Without a doubt, brother! I wonder if the firing order was changed like a normal LS style if it would sound different somebody that's going to stroke it to a 427 and put some nasty cams and it!
@rawful5071 depends on the supercharger kit you're talking about, but I would like to see that with a fully tune and bolt ons Z06 versus a supercharged C8!

That’s pretty awesome, being an lt6 have you seen any difference in the parameters hptuners allows you to see from the engine? Assuming it is using the same ecm as the lt2 they might be able to crack into the lt6 sooner than they did with the lt2!

Send that ECM to Trifecta and get it unlocked like the Boost District car. I assume it has Global B etc.

Once this C8 gets an e85 tune she’ll be fast af👀also y’all should try porting the stock intake manifold. May be able to pick up power w no tune.

Man, I wish I could get a 7spd manual with this car! My left leg, right arm, and right big toe had a mind of their own and we're twitching at the shift points watching this. I don't care if I could be a tick quicker! I want to drive my car , I'm not out making a livelihood on driving a car light to light. I will never get behind the idea of jamming down the gas and steering with one finger like I'm on a Sunday cruise in a Buick regal. Boring!

Would've been real impressive it 100%stock but it was not. A Shelby GT500 just ran multiple 9.90's with a CAI and a tune. Oh well, still fast anyways. Congrats!!

Funny as the 500 is faster in the 1/4 with a proper tire, and faster in a roll as well. The Z06 is faster on a track where at the end of the day you will burn through 4k worth of tires.
But but GT has a blower, take it off and than let's see. Duhhh
I was in the 9's with a Built 1971 Nova on Cam 2 fuel and 1000 lbs less weight at 7500 rpm

What causes any engine to blow? Every car ever manufactured has blown engines.
@E K could be manufacture defects, software, etc. So basically still unknown.

@@EK-rr2md An 8th of a mile would be 660 feet. I didn't know they had tracks that short... I'd always thought of a drag strip as 1320 feet, but nowadays as cars are becoming incredibly fast, that they've shortened some strips to 1000 ft to reduce speeds. I didn't see a distance on the time slip so I chose to ask rather than assume. But that said, I guess I do assume that you're quite possibly an asshole.

You got sound punked. Then, after the run, the engine is so loud I can't tell what ur say'in. I'd like to see the "stock" tires on the car rather than drag radials and a non-prepped surface just to see what the "real world" numbers are like. And do you think the ERay will beat the Z06?

Most C7 Zs range from 7.6-8.2 from what I’ve seen and based on friends cars. I’m sure a couple outliers are quicker or slower.
Sucks how the C8 can’t be tune to any E. Cost around $20k too just for it to be barely hitting 9 sec quarter mile.

Generally speaking, it's a good 3 to 5 tenths faster than a C7 Z06, and pretty much equal to a C7 ZR1
There is two separate UA-cam channels who ran two stock 2015 c8 z06’s A8 on factory tires and they both ran 10.4
No stick shift any more ☹️☹️.... it could be boring....maybe it just me ...

In a straight line....if you can get it to stop. Plaid sounds worse than a Civic.....(nada decibels). Don't get me wrong, a Plaid will put you back in your seat, but its just not exciting. A Plaid cannot go to the track.

Steven, you have to get rid of that cameraman immediately. This is a tragedy 1s. UA-cam sins against videoing, especially a vehicle at the quarter mile. That man should be losing sleep at night horrible I'm losing sleep thinking about it! But anyways, if you're hiring a new video person, I will work for trade, I'll just bring over my LSX-powered vehicles, and we can work something out. Thank you from your future videographer.

So tired when people say it’s a stock car, when u modify the exhaust sys and put all these parts on other then factory, it’s NOT STOCK! It’s been modified, the z06 stock does 10,6 stock, at 10,3 u modified the car from factory, as long as u invested to buy parts for a stock car, sorry but it’s been modified from factory, I can’t stand when people say it’s all stock car, when they are nvested ti make it go faster,
In your guys minds , stock meaning no engine modifications, your wrong, as soon as u it parts on any stock car, it’s been modified, especially tires,

The only time a car is stock is when u add racing fuel, exhaust cats and 888 tires, are modified parts, only fuel would be considered stock, wow , u guys need to confess to the crime u modified that stock car at 10,6 to 10.3,

You can adjust rpm on launch but i think you can also adjust how much traction control you want.. sounds like too much traction control on the launch feels like tires could take a little more! Fast for a "stock" car!!
