Yeah Slowhand missed a chance to do a good timey Chas Dave Albert Lee pub rock album but instead went full tilt into Phil Collins glossy pop...get back to the music hall Eric!
I am both a player .a huge Clapton fan and also a huge fan of Albert lee . Albert would cut most players in half . He is in another league . Check out his version of cocaine .
Albert Lee! Still rockin at 80! Saw him at the Falcon in Marlboro NY, May 2024. His voice is still strong, and his piano skills are also amazing. So glad I saw him. Nice guy too!
@@timacosby Clapton as a bit of a miserable git, and at the time was either using heroin or just coming out of it. He was never known for his joviality!
Very stylish guitarist with good song. His guitar weeps in tears in heaven, sings in "wonderful to night . Some folks wrote JH jammed him without knowing what is guitar . This man is unparalleled in his style with voice of blues. He is the only guiraist who palyed with everybody from Lennon to Knofler, BB, Freddi kings , winwood, paul, Harrison, Gray and so on, on. Highly accomodative as he is great individual and great team player. Long live Clapton .
Eric and JJ Cale were very good friends. After JJ passed away Eric did a memorial video for him. I think he also did a album called Road to Escondido for JJ's memory.
Love Clapton here...his last great studio album and tour....Money and Cigarettes....with Albert Lee.....I despised his commercial sellout at the hands of top 40 schlockmeister Phil Collins....the 80's haircuts...the suits dressed up like a half assed Robert Palmer...that hideous cheesy 80's synth sound....loved him from 1970 -83 the most....From the Cradle was a welcome relief....throwback...
Those are fantastic albums....Clapton was influenced by those guys....and boosted their careers and exposure to many who never knew about them...Clapton's best period....the contrasting styles of E.C.and Albert Lee...between.....79 -83.....awesome...
@@FenderTele Yes, I'm aware of Tulsa Ok. But the subject is about Eric's songs with Female names. So Tulsa Time. just dosen't fit in the subject matter at hand; notwithstanding Tulsa Time is a good song.
The singer always gets the main camera, that's how it is. Why would you show the band all the time or any part of it when you have a singer of the caliber of Eric Clapton?
Hi Eric. My name is Linda and I’m 79 and believe me I have slowed down. lol
And you aren't alone regards late 70s slow down!
Without doubt the greatest guitarist on the planet.. whether it's blues, rock, rockabilly, or whatever, you name it, he's the man.
Pure boogie rock from Clapton! I wish the man would do a whole album of fun rockin little tunes like this.
Yeah Slowhand missed a chance to do a good timey Chas Dave Albert Lee pub rock album but instead went full tilt into Phil Collins glossy pop...get back to the music hall Eric!
This is from "Money And Cigarettes " from '82...check it out
Can't get better than this, the sound is amazing from Mick, Dave, Chas, Albert and Eric
Great song Thanks and WOW Linda!!!!!
eric clapton. the greatest guitar player of all time. no one out there better than him.

You are entitled to your opinion ...I am entitled to disagree
😂😂😂 plenty of his peers are you crazy I am name 10
Duane Allman
You are not a guitar player
One Great Song
Five of the best musicians you could cram onto one stage.
Absolutey
Albert Lee! Still rockin at 80! Saw him at the Falcon in Marlboro NY, May 2024.
His voice is still strong, and his piano skills are also amazing. So glad I saw him.
Nice guy too!
He was rocking in June in Tring, UK, too!
I’m floored!! Pure class. THAT’S how a band should sound!
Absolutely love this song! Money & Cigarettes was a fantastic album!
Brilliant TV..... real happiness and dynamism, right there in front of the camera. Programme makers in 2021... take note!!

I'm not plannin' on slowing down anytime soon. 😂
They were so young, that was difficult to know to Albert Lee, without his white hair of today
Eric Clapton would have been a pretty good country artist. You never know.
Slow Down Linda
Slow down Linda,lay down Sally....which will it be Eric?😂Then there's Layla🤔
Can I add Tulsa Time into the mix🎸🎸👍
@@FenderTele NO, Tulsa is not a female name

Waitwaitwait... Eric Clapton and Albert Lee together on the same stage, and no guitar solos?! Why would they do this to us?
Albert Lee was rhythm guitarist for Clapton in the 70's
Great music by Chas and Dave but who are those two hick guitarists on stage with them?
(Only joking folks).
Maybe 40 yrs ago
♡
Can anyone point me to the whole show of this?

Yep durty scumbag. Have some manners.
They cut out the guitar solo from the orininal version....that's blasfemy when it's a Clapton song.....;-(
i bet eric loved playing with the legends C and D

That's spelled blasphemy, just saying.
You can't beat the English .
Will never compare to Chet Atkins
Second only to Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix was a noise maker, Eric Clapton is in a different universe!
Sounds like a copy of
rockin pneumonia & the boogie woogie flu johnny rivers
I wish they’d show the pianist a bit, dont need to see Claptons face so much.
The singer always gets the main camera, that's how it is. Why would you show the band all the time or any part of it when you have a singer of the caliber of Eric Clapton?
I like seeing Clapton back then...wipeout the contrived Phil Collins makeover image that was shoved down our throats....
