They forgot the vibration! Milwaukee 2836-20 M18 FUEL Oscillating Multi-Tool Review [2836-21]

  • An oscillating multi-tool is a great choice of tool when you need to plunge cut into plywood or 2x material, or if you need to make intricate cuts to remove baseboard or trim. This Milwaukee 2836 M18 FUEL Oscillating Multi-tool has impressive performance, and it's near equal in the ergonomics and comfort realm as well. With the floating spindle, the vibrations from the 20,000 OPM don't reverberate nearly as bad as other OMTs we've used. #milwaukeetool #nothingbutheavyduty #review

I have this unit for 2 years and i use it everyday since ! The cut speed and torque is just unmatch regardless the brand i use it a lot for remodling also! I like my milwaukee tools.

I have had several plug in feins, 18v Ryobi and the newer Ryobi HP, and the newest DeWalt. The M18 fuel blows them ALL away. It's not even in the same category. Pair it with Diablo carbide blades and you can cut things that you would need a cut off wheel for!

While the description says "tool only" it does come with one each of a bi-metal ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI and HCS blade plus an adaptor plate for non-DeWalt blades. Wish I had known that before I bought the blade kit, but oh well. Since I already have a DeWalt drill, charger and batteries there was no need to buy more of those so this was a great deal. There is one other consideration. DeWalt does't sell the depth guide separately so you need to buy the three parts which make it up -- the N275350 block assy, the N275341 metal rod and the N278801 knob. Amazon does sell all three.

Great demo. Been looking at this for a while. Looks like it'll be great for cutting floors for hvac vents. Thanks.

guy i work with bought the m12 version, off the truck about $270. i'm cheap and got the harbor freight warrior with another battery for about $45. the milwaukee felt way to bulky, almost needed 2 hands to use it. for what we are using them for, cheap was the way to go.

Love my m12 fuel version, it definitely prefers the 4ah and 6ah batteries. But compared to the Ryobi, Kobalt, and Dewalt ones I’ve had in the past it’s a HUGE improvement. My only complaint is the battery indicator eventually gets dust behind it and you can’t see the battery level. I ended up removing that tiny plastic cover over the LEDs.

I have the M12 Fuel, it has the most occilation of any of them. I use a 6 amp battery... I have used the heck out of it and it's starting to make some weird noises😅😅😅

For a moment I thought this was a new gen, but after a quick search I realized it's the same OMT from 2-3 years ago

Ive lost my blade screw after the first use, which was months ago. I cant find the specs on the bolt used.
Anyone have any recommendations or links for a proper replacement?

I have the m12 fuel myself, and it’s better than any 18/20 volt multitool I’ve used, and that includes the Dewalt XR. It’s hard to imagine one being better than that one, but I don’t see Milwaukee making a more expensive one with less performance lol.

I had the DeWalt for years, it doesn't have much oscillation, it takes forever to cut through anything... The only thing it's good for is the blade change

I have both the M12 Fuel and the M18 Fuel and while the M12 is nice, the M18 and it's auto mode make it the best I have ever used as a remodeler.

Maybe I need this instead of circular saw? I always have to wait for a board to get ripped. His circular saw is to heavy to big. It's a corded version.
I wanted a smaller circular saw (wood crafts not building a house with it lol) I may been to peak... my issue is home depot has the m12 stuff up so high I can't hold it or see it.... frustrating.... women love tools too.

  • @printfailure

Why does the screw on mine not hold the blade. It always backs itself out

    • @michaelwilliams5506
      @michaelwilliams5506 7 місяців тому

Are you tightening it down the that lever up and then closing it? It shouldn't be able to back out since that lever causes it to have plenty of pressure to hold it in place

Why Milwaukee have different model names in the UK compared to the US when it's the same tools, it makes searching and watching reviews much harder.

It's the power and oscillating range of this one. I've used the m12 and I've had the standard m18 for several years. I just got this m18 fuel version, and the speed with which it cuts is incredibly fast. OMG
