Love the video’s Randy! God bless you and your family. I try not to miss any of the uploads you put out there for everyone. So many tips and pointers for the public to take in and use on their future fishing trip’s. So much knowledge that you put out for everyone, I just wanted to thank you Randy for everything you put out on your UA-cam channel man. 👍💯❤️🎣
The sexy shad pattern in Oklahoma tends to get ignored by bass, however, I catch lots of saugeye, walleye, crappie, white bass, hybrid stripers, catfish, and even drum on that color.
Good morning!! I always look forward to watching your videos daily, your content/topics are great and the tips that you provide have helped me tremendously!! These are some great tips and I have learned to stick to crankbait colors like you presented but your explanation of when to use these really makes a difference!! Thank you!!
I look forward to watch and listen to your expertise on bass fishing videos every day mr .Randy the mental mondays too , I’m so sorry you lost your dad too , my dad brought me fishing when I was 8 and I’ve loved it , breathed it , and ate it since then he taught me how to fish and I went every weekend with him till I became an adult but even after I still fished with him , he taught me everything also made me who I am today and I loved him so much but I lost my best fishing buddy , my dad on Friday and I can’t believe he’s gone , thanks for everything mr .Randy , sincerely
Randy! Your a wealth of bass fishing information! An awesome family man! And great presenter of information! I appreciate your UA-cam channel! Tight lines!
My personal favorite is grilled ribeye steak medium rare to medium color pattern with some salt and pepper. I don't care what the time or conditions are if I catch sight or smell of that you can guarantee my reaction will be to choke it all the way to my stomach.
I've yet to gain any confidence in squarebills, I'll have to give these tips a shot. After all, I've got a box full of them. thanks for the pointers Randy!!
Thank you Randy! Always listen closely to you and have a lot of your videos bookmarked. Megabass lures are out of my price range, but I improvise. Sometime, try reverse psychology with the like and subscribe. People don't like to be told what to do. Especially younger viewers (I have 3 grown boys). You are not alone. Many channels have the same issue. Your numbers are growing, my friend, and will continue if you keep the videos coming. It may not be something you can do, but I would love to see you out on the boat with a GoPro strapped to your chest!
Hey Randy thank yiu so much for this tip today. I always thought this color was too much but when you fish it in low light conditions it's money. Today I had about 11 catches with a 1.0 on a spinning rod. I caught a 1lb 10" bluegill, a perch and many bass. Small bas but there were a couple big ones Especially the one that jumped straight out of the water and smiled as it shook of the lure. Fishing it slow with a stop and go retrieve was the ticket. Next time I won't spend so much time on topwater.
Back in the late 70s early 80s as a teenager.. I'd use the yellow black back in local ponds and caught most of my best bass on it .... always in my box
Randy, my question is unrelated to the video and wanted to know if you could discuss how you break down a lake in preparation for a tournament. Thanks!
I think most who aren't subbing are probably your competitors and they don't want ya to know they are here hahaha... The others are the ones who always have something negative to say or bots... Good info as always and hopefully one day I'll get my buddy to listen to you and 'Fish the moment' so he'll finally start doing the things we need to do. I catch more alone from my kayak doing what I learn from y'all than what the both of us do together from the boat. God bless ya Randy
I've learned more off your videos then any others out there ... Thank You .. Don't have the funds to join , but without a doubt , your's would be first
I am one of your subscribers and really enjoy your vids. At 71 I chose to start bass fishing. You are really good at explaining a lot of the nuances of baits, colors, when and what to use. Is there a difference according to different states we live in? Thanks so much!
I really enjoy all of your content. I am 42 and have been bass fishing since I was 10. Just bought my first bass boat. (1999 Ranger 518vx 200hp optimax) any tips or suggestions for a new boater? All comments welcome Thanks all
If you have the time in the middle of the week win all the working men that only have the weekend to fish aren’t out there and you can learn to run the area you are going to be fishing , get use to the controls , get a good feeling of the boat and how it handles on the water going into and out of carves and most of all learn how to operate the boat into, with, and cross the wind also the proper way to dock, load and unload without any help so that on a bad windy day with 20-30 boats docked and a line to load up you do it with confidence knowing that you aren’t going to hit someone’s brand new 75,000-140,000$ boat and be dealing with them crying or even wanting to fight then everyone in line going crazy because it’s taking “TO LONG “ but also if you are not comfortable doing something in the boat DONOT DO IT an if you need help ASK FOR IT be safe and remember if someone goes with you fishing or even gust riding YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT PERSON 100% so learn the rules for the water in your state and lake river everywhere you will be going and live by them and you will have fun for a very long time and make memories and will last longer than you will on this earth and respect others on the water and don’t do anything that you would not like dun to you on the water
Randy I watch you and Matt and I’m a tell you some people don’t know what they’re missing they think they know but like I tell me and like I’ll tell you you’ve been doing it for so long it’s pretty much not a guarantee but it’s always what works for you so why not and it ain’t like you’re saying one beat you gave four different colors, I appreciate everything you do you guys are great and you are awesome, I love the biggest thing about you and that’s family I always tell my wife that there’s not a great man out here that doesn’t have a good woman behind him and that’s the honest truth and makes a lot of stressful days easier knowing that the companion is there to listen and will never turn away take care brother I wish you much success this year don’t stop fighting until you want to give up what should be the days when you teach the boys how to destroy and still have manners
Randy how would you feel about a memorial tournament in Ray Scott’s Honor for amateur anglers in their everyday boats. No Restrictions when it comes to boat brands like the BPS Open is…. And the top 5 or 10 Anglers get a chance to fish the Classic… I think that’s something worth doing!!! We have to keep the legacy and memory alive with the next generations and keep the history of the sport present at all time and I think a tournament like that would be great for the public and the legacy!!!
I'm inconsistent with square bills. Sometimes I do really well others I I strike out. I only through them in windy or choppy water if it somewhat clean & I use them in dirty water most of the time. So am I picking wrong colors or sometimes I'm
I caught a fish ohio perch on a perch colored jerkbait this spring. Surprised the heck out of me. She was packed full with eggs so i must've ticked her off i guess
I find it amusing some they guys try to critique the advice you give. Considering how long you been a professional angler with all top sponsors you have
Hay brother Randy was that a green gizzard shad color the translucent crank you didn’t say the color of that one if it is that’s the same way I was showed to fish by my dad and uncle’s that is a killer color all over the south but will work on almost every lake river stream one pond anywhere if you know where win and how to fish it
Sexy Shad color? Way over rated, no matter what lure or brand you are using. My favorite square bill, or any other type of crankbait is Lucky Craft. Most productive color for me is Crack Black. It has a flash to it from a holographic scale on the top sides of the bait. It closely resembles a shad. It works in most every water clairity because of that sudtle flash.
Those people who gripe at everything you say are just haters that troll all the fishing UA-cam channels and try to get something going but ignoring them hurts them worse than a response
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing

I agree, a perch pattern is my downright favorite. Works great in p.a.

Yah, don't cut no one off or cut in front of them. Always ask them if thier fishing a certain spot and if they don't mind you coming in "behind" them.

Along with the lake maps, are you creating similar content for bait selection, or relying on that Deep Dive app?
