateswidewheel
      @fateswidewheel  4 місяці тому +4

      I would certainly say anything is possible and I love the theory. For what it's worth, right now I'm going with the notion that Hannah's code was never actually a "swap" and was always intended to get Addison and Ben together - to their home. But should Dr. Beckett walk out of the accelerator... I certainly wouldn't be upset :-)
