Watching someone turn into a metal head is such a wonderful thing lol
Crazy how many people Ronnie has got into this genre
I agree. Ronnie, Chester & Mike (among others) showed rap & metal fans that our music overlaps in all the best ways & they can blend together perfectly.
Ronnie is fucking amazing!
Honestly, I don't know too many metalheads who aren't into hip hop. I grew up on rap (mostly boom-bap type stuff) and became a metal musician in my teens. There's definitely some overlap.
Ronnie got me into the genre too with popular monster. As well as bring me the horizon with parasite Eve. Was so sick.
Ronnie got me into rap too now thinking about it haha.
It used to really piss me off when other fans would say things about Sid and Craig having a minor role in the band. These songs would be completely different without the scratching, mixing, sampling, etc. Sid has always been my favorite band member and probably why I'm still a fan.
They had major roles on the first two albums, but they have definitely been pushed back on most of the later albums.
So It's not a matter of other fans saying anything. It's a decision made by the band, or more likely, Clown and Corey.
Sid is a troll!!! And I love him for it😂😂
@@wilcowiersma9465 he really is a kid at heart even still, I love that guy!
Sid is my favorite too
I’ve always been a fan Sid. Seeing them live cemented his role for me. Craig no disrespect to him but I have never been able to say “Oh that's him”. I know he is controlling the samples at the start of every show. But beyond that I can't directly point his work.
One word for you, my dude...... DISASTERPIECES !!!!
I’m doing the whole album on Patreon soon 🍿👀
@@TeddyGreyOS 🤘🔥🤘
@@TeddyGreyOS only thing better than the album would be the live dvd in london.
still cannot wait
That’s the live album right? The DVD is immense.
@@TheAcogshot I was going for the song... but put on the 's' by mistake :). And yes, pieces is a KICKASS dvd 🤘🤘
That album is all out aggression! Lotta booze, lotta drugs, almost zero will to live and a huge amount of hatred towards the world. Some of their best work.
Couldn't do it again if they tried, and I wouldn't want them to.
Right up there with Iowa
As a lonely kid this album means the world to me.
You are NOT ready
😂
No way near 😂😂😂
KNOT ready
@@sureshot7650 🤣🤣🤣KNOT
Nope , long road to understanding what you’re even listening to .
One of Slipknot's 9 members is their DJ Sid. He's a monster on his turntables.
Old school Slipknot, absolute carnage!!
A lot of the crazy samples and noises were done by Sid Wilson (gas mask) DJ and Craig Jones (nail head) Samples.
Slipknot does have a DJ in it, so that is the melody you hear under the guitars
This is the start to their IOWA album. An album definitely worth listening to entirely. Easily one of the heaviest albums ever.
Maggot for life born and raised in Iowa during the 90's 🤟🤟🤟☠️
For some reason this song makes me jump around like a lunatic. I love this songs energy.
Hell yeah, the energy on their first two albums is unmatched. It’s impossible for me not to get pumped up hearing them.
I remember wearing a Slipknot shirt with this song title on it to school in, I guess it would be year 11 for you, and got suspended for 3 days because of it. Nostalgia overload for me. And the message still holds up 20 something years later, who would have guessed?! Keep on your stuff man one the best reactors on YT!
I absolutely love videos like this and we all need them. Stuff like this breaks so called barriers and gatekeeping between music genres - and fans. You can listen and love anything regardless of genre if you appreciate the craft. Keep 'em coming, dude.
This was one of my favorites for a while! Glad your reacting to it.
It's so good! Definitely one of the best ones to chant along to like a Viking so far haha
Since you picked up on the tempo changes, this is intentional. Joey, the drummer, recorded this album without the use of a click, or a metronome, in his ear. Doing this adds a frenetic tension that lies somewhere around the line of conscious and subconscious. It can be so subtle at times and overt at others, but it all lends itself to keeping the listener disoriented and off-balance. This album wasn’t supposed to be polished and they hit the ball out of the park in countless ways.
Yes it adds to the discombobulated chaotic feeling masterfully.
Been following the metal playlist, and watching most of it. You are legit one of the best react content creators i've followed. Hands down.
Man I love how pumped you where at the end, at the same time I was headbanging with you at home! 😂 Saw them live 2009 "front row" and I catched a drumstick with their logo, signature and band name number 3 printed on it. Will always remember that night extra well becous of that. Thank you Chris Fehn for the throw!🤘
This song was fucking incredible live. The amount of energy in that small stadium is unlike anything I've ever felt. I was lucky enough to see the original 9 twice.
i love how he puts his mic up then put it down because he's speachless
You will LOVE the song “No Life” Slipknot. It’s on their first album
I love how much you genuinely love music. It really shows in your reactions. Sending you my best. Keep up the good work.
Been firmly on my pre-gym playlist for years, one of the perfect hype songs for me
yo Teddy im 1:55 into this video, and you have me just grinning from ear to ear, its awesome how much you get into it.
SURFACING!!! Is a must!
The drum cam of this song is absolutely brilliant
Joey was the best !!
0:58 it speeds up because they didn’t record to a click for that album. I like how much it lets the music breathe and flow, and the band plays very tight anyways so you wouldn’t notice really unless you know what to listen for
Disasterpiece next please , the Iowa era was the darkest time of the band's carrier and it's a beast of an album.
the reason it's so vicious is after the first album and the success and reality hit of the industry came the drugs , alcohol and unhealthy life styles the band was living. and also cause they didn't get any time off .
Between self-titled and Iowa they got two weeks off from touring and had to go make another album after touring 1999 - 2000 non stop !
The best way I can put it is iowa is like a skin that you wear! Great reaction too by the way!
Welcome to the family brother. Maggots for life🤘🤘
Thank you for this reaction. It was nice to see your honest emotions.
i dont know if someone already commented on it, but these little things you mentioned in the beginning are put in by Sid Wilson, who is the DJ in Slipknot. He's responsible for all the "weird"/"creepy" sounds in the background and its amazing.

Thanks for your Reaction's mate❤
Eyeless should be on your list at some point!
Vermillion 1 and 2 are some of my fave. Love watching your journey.
Hey bro it’s really cool watching you turn into a Metal Head, I’ve been listening to all this shit since the mid 90’s I’m now 41.. It NEVER leaves you 🤘
Your reaction to the chorus is priceless 🤣
This song is so damn good. For so many reasons. I’m glad you understand it so well
That shit was f#@%ing dope watching him become an instant fan
I heard this in like 2001 when I was maybe 13 and I pretty much reacted the way you did. Before I heard this song I was listening to Britney Spears and The Offspring and this changed my life. I don't care for them really anymore but they were absolutely a key point of my childhood.
Glad to see your into it bro 😎
Here for the journey mate💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Okay, one, Iove your vids! As a person who has grown up listening (and still listens) to multiple genres of rock, it's always a joy to watch others experience it for the first time. It's as close as people who listen to it all the time can get to experiencing it for the first time again. Also your commentary and insight are absolutely fabulous as well and I enjoy it immensely! TWO. Great choices by the comments, keep bringing on the bangers yo! THREE. I have some recommendations myself (honestly just if you're interested in getting some bands you might not have heard of yet) I'm sure Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Staind, Coheed and Cambria, Sick Puppies, Seether, Flyleaf and Bullet for My Valentine have been mentioned (if not here ya go! ❤) But Evans Blue, Dream Theater, Intervals, Story of the Year, Manchester Orchestra, Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch and Red are all fantastic too. My highest rec. if you haven't heard of him, is David Maxim Micic. Please please PLEASE check him out (Also his bands Destiny Potato and Sordid Pink) he's an AMAZING artist and his music is like a religious experience I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is really, REALLY appreciative of music as an art. Thanks for the wonderful content my guy, hope you and yours are doing well ✌️(sorry for long comment lol)
I think that you should do the drum cam version as well, you'll get blown away by Joey Jordison
Teddy....next....Eyeless....get on it!
One of my favorites. 🤘
One of the best. I second this
Go to any Slipknot show and watch the entire crowd breathe a sigh of relief that they have this catharsis.
Slipknot is in my top 5 favorites. And few can sing/scream like Corey does.
the band are behind the entire sounds of every sound
This was amazing, I've been a Slipknot fan for over 20 years 🤦🏻♀️ (how is that possible?)
At first I didn't think you understood but I loved watching you get into it
Get ready for the most intense performance in the history of fucking ever
that was Slipknot what I felt in love back in 2001... so nostalgic ...
the reason the tempo is changing is because back in the day they seldom wrote to a metronome, not sure if they still don’t use one of if it’s used now
Love your reactions. You just get into it. Awesome😊
My first Slipknot concert was during the time this album came out and the concert was incredible and the fuckin pit when this song started, went insane.
Maggot for life 🤘
Hell yeah, amazing choice! I love this one. Disasterpiece or Eyeless would be great next. Dead Memories, also.
I think my favorite thing about his reaction to this song is that he only stopped it once because he was just too into it to cut it off. True sign of him loving it!
You should totally react to Tallah. They're like Slipknot on crack.
The producer you are talking about is Sid Wilson bro he’s also the dj of the band too
Favorite song by them by a mile cause it’s true
I was at the Pledge of Allegiance Tour in St Louis when they had just released this album with my best friend at the time his brothers and a couple of friends. We were slamming around into each other in the seats trying to destroy everything even ourselves. When we made it back home my wife and our other friends that didn’t go said we looked like we’d been killed brought back to life and killed again. It’s was by far the best and most cathartic show I’ve ever been to. I let go of a LOT of anger I had inside me that night.
amazing reaction man!!
I so highly recommend you react to the same song, but live in london 2002. The energy is absolutely unreal!!
1:00 Teddy scared the shit out of me, thought that you were behind me.😂
0:53
you bobbing your head trying to keep up with the drums has me crying with laughter 😂😂
A new maggot is born! 🤘🤘
Next group that you have to react to, that you might not know is meshuggah, i think you will have mix reactions to it, so it will be interesting your reaction to meshuggah if you do it one day
All 9 members put input to it all. Sid Wilson is doing the scratching. I love SLIPKNOT!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
"The Blister Exists" will blow your mind i think ! You need to do a react man 🫣😁
The D'n'B type sounds you can hear are from the bandmate SID he is on the decks in the band and is also a dj by the name of DJ Starscream ❤
AWESOME 🎉🎉🎉😊
This is still my hype song. In the small career of backyard wrestling as a kid, this was my theme song.
Holy shit you did it!
You are ready now!❤
This is the epitome of the RAWNESS of Slipknot!
BEST REACTION EVER
God knows why the metal stuff struggles to get onto UA-cam, it's such family friendly content. Tis a mystery.
😅😂 Your reactions are so fun to watch! I have a Slipknot tattoo that goes from my ankle to my knee, so I had to comment on this one.😊 P.L.U.R.R. from Texas!
Hell yeah
You should have seen the live version it's amazing
Yo, Teddy checking some PRIMO Slipknot? Fuuuuuuck yes
Slaughter to Prevail when??? :D I love these Slipknot reactions
Alex would kill him, maybe wait till does few more reactions 😂
@@Andjelka99 Yeah, but at the same time I don't want him to get TOO used to it, you know :D
Maggot for life born and raised in Iowa during the 90's 🤟🤟🤟 This boys changed Metal forever
Fantastic reaction, the glee in your face and voice... its great 😂
Apparently skin ticket is thei very first song of their career of when the dark, twisted, scary songs were born. And people = shit it afterwards.
Richard cheese has done lounge-version from that song. Its hilarious. Ive had it years as wake up alarm
Have you listened to skindread yet?.. if you like to be in the place we're music crosses over you neeeeeeed to hear them.
The band FILTH has some dope songs out that fuse rapping and metal. Chin Check & Stay Gutter both go hard, I think you'd enjoy them
Sid is the guy who puts the bits in there to change the tempo up
Great show
I feel like you would enjoy Dope - Die MF die.
Great Traffic Song ☺️
This album is my favorite. Iowa, the darkest album ever made.
PLEASE REACT TO JOEY'S FANCAM FOR EYELESS the drums were insaaaaaaaaaaaaaane , he is one true fckn legend
rip!!!!
Has he reacted to Wait and Bleed yet? That’d be a good one
🤘
Crazy thing is, Joey, the drummer that you're hearing was basically self-taught.
RIP legend
Metal brings out the person inside you
we need I PREVAIL next!!!
Hands down best Slipknot album. Fight me. I remember seeing them back in 98. When they were just coming up. They were soooo much more brutal.
You definitely need to watch Joey Jordison's drum cam for this song
Must see it live
A great way to intro the Iowa album
In 10 years are we gonna see a metal head doing hip hip reactions? 🙏😂😂
I hope so, I’d watch that! 😂
Unless metal became the mainstream I dont really see it lol. lots of metal heads listen to rap and hip hop, myself included. They even play it at times inbetween sets at live metal shows. At least this is the case with several shows I've been to. It's so mainstream that it's generally accepted by everyone, whereas many people are so closed minded that they disregard metal and call it trash, so I guess you could say there is a demand for watching people react to metal that wouldn't normally resonate with it. If metalheads made hip hop reactions, I'm sure some people would watch it but I just don't think it would hit the same. Not sure if this is a bad take but just my opinion. You probably don't care about my opinion but I just wanted to share my thoughts lol
This man does not look real when he's bopping along to slipknot... and It's fricken great lol
