    It’s young men like you that’s given me the gumption to do this. I’m loving it and and I climb everyday,thank you from a 59 year old life long hunter. This beats the old days of the Baker stands. Thanks again

      Ohh my goodness. I remember the Baker treestands. It was what kicked off the portable tree stand industry, but they were accidents waiting to happen. Lol

      seems simple just cut kydex, heat, mold and attach in some form...hitting the UA-cam videos now to find a good resource on the specifics....the Tethrd videos are good, just need some details on fastening to bow etc... I am a new to Kydex...

    Awesome video and demonstrations Ryan. I'm actually just getting into saddle hunting myself (this will be my first year) and have purchased 3 Shikar FXD 20" and a matched versa-aider from Back woods Mobile Gear so some additional height if needed. I opted to go for the Monster waist pack for the built-in frame, but we have a very similar set-up. I looked at the Hys strap also, but ultimately decided on the daisy chained am-steel gear hanger from Back Woods as well. I was really hoping you would be able to show how you fixed up your bow and quiver with the kydex attachments please? I love that idea of not having to have a hero clip or other sorts of clips on your hanger.

      I have a link in my description under Kydex Sheets. Simply cut the kydex to size, heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer, etc. to mold the kydex and it sets up in minutes. Greg from G2 has a good tutorial video on this for tips ua-cam.com/video/QeTMA3DWxcQ/v-deo.html

    Hi i am wondering how the predator xl platform handles side pressure using the versalink i have this setup from tethrd but not loving the strap that comes with the platform.

    • @Saddlehntr
      @Saddlehntr  3 роки тому +1

      Great question Randy, I saw a little wiggle with using the versalink. However with that said, the links are fixed so I don’t think it would get as tight as the strap. Im exploring the versalink option this off-season and will look to do a review on the strap offerings from tethrd soon

    i really like this set up but i always giggle, over 2000 dollars of gear for maybe 500 dollars in meat, thatll probably be replaced in four years for the new hotness by many. no hate, just reflecting the experience can definitely be priceless. definitely have a bit of money in my set up as well as my garden, gotta pay to play.

    • @Saddlehntr
      @Saddlehntr  3 роки тому

      100% agree, there’s definitely a balance getting started with saddle hunting and upfront costs like most new hobbies. It’s takes time to acquire all of the immediate needs. Saddle forums and market place are great resources to grab a few things second hand that are in fairly great shape!
