Your introductory self monologue was acutely accurate. You articulate your feelings much better than the seemingly unending supply of ignorant " so called sane, normal" people.
Right at this moment I'm also getting worked up at far too many keyboard warriors on the internet. It's hard to try and win online but really easy to get angry. Like trying to punch a ghost.
I hate the normalization of the dog-eat-dog mentality thats so pervasive, where slyly making a mockery of others ( while posting pictures of your chickpea salads and inspirational quotes on social media) just serves to amp up ones status even more, apparently.
It can feel incredibly isolating at times in the world when it feels like every other person shows subtle bigotry... or blatantly at times.
Even other minorities can do this imsidous form of bullying for clout. Like the vibe of " i feel like shit deep down so ill make you feel like it too so i feel better" is absurd and dysfunctional. But it's so common!
I love your idea of reframing language. " Human Decency " is something no one can argue with. People love to rant about " everything is just so pc these days blah blah blah".
Like stop being an ass! But no...the "political correctness argh" stuff is just an excuse.
In beauty school, these ladies were making fun of lesbians and there were some gay girls right there in class, who never revealed their partners until the graduation party ( knowing they didn't have to see those assholes again). Sad.
