I used to live on a Dutch barge moored near Faversham in Kent. There were sheep in the field opposite and your lovely video brought back happy memories of watching the lamb gang tearing around on the other side of the creek! I'm binging your content....
Creative genius is what these videos are it removes me from this 9-5 life and shows me a calming view of life, those lambs tho, crocheting is for the win.❤
Another Uber relaxing video @Kris - and loved your string version of the German tourist beach towel... it worked and you saved your mooring spot - well done.
Its like you should be a story teller proffessionally. I love this its so good. You know when youve found a sparkling jewel (like a water cap!) In amoungst a falinx of You Tube vids. Please please more more... Alistair P.s love the background music.
Hey there, I hope you’re keeping yourself cosy and warm. Thank you for sharing your video with me. I appreciate it/you. 🙂🐿🌈❤️ My dad had cattle, but a friend of mine lived about 40 minutes away, and her neighbours had 🐑 sheep. Every year the mum’s and their lambs would be in a field, part of which was the boundary fence between the 2 properties. Next to and alongside the fence were trees for summer shade, wind protection etc. Several years ago (around 4 years) the neighbour thinned out the tree line (we ALL had fire wood that year). Anyway - one older larger tree was simply left where it fell. We could see the fence line and the big log from my friends big back windows. We noticed that the lambs were jumping on and off the log. They were having an absolute ball. One would then run along the length of the log, and then a few other lambs would copy them until they were all taking turns to “play” on the “big log” as we called it 🙂. The amazing thing was the following lambing season, the now older lambs would come over to the Big Log and it was like they were showing the new season’s lambs what to do and how much fun it was🙂 It was amazing. During the year as the lambs grew up, occasionally they would be hanging around in the shade, near the Big Log. Sometimes a few would jump onto it etc. BUT as soon as the new baby lambs arrived and they were old enough, I swear it was as if the older ones brought them there to show them how much fun the log was. Those lambs would play for ages and ages. They ran around chasing each other jumping and leaping as lambs do. Sometimes they were little terrors. Like a gang of fluffy tearaways. I’m living in the city these days, but my friend calls me to let me know when the neighbour’s new lambs are discovering the joy that is the Big Log. This comment is already long enough, but I just want to share one more thing - Did you know that cattle, specifically females/cows and heifers will form a crèche. The younger females or heifers will stay with the new calves whilst the mothers stretch their legs and graze on their own. It’s amazing 🙂❤️ The more you know hey 🤔 You learn something new every day.
Love love love your videos/photography/choice of music! And your knitwear!! Which has got me back into knitting after a long spell so thank you. ☺️ My fave narrowboat channel for sure and look forward to watching your canal life journey!
So glad you bought a boat. So glad you decided to film you and your boat. All for us! Kind of you.. 😉 (I almost said Lambtastic, but I thought better of it).
Another great video - thank you! So refreshing not to see the boring "full-face-to-camera" style video that many creators seem to do, with endless talking head close-ups of themselves banging on about something or other of no interest whatsoever. You create a very watchable atmosphere / mood with your productions, and the quality of photography, narration and music says a lot about your creative skills in all of those areas, plus of course your editing. All very engaging, warm and relaxing. Loved the lambs gambolling around in the fields, too! Thanks again. :-)
I'm not sure whether I made a similar comment before. However: If you start a YT channel that is not just for your family and friends, you should be able to offer something unique. The images and composition here definitely stand out among channels generally, but certainly among canalboat videos! I would not keep watching this channel, however, if the narration and choice of music weren't at least adequate to the outstanding quality of the images.
I have seen other boaters putting the water caps(lid) down and was surprised that they don't go overboard more often. Having worked in the Aerospace industry, I am surprised they do not have safety chains fitted so they cannot be detached from the boat. Probably not practical to fit one now but the initial design was flawed. Anything in a Satellite that can become detached had to have a restraining strap attached.
It is supposed to have a chain, but the screw to attach it has snapped in the threads at some point before we got to it, we haven't been successful in getting it out yet. Maybe a drill could work, but we haven't got that far yet!
@@krisatomic PS I’m all the way in Los Angeles discovered your vlogs and I so enjoy them! Also, 100% obsessed with narrow boats now! Thanks for sharing with us!
🤿🤿🙌🙌 I’m not there at the moment as I’m in Spain ? else I would have helped? I’m in the marina I’ve dropped my brand new hose in by my boat? Thinking of doing the same? The screw under the cap put a chrome chain on and attach the over end too a piece of stainless steel wire
❓I moored in the same place my name stephen see my boat at the start of this video? ua-cam.com/video/uwJH1FvRcc8/v-deo.html I’m in Dunchurch pool marina how much is a winters mooring there? ❤ your video’s very good quality filming and editing?? Didn’t now that a Fujifilm X-T3 was that good ?what mic do you use please add to your equipment list? Hope to see you both when I return from Spain? Steve
Hiya! Braunston winter mooring is £8 per meter, per month. I use a Blue Yeti mic for the voiceovers (amzn.to/43wKcJl) I've added it to the description for future ref. Thank you! Enjoy Spain :)
@@krisatomic thank you 🙏 Kris my mountain bike is a Yeti? I pay £245 month at Dunchurch pool marina you can stay three months there in winter? I need to leave the boat for three month at a time it’s safe there? I’m in the process of making a UA-cam video of my trip from Gloucester 🙈 keep up the good work !like to see people add what three words to there location so gives us reassurance we’re to stay? 👍
Features the ceremonial re-installation of the oh-so-painstakingly-retrieved water cap - glad to see it fitted, after all your efforts!
Haha yes!!
Not only are you a master story teller, but you have also mastered light. Delightful as always.
