  • Hey everyone! I tried to actually write a solid outline for this video so I hope it flows a bit better and doesn't sound too scripted!
I'm seriously overwhelmed by the support that my previous video got, thank you thank you thank you!!!! I really want to pour as much as I can in to this channel, and I have a lot of ideas for the future.
Let me know what you guys thought of my rally tuning guide in the comments, and what you might like to see in the future!

I have to come back for this reply, seriously, with all my respect.
I just went through all your tuning guide this afternoon, came back home, and tuned my car. It looks like you just unlocked a new, or actually the real way, of playing Horizon 4 for me. My car became very predictable, controllable, and fun to drive. I could enjoy and focus on the track without any struggle.
Fantastic job mate. Thank you very much and have a happy new year.
I know its kinda sad staying at home playing video games on the new years eve.

Obviously the Pagani Zonda R is the best rally vehicle.
But in seriousness. I was looking for a car to do this week's coop championship in (Modern Muscle 900). Wanted to do a Challenger rally tune. This vid has helped a lot. Helped me turn a 1k horsepower Challenger into a manageable rally car lol. Your other tuning video for street racing also have helped me a ton. Never touched tuning in previous Forza games outside of final drive. Now you have me excited to learn more and to tune my cars.
Edit: Did the first series of the coop championship, was in first place by the second corner and nearly lapped last place. You've helped me create a monster...

Try the ZR-1 Corvette as well, insane 900PI rally car. Shoots past anything at the start line, and not much can keep up at turn 1 and 2 unless you get murderized.

I made the "General Lee" with these exact settings and also a solid monster. Lol. I did use the DSC engine since superchargers have a smoother power curve so once all is said and done, it's an s1 892 rally 1039hp 894tq 2984lb beast with a blower hood ;) lmao.

I did something similar. I made a '71 Cuda AWD swapped and tuned with alot of rear-bias in the diff (Only 10% power goes to the rear). In theory, this sounds like a nightmare, but I constantly have trouble gettting A Class AWD cars to oversteer on dirt so 90% Rear-drive bias was my solution xD

Maybe you could make an in depth series and piece out together parts of the process of tuning rally cars so you can really go in detail about why some aspects of the tuning are more important than other and how to manage them properly. Keep up the good work and know that you just got yourself a new fan and subscriber.

I barely know dirt crap when it comes to tuning cars. This taught me everything I needed to know without being too complicated and hard to follow. The Subaru tune is a *_godsend_* but I do have to tune the gear ratios depending on the track (a good balance between accel. and top speed). I'm gonna try my knowledge with the Cosworth I recently just got. Thank you!!!

I totally agree when you said tuning doesn't make a huge impact on lap times. A rally tune based on your guidelines did make the '73 Ford Escort 4 tenths faster than my own tune. So barely a difference at all but it did feel very different driving.

I just built a snot rocket Peugeot 205 and haven’t even tuned it and honestly it’s perfect. I can rip the handbrake and it’ll guide itself through the corner, it reacts to throttle really well and its gearing is really nice. I like my rally cars to be able to fly and be able to rip around corners. That’s pretty much all I need.

Hey Hoki, long time viewer here (god I loved your fh3 tune vids).
First of all, I want to thank u for continuing to make guides it means the world to me.
I have become quite confident with my tunes in both fh3 and fh4, thanks to you
If u don't mind I would like to request some help with a tune, I just can't seem to work.
I am really struggling to tune the 1986 #2 S1 Sport Quattro of S1 class
No matter what I do to the car it just outright refuses to brake (i have ABS disabled), feels very unresponsive and clumsy and also quite unstable when accelerating.
If you could give some advice I would love to hear it

Currently, I'm trying to create an all-around rally tune (not too worried with cross country) that can actually use the power the car gets in its class, while still being a stable and manageable.
I went ahead and tried to find an optimal tire pressure and for me, it is around 22-24 PSI for both front and rear
      Current issues with the car:
      - unbelievable amounts of lift-off oversteer, especially on tarmac
      - struggling to put power down on corner exits
      - suspension feeling way too soft, but when stiffened the car just get thrown around by every little bump
      - basically having no brakes (somehow)
      - lacking any kind of response to quick adjustments
      - "feeling way too heavy despite its low weight" (I know this one is a bit shit and can't be fixed I think)
also on a different note, when driving the car I also can't feel any weight transfer when going into a corner(apart from accelerating and the whole body wobbling around)
unlike any other rally car, I have tuned in fh4.
At the moment I am running the Pikes Peak Aero since it probably gives it the edge over the stock rally kit due to increased Aero. Also, I'm quite hesitant to use the fully upgraded turbo since it worsens the already horrible launch this thing gets (at least for manual with clutch but it can be fixed with a very long 1st gear). Like I said I basically tried out everything with the brakes and yet I'm still not happy at all with its braking performance.
Thans for your response and take care.

in the recording you can hear a distant and low volume echo of his voice

The really weird thing is it's not an echo. It comes ahead of him speaking. The louder voice is the echo.
I reckon it is most obvious around 9:36. Listen to what the "echo" says during his pauses.

I have the 2011 Subie Imprza LS swapped with a twin turbo set up and build up for rally, its amazing on every terrain I've taken it on so far, and hits 200 if ya give her enough room to run

ive had so much troble with rally tuning road tuning its really alot about the suspension and differential to control your car very well i just use an equation to have the car perfectly balanced and then minor tunes from there to fix the car if it is losing traction in the front under heavy steering or kicking out in the rear under tight slow cornering

dude, beautiful explanation of tuning rally cars, but i noticed a lot of sliding on corners. I know this is rally but for faster times and more wins, I'd wanna see how to straight bomb corners 💣 thanks for the in depth details on how to tune though
