The Fix Review by Lone Wolf Custom Gear
Where do you get the bow hanger?
Love the idea!! What connectors are you using to hook together the bottom of your Sherman kit to the bottom of the medium pack attached? And cinch straps from Kifaru? Thanks!!
@@christophertomberlin you can zip tie them if you want a quick fix or what I use is a webbing connection clip. a.co/d/0gys3Ccq
Switch out that carabiner for a gear tie. 👍🏼
Hi Ryan, is your website working? We tried to contact you but can't access your website. Thank you
Best over strap video thank you
What’s your preference?
It’s situational, but with that said I’ve sold my .75 and 1.0. I’ve been hunting hybrid with the .5 but if I were to exclusively stand hunt I probably would have kept the .75.
@@Saddlehntr gotcha I have the original 1.0 and the 2.0 with a 22 inch post which I love I’m thinking about getting the 1.0 again the new generation so that I have more tiedown straps and integrates better, running the 20inch doubles
The Sherman pocket also accepts the X-ray shoulder straps. I saw someone sell a custom Sherman Pocket. But for less than 10 pounds the regular straps work fine.
Thinking on buying this for my old man. He still loves to hunt but the older climbers are a little heavy for him. Can’t believe you guys are charging $1k for that. If it weren’t for my dad I would not buy. I’d stick to saddle at that price with the full set up, saddle, sticks, and everything for that price
Thanks for the review
Appreciate that, thanks for tuning in Ben!
That's pretty slick man. I might try this!
I use a similar setup for early season. But instead of a Sherman I use Kifaru hydro harness and a large pocket on that. Sweet setup
I would have NEVER thought to rock my Sherman like a hip quiver - BRILLIANT! 👏🏼
It’s Shermazing!
Dude thats slick as seal shit
I ain’t never seen that poop before!
I run a sherman on my shape charge and i absolutely love it! I like the idea of the medium bag attached to the sherman. Think ill give that a try, good idea.
Just found a Sherman used on fb for $50! Score and I can’t wait to try it out early season for sure like you are rocking it. Thanks for the video
Solid! You’re already on it man!
This is a great idea!!! Thanks
Glad you like it!
Think I’ll wait on the new 2lb one from tethrd
This guy must be crazy for $1g 😂
looks like the carbon teeth dont actually bite they just slide up and down whenever you switch sides. the predator with teeth doesnt slide like that? im going with the arsenal razr i think. good review
Thank you, ya the teeth aren’t chamfered to bite. It’s really the camming action that locks it in place. In bigger trees, the platform slides
@@Saddlehntr Razr it is. thanks do you like the razr better?
@@Stykbow it’s pricey but I’d hold off, they are getting ready to drop their RZR 2.0 any day.
Any other company that makes stands is just trying to be like LWCG. Nothing better than
2.0 All day sits
Nice review These are things I was thinking I have a lot tether gear but I’ll probably stick with the original predator
$1000, WTF is it made of gold?
That’s slick
I’m just a guy that like to get in between limbs. I like cover. So climbers are out for me. Lock on and saddles
No way I would spend $1000.00 to upgrade for a climber when legacy Lone wolf climbers work great.
$1000????? What were they thinking pricing it that high? HARD PASS!!
I think 1.0 is the way to go for me for all season. Cold weather with thicker layer means bigger platform
For a few ounces more it totally makes sense to jump into the 1.0
Hunting is once again becoming a rich man’s sport.
I think I’ll stick to my assault climber
What kind of camera are you using?
Hey Reed, I flex with a couple different cameras during season. My primary is a Sony A6600. The one in this video is a Sony DSC - HX99
I’m looking to start filming mainly just for shot placement. Would you recommend the hx99 for starting out?
@@reedhayes4854 I would not, it shoots in 5:00 min increments and doesn’t have an external mic jack. I would look into smaller camcorders that shoot in 4K.
What an absolute piece of garbage! “it sorta sounds like a tree branch” come on man whatever happened to a stand being SILENT. My 25 yo LW Assault doesn’t make a sound.
I'm between the .75 or the 1.0. do you have a preference?
It’s situational, they’re both great. If I’m doing all day sits the 1.0 is more practical. It also depends on your body type and size. Some guys might value the slim profile of the .75 for walking in. Others value the 1.0 for more comfort. The platforms are 4oz difference meaning they are essentially the same for weight. If you’re a smaller guy, the .75 makes more sense. What do you value more?
I think I'm gonna get a 1.0 Great video, I use a saddle currently so I might wait until I can get one on sale next year
Great review, very fair. I am sure they will be happy to get the feedback and gen 2 should be even better. Personally, I am anxiously waiting for them to come out with a One-Stick platform.
To much 4 me
Brother just use a pack 😂
It’s a new trend, just carry everything in your hands and pockets. 😂
Mine has a defect in it but I love it so far waiting to hear back from teathered
Curious, mine does as well. Appears to be a chunk missing from the internal side wall cut outs in the platform.
I still haven’t heard nothing from teathered
I wouldn’t hold your breath based on the history of the company.
I got in touch they overnighted me a new platform with a return label for the old one I’m very pleased with their customer service
Load
How did you attach the sticks to the platform?
Titan strap that comes with the sticks, just fed it through the platform and post to lock it all in
Sooooo noisy
I love my .75 and have been looking at the .5 but it looks like it’s really only a 1lb or so difference
Used the XL for 80+ sits this year (I work for Tethrd) in all weather conditions from 10 degrees to 90. You for sure have to rough up the teeth to keep it from popping on super hard bark trees. I tried to break mine. I put it through the ringer with no issues. This is real carbon fiber with an actual layup, not a carbon composite. I do find it a bit strange the noise yours made when you first got on it, I haven’t experienced that with the ones I have used. I feel like it flexes a good bit less than the aluminum version
The ninja! Thanks for the feedback, I spoke with Ernie and he mentioned 60 grit so I’ll have to try that out. The amount of carbon dust around the CNC cuts dang near made this thing scent free, haha. My flex comparison was interesting, it definitely looks like it can hold up to the 300 lb weight rating.
Why doesn’t Tethrd do it before they send it out? Never trust someone who works for Tethrd.
@@Brian-R It was my understanding that they were before shipped. But it’s just a part of regular maintenance, I do it on the aluminum version as well from time to time
Best review on these stands I’ve seen nice job
Thanks Craig, so which one are you getting!? 😂
Is it that loud or do you have your mic turned up to a million?
No foul play, the audio you hear is never adjusted so it’s that loud.
As always, amazing review. I'll stick with my LWCG Fix.
Appreciate that, thanks man!
20ft up don’t want to rely on a creaking piece of plastic… f that
Hunting from the ground is free
Say it louder! 🤘
Great review!!!
Thank you
Great honest review.
Appreciate that, thank you
Great review. I appreciate the honesty without bashing the whole company.
Thank you, it’s definitely not an easy thing to do. I think people can get lost in the product vs the company often relating the two. Tethrd is a great company and produce some awesome saddle hunting gear! The CFX just needs a little work.
