Here's a link to Part 1 of this series: ua-cam.com/video/-8W-KyBCa7w/v-deo.html Apparently I made a bunch of mistakes on this video (that's what I get for trying to work too fast, lesson learned). But I had a brain fart and called Antidote (from Netherlands) a Norwegian band and not a DUTCH band. I haven't traveled much and I don't know a lot about geography. My apologies to Antidote and their fans. I don't know a ton about that band. I'll take this opportunity to just learn something and will not make that mistake again. Thanks for watching!
That Punkcore Records pure punk rock sampler CD was the mega mix to have in the early '00s! Under $5 with 20 tracks! I lived off mostly sampler CDs in those days; Skins & Pinz, Punx Unite all had bangers under $5. I think I still have that Punkcore DVD. Dude can't wait for the Texas pubk bands list!
@HorrorEpics82 My bad man, I've never even heard of Self Destruct. Clearly, i didn't recognize that was the wrong image. It was just a mistake, broski. I wasn't trying to make you upset. To be honest, I don't know what most of these musicians look like, as I only saw a couple of them a couple of times bc of where I lived.
With The Restarts, if you like Outsider, you'll like all the other albums. They are kind of like Bad Religion in that they can be described as 'All their songs sound the same,..but it's a great song' Nice guys too. I was a bike messenger with Robin in London around 2000, and I try to hook up with them whenever they come through wherever I am at the time
Oh ok, cool. I like to call those bands "consistent". I love BR and Pennywise, I enjoy being able to count on a band to bring me some stuff i know I'll like when dropping a new album
I had to fix that one, actually, lol. I mixed up 2 bands called Antidote by mistake 🤦 it's all good tho, i never claimed i was perfect! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it
@thepunkrockreview You're welcome man! It's cool to see someone discuss Street Punk and Oi! and actually have knowledge and be a part of the scene. Most of the 'punk' channels I've come across don't know shit. lol
@thepunkrockreview they were THE punk band I loved the most when I first started listening to punk. My friend told me at the CD store they’re a good band. Never heard them before and bought their underground network album and have loved them ever since. The news about Justin Sane is horrible and if he did what the allegations say he did, he should be punished for it. But at the same time I LOVE their music and have for 20 years now. Seems like we’re supposed to burn all of our records and forget the decades of great music they made.
Nah, nothing is too political, I just didn't know about that back in the 90s/00s, actually. Politics (while not always my thing) is kind of always woven in and out of the threads pf punk rock. I just came up in Houston, and there are tons of things I didn't know about bc of where I was geographically
Did I say Norvegian? 🤦 not sure how bad you are at it, but I ABSOLUTELY suck at geography! Always have. Ahhhh, ok, Netherlands is DUTCH! OK, I mixed up 2 places I've never been to or had the desire to go to. My bad, bro. Wasn't trying to upset you. 👊
Hey! Your channel is kicking major ass! So, about the Almighty AUS-ROTTEN:Eric Good, the guitarist/Singer said explicitly that they WERE NOT a Crust Punk Band. They were Hardcore. They were Street Punk. But like you said, lines get blurred, and bands take from other scenes and borrow and things get lent out and here’s whatcha get. LOL OH, if you want some REAL Punk Points😂🤮Check Out HUMAN INVESTMENT. Members of Aus-Rotten and AntiFlag.
Thank you for the compliment! Unfortunately when the art is made, the consumers of it typically decide what it is. I'm sure MANY bands consider themselves something and the fans do not, lol. That's wild that they called themselves a hardcore band, though... that's cool. I'll check out the other band, too, I assume it's not the singer of Anti-Flag?
@ Yeah, when I first head Aus-Rotten it was through this Street Punk to the fucking core tribe I’d hang out with fairly regularly. Like Punk Core Records was LIFE for them. Plus all the UK82 shit. They just happened to ADORE Aus-Rotten. When I first heard them I immediately thought CRUST AS FUCK, but I mean, the band itself never thought of themselves as being that so I mean 🤷🏻♂️LOL
@ No, it’s Dave Trenga, Aus-Rotten’s main singer. Almost if not all the songs sound like Aus-Rotten style songs. Just a bit different due to different band members obviously LOL DEFINITELY check that out. I feel it’s a HUGELY overlooked piece of Punk/Hardcore History.

Please keep making these videos. I enjoy learning about the punk scene and about the bands
I make a video like this fairly often, they'll be in this playlist. Top 10 TX Punk Bands coming next week!
@ I’ll be waiting!

Those comps were everything to us as young kids! My Texas Punk bands list is gonna be pretty polarizing, I think....
I used to play in a Texas Melodic Hardcore band. We had an EPITAPH/FAT sound mixed with old SST and DISCHORD sound.
11:50 - That’s not Endless Struggle, that’s Self Destruct. Mark Unseens other band. Clearly he’s in the picture.
@HorrorEpics82 My bad man, I've never even heard of Self Destruct. Clearly, i didn't recognize that was the wrong image. It was just a mistake, broski. I wasn't trying to make you upset. Oh look , all the bands I listened to in my youth
Thats all this one is, lol, NOSTALGIA, BABY! You see part 1? I'll pin a link in the comments...
blanks77 one of my fav.
I forgot how much I enjoyed them until I was making this video
Beerzone, Sick on the Bus, Submachine, The Oi! Scouts. Anyone go to the two US Holidays in the Sun fests? Those were bonkers.
What year were those fests and where were they held?
@ 2001 in San Francisco and 2002 in Asbury Park. I think they stopped doing them because ‘02 was so wild.
With The Restarts, if you like Outsider, you'll like all the other albums. Yasss!! When you started with Antidote I knew you were bringing the heat with this list. 🔥
I had to fix that one, actually, lol. I mixed up 2 bands called Antidote by mistake 🤦 it's all good tho, i never claimed i was perfect! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it
Aus - rotten and Blanks77 hell yeah
Right? I love going back and re-emersing myself in the stuff fron when i was young
Endless struggle had two albums before breaking up now back together they have a new album
Oh for real? That's dope! I had no idea they were back together... thanks for the heads up!
Great list! It was cool seeing you talk about Filth and The Restarts
Thanks man, I know it isn't perfect, but i do put in a lot of work on these videos. I appreciate you watching

I’ve heard of Aus Rotten from the band you can’t mention anymore. I’ll mention them…. Anti-Flag.
Yeah, I mentioned them in the podcast that drops on Thursday

Really good list man. Looking forward to a TX list for sure.
Thanks man, I love doing these type videos! The TX one is in the works and should be up next week!
Wärters SchlEchte from Stuttgart Germany
As for labels/zines, I think Profane Existence is worth a mention, or are they too political?
Nah, nothing is too political, I just didn't know about that back in the 90s/00s, actually. Politics (while not always my thing) is kind of always woven in and out of the threads pf punk rock. 90s street punk ?? VIOLENT SOCIETY. times of distraught... you're welcome 😂
Pretty good album, been a while since I listened to it, if I'm honest. Gonna listen to it today, tho!
Since when are the netherlands norvegian?
And i thought i suck at geography
Did I say Norvegian? 🤦 not sure how bad you are at it, but I ABSOLUTELY suck at geography! Always have.
Ahhhh, ok, Netherlands is DUTCH! OK, I mixed up 2 places I've never been to or had the desire to go to. My bad, bro. Wasn't trying to upset you. 👊
