What a great video! This is going to be super useful, I will definitely try implementing your tuning process next time I play! Also, are you planning on doing a rally technique video? It would be awesome to have some of your advice on that as well.
Some good practices here Conner! Great upload, I hope it helps people! And something to remember those who are newer to tuning, it can take a LONG time to master, so don't get discouraged and keep practicing and experimenting. What works for one person doesnt always work for the next! 👍
i prefer a slidy car with the ability to do the felt which is like a pendulum technique where u shift weight from one side of the car to another. its fun and a nice way to slide the car. gearing wise most of them i would use gear ratios from real life wrc cars
Do these tuning basics apply to FH3 as well? Just started FH3 and picked the Quattro as my starter car in Blizzard Mountain. Can I use this guide and effectively tune the Quattro even though it's not technically the same game?
Somewhat, yes. FH3 uses slightly different physics, and the cars handle better with soft suspension, and a good amount of body roll on the front. But yeah, make sure the heat on the tire is even through a corner, and not warmer on the outside of the tire by much if possible!
Damping is honestly a whole video in it of itself. Along with gearing, it's one of those things that you have to adjust to your style and the way you like the car to feel. This was something to help people with sort of the basics. It was far from a deep dive into tuning. But yes. Damping is important.
Hey man, I just wanted to say I think roll cages are pretty under rated in forza. The stiffness they add to the chassis let’s you tune to finer spec like running less camber to compensate for chassis flex. Also the 50-100 pounds it adds is abt really a big deal at all compared to how much better it will make a car handle bumps and hard cornering. Also usually it improves the cars weight balance. I almost always run some kind of roll cage , ESPECIALLY on high downforce track cars like the Aston Martin Vulcan
@@ConnerSpeed6 yeah, sometimes i wish there was a way to mark the cars u tune for online adventures and it only gives you those cars to pick from( im not sure that marking them as favorites is enough) but then again i have never been higher than rank 12, so it doesnt really matter that much 😊
Awesome video you should do a test to se if the forza tune pro app can make better tunes than you so it is like man vs machine /app and i will test your tip to se if i can be faster in forza horizon 4
I see alot of people say not use arb's on rally tunes. If I go about that, would it make it impossible to keep my outside tire from getting much warmer on heavy turns? I find even when they are 10 degrees on apart on straights, my outer tire is still climbing well past the inner on turns.
Yeah, that happens sometimes in the mud. As ling as the outside doesn't get more than a couple degrees higher you should be ok. As for ARB's, I put them on every build no matter the car 🤷♂️
@@ConnerSpeed6 I did. Unfortunately the cars are different. Many I’ve the components aren’t available to change/swap like they are with the 83. But I ended up doing some work.

Temperature to tune camber is a nice tip it's easier than reading angles on the other telemetry screen when you're on dirt.
Hell yeah it is! Glad it helps a bit 👍

DAmping is huge when tuning a rally car, the fact that you don't use it is a huge disadvantage.

I tend to run roll cages in all cars above A Class! I agree. They help a ton
How to use telemetry.
Go to controller settings
Go to advanced, cycle switch anna/telemetry/tts to telemetry
Save and exit
Hit down on d pad
Correct
Yes, the video is very useful and i will try to make my cars better, but when it comes time to go racing online, i will panic and pick the wrong car 🤣

Hey Conner I’m making a vid about this car I’m copying your tune are you ok with tune copied by your channel in the description or video?
Very cool! No worries at all. Hopefully the tune works out for you!

How to stop bumps throwing the car off track? Would that be to do with the bump stiffness?
It depends. Soften your springs, raise ride height a little, soften rear damping a little on front and back
@@ConnerSpeed6 the gets very unsettled going over pumps at speed so it throws it all off line
How did you make the design from the car
People make designs in the livery creator or forza "paint booth" in-game.
