I really love your videos. Such great filming and editing. They are so calming but at the same time interessting and sometimes funny. And of course the nature is so beautiful. I am alway happy when there‘s a new video!
It's like you are on safari: the land beyond the M25; the land of no irony, of unknowing kitsch, patriotic gestures and genuine urban decay. I have enjoyed your unusual perspective and flashy references from Daedalus to Blair Witch. It all makes for a rich brew. Not for the unwary.
Evening! I have been waiting three weeks for this video lol. So happy when I saw you had uploaded a new video. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hope to see more. Austin x
The reason Sutton Stop and locks like it exist is so that there’s a physical barrier between the two canals that would once have been operated by separate companies. Water being the essential resource was valuable and so the companies would not want it flowing freely between the canals.
I did read about it afterwards, it’s super interesting! It was supposed to be a level stop lock, but an error in the levels mean that the two sides weren’t the same height which is why it does actually have to operate as a lock. It a 7 inch difference apparently
Just recently found you guys on here. Love your vlogs so much. You make the ordinary extraordinary. They are like little works of art each one. Thank you so much ☺️
:chuckles: The clash of canal-speed life and passing by a National Grid substation as I pondered if I had ever worked on the control system for that one :) It's Coventry North I think, so I have likely configured some of the related feeders.
Such beautiful scenery ❤you have filmed some beautiful shots of the ducks on the canal and the beautiful colour of the the trees it’s just a joy to watch and very relaxing to watch ….look forward to watching more videos on this channel …..📚💞📚
Hello Kris, Andrew and Matilda - greetings from Poland What a wonderful video. Beautifully photographed and recorded. The drone shots were spectacular. A lovely journey through gorgeous countryside. Oh yes! the unidentified sheep was a Beddlington Terrior. After watching your film, I felt completely relaxed. Thanks so much for taking me along. See you again soon. Stay safe please
Great video again, you're the the first vlogger I've seen to show us the inside the Greyhound pub, thanks, most people just cruise past. Looking forward to your vlogs when you start cruising full time.
Really enjoyed this vlog! Your filming and editing is fantastic-you’ve managed to include so much content and shots into 22 mins. I especially like the choice of music which is so effective. Can’t wait for your next video!
Hello Karen from Australia. I have just found your channel and I've been binge watching you. Question/s how often do the channels get cleaned out ? Is it a government thing/ owned and upkeep of them ? Who keeps the walking tracks and edges maintained/ cut back ?. I LOVE YOUR CHANNELS two groovy people and the cat is so chilled
Well done, you've captured our lives and what we love to see, perfectly! I'm enjoying your journey because I'm ccing up North now and it'll be a long time until I can visit that part of the system again.
Another fabulous vlog. Beautiful filming and those colours! Obsessed with the toilet situation on a canal boat. Compost seems impossible with the crts new rules. The pump out seems the best option apart from the expense. Be interested to see how many facilities you find along the waym
I thought composting sounded like a good idea until I actually found out how it works and now I don’t understand how anyone on a boat makes it work. The one person I’ve spoken to in detail said they have several roof boxes where they transfer solid waste to compost (for the year that it takes). I think it’s important to know one’s limitations and I draw the line at shovelling poo onto my roof every couple of weeks. There are some services in London (and maybe in other cities) that take the solid waste and compost it for you - great. But the vast majority of people are surely just bagging and binning it? That’s not composting!
I'm watching from Denmark. I love what you show - and tell us. Just one little wish... Could you leave your texting on a little bit longer, and maybe also use a bit bigger letters? 😅😉 Thanks for letting us travel along with you!
Hi Marianne, thanks so much for your comment. I’m working on making the captioning better, I think the best thing to do is to use the actual CC featuring for any functional text. I will work on making sure that that’s available as soon as the video goes live (sometimes those features aren’t available for mysterious UA-cam reasons). That means that you should be able to control the appearance of the text, and in the future additional languages could also be added! But I am working on this, I promise!
Great video again thanks . If I can make a criticism though about the music , hope you don’t mind , it was a bit all over the place and mad up until the roast dinner and was much calmer there after which was much more fitting in my opinion. Thanks ❤
Totally valid, music is so personal and can be really divisive. I really just go off the vibes when I’m editing, so maybe I was feeling a bit frantic subconsciously 😅
@@krisatomic 😊 thank you for acknowledging my comment , hope it was a useful comment. I did like the music but the more zen type was so much better for your video. I’m a creative myself which is why I appreciate your vlogs
@@Red-ns9ny not at all, thank you for taking the time to comment. Video definitely feels like a work in progress for me and I kind of feel like I’m discovering what the videos are about as I make them, so it’s interesting to hear how they come across to fresh eyes (and ears!)

We love your videos 😊 the photography, music, books, witty comments & even the trips to Tesco! Thank you ❤

Ahh thank you very much, I hope it didn’t disappoint!! Hoping that my editing gets faster the more I do, at the moment I’m terribly slow 😅
@@krisatomic Both me and the wife loved it.
Yay! What a lovely finale to a gorgeous series. I know they must be v labour-intensive but on behlaf of the people - please do another!
Also new fave statement for 2023: WHAT IS THE REASON.
There will definitely be more 😌 Thank you!
Love your channel! So grateful the UA-cam gods decided I should find you❤
That’s soo lovely to hear, thanks so much 🥰😘
The canal side garden show was super awesome to see 🪴
That was such a stunning visual treat. Thank you for taking such care and time making these for us to watch x

Awesome editing. I hope you get the number of followers you deserve cos this is clearly better than some narrowboat vlogs our there.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Such variety of scenery music and commentary. Congrats
Thank you very much!
I fell in at Hawksbury junction once as I was on the bow and my other half messed up the corner. One of my favourite spots on the canal :)
Oh nooo! My own falling in wasn't too far from there haha, but all my own fault!!
Just found your channel today. Love all the interesting tidbits that you film.
Thank you ❤️
Interesting vlog ,Thank you 👍

Where did you get your Marmite mug?
It was some kind of gift set one Christmas, not sure I’m afraid!
Why does there have to be a reason?
Everything happens for a reason 😂
Lurvely cinematography & editing.
What is it with manikins on the cut ? It's disturbing.
Why do narrowboat ers make, plans when no idea of time to dista nce and pleasures to be found on the way
