here's a quick refresher on the lore for ya choc.
*clank is literally the son of an actual time lord, and was given the ability to interact with dimensional stuff in the last game (in the timeline anyways-)*

I 100% recommend you play the very first three games. They certainly aren’t as exciting and over the top as rift apart, but they have to be the best games of their generation

Ratchet and Clank was my childhood. First games I ever had were Deadlocked, Up Your Arsenal, Size Matters, and Tools of Destruction.
Big clear eyes, subtle soft features, big ears, furry bait, non-exagerated acting, kick ass abilities and cool personality. They basically said to the R34-community she is free real estate. Not that I have any idea how to design a R34-safe character.

I'd have to say that this is one of my favorite games of 2021. (But that is probably my Ratchet & Clank bias saying that.)
Rivet fighting Dr. Nefarious is my favorite part of this game.
My favorite weapon is the Negatron Collider, both in terms of name and function.
This game is practically the reason why I got a PS5 in the first place.
I really enjoy this game as well.
The Migraine Sniper is great for taking out enemies at long distances, and the Shatterbomb is perfect for crowd control against smaller guys.
Probably my favorite levels were being hunted by Juice, the prison break on Zordoom, and the final level where the Goons and Pirates help you defeat The Emperor.
Even as someone who doesn't have any history with the series, yeah, Rift Apart is basically the only reason to get a PS5 so far (besides Astro's Playroom ofc)

This whole section gave me Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time vibes ngl.
Favorite gun is the black hole mini. Fully maxed out and it shreds through crowds like a cheese grater. The most perfect crowd control weapon. Powerful gun is the Rhyno. Maxed out and oh boy.
The best crowd controller is either the Warmonger or Cold Snap. Both are ridiculously overpowered.
in the game based on the movie, rhyno shreds Max difficulty final boss in like 5 secs
@@drippymario2830 it also one-shots nearly all non-boss enemies. It’s very fun, though. Wish the RYNO 8 had no damage cap
@@charKT-7461 The Cold Snap is even effective on bosses. I found it useful in defeating Dr. Nefarious and the Emperor.
@@richardpulido4624 Not that much on its own, but freezing them and then firing a rocket at them can easily wipe out 10-15% of a bosses health

Nefarious has a doctorate in making evil doodads.
My personal favourite weapon is the Fungis. Helps especially well with crowd control and when you max the upgrades out you get 2 of them for more chaos and even better crowd control

Also, after seeing you beat the Donkey Kong Country SNES games, you would probably like Donkey Kong 64. I played it, I had fun playing it, there was some jank here and there, but I got through it, and the boss fights were good, except K. Rool, I had to use save states (I was playing on Wii U) and I hope you'll have as much fun as I did

I'd love to see a Demon's Souls remake playthrough. It's also a PS5 exclusive and well-liked amongst gamers. The game's tough, but I'm sure you can make it through.... eventually.

in case you didn't know...
IF you find ALL of the "spybot" collectables, you will unlock the "RYNO 8" weapon.
unlike the RYNO weapons in previous R&C games, it doesn't shoot lots of missiles, instead it opens a big portal above the enemy and drops a large object on them.
now here's the crazy part: if you unlock the right "Raritanium upgrade", it will drop "objects from other dimensions", like...
*Sly Cooper's Van* !
too bad it doesn't become available until AFTER you complete all the story missions...
you get the last Spybot by winning all of the "gold" arena battles.
you can also get extra Raritanium by re-doing the "boss" battles in the arena.
the vibrating robot at 4:50 is basically me after I had one too many sodas in a gaming session at 3am

The laser cannon acaully in total does 7% damage while the Bombs do 6% damage the laser cannon doesn't doo all the damage at once.
I feel like the gameplay and design would fit nice in an PVP or/and CO-OP version, I would like to see the universe in an multiplayer version were you fight as a next gen hero or an nex gen criminal (would love to join the robot pirates)
oh, that "what does DR. Nefarious have a doctorate in?" joke reminds me of a line in the classic comic book "secret wars":
the Molecule Man was badly hurt (Wolverine's doing), and the new girl says, "can't you help him, Dr Octopus? you ARE a doctor, aren't you?"
and "Doc Oc" replies, "i'm a Nuclear Physicist, not an MD!"
That was a very good game to play.
I think my favorite Rachet & Clank gun in general would have to be the Rift inducer 5000 from Ratchet & Clank a crack in time becuase it looks like some sort of toy gun but cuase huge wormholes that summon a kraken to kill your enemies for you.
As a huge fan of the franchise, it gets on my nerve that I can't play this game cuz it's PS5 exclusive. But if Sony makes a Slim version (Which they always do), I might get it with Rift Apart. *It's so hot, it's cool!*

oh, in "Donkey kong 64", the Kongs DO use guns.
they are actually cartoonish guns that shoot stuff like Coconuts and Watermelons, but they do have them.

I sure the hell can't until i get a ps5 tho... And i really don't want to buy a ps5 literally Just for It, especially not since i'm still not economically indipendent with not that much money
Edit: however i think you should try the other games! The first game for ps2 Is the most different of them all being a 100% pure 3d platformer and there Is no strafe button (the game Is completely built around the different controls so nothing game breaking) and the weapons are used somewhat differently, but Is imo the best especially It we talk ambient wise and story wise! Also that game Is the reason why It hurts me ti hear that you find the plantes in this one to look the same, because in that game (and the earlier sequels) each planet looks different to the other! I also warm you the general vibe of the ps2 games in general Is waaaay different to the rest of the series, and while i find It to be better, It can be hard to get used to after having played this one first, but not a big deal, if anything, like i just said, i prefer the vibe of those games to the one of the newer games and i hope you may do too of you ever consider to give those games a try!

He should do any of the games from the bioshock trilogy
1: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is one of like maybe 3 games I could tell was a masterpiece not even an hour in.
2: The daulsense is an amazing controller, even when games don't take advantage of adaptive triggers. It's design feels much smoother than the Daulshock 4 and as someone who gets hand pain every once in awhile the larger size and smoother shape of the controller is way less straining on my hands(especially with the joystick covers i have).
3: Sony doesn't have a problem relating to anthro character games with rail grinding. The only example is Ratchet & Clank. Crash never had rail grinding when it was Sony exclusive, that was introuced 20-ish years after the series went multi-platform and if memory serves me correctly, Spyro and Sly never had it either, and that's all the anthro sony games I know of.

I loved this game it was one of the reasons I bought a PS5 in the first place, cause I didn't own a PS3 too play the prior future games on and only had the 2016 reboot which sucks even after I got it for free with days of play when playstation were just giving away games for free
