Great message! Shelly, I can feel your passion for your work. Mental health is in need of an upgrade across the globe. How wonderful that you teaching and leading the next generation of mental health professionals. Your message to never give up is inspiring. It's easy to give up when you don't see the results of your efforts, but with Joe, I bet the person who smiled at him that day will never know his impact. Thanks for the reminder...

Never thought a educational Tedex talk could wet my eyes, the way she said ‘Never ignore’, touched me deeply (being a person who usually ignores eye contact to new people). Thank you 🙏
Was here to learn about mirror neurons for my BCST study

I was learning about mirror neurons in my psychology class and decided to do some research. I found this video and all I can say is... WOW...its incredible how an 8:59 minute video can make an impact in a persons life. Thank you for this message.

In Islam, a smile is a good deed, it is considered a form of charity to smile in people's faces sincerely, and one of the best characteristics of Prophet Muhammad PBUH is that he had a smiling face all the time brought peace to people's hearts. This connection is important because, in terms of science, religion wins most of the time.

What about when you smile and try to make eye contact and some people either try to ignore you (look away) or they glare lol?

*I never did anything bad. It is not my fault that I wasn’t aware of specifics within the nature of reality like other people are. If y’all had empathy, y’all would’ve known that from the get-go.*

So wearing masks makes it difficult to connect over a smile, which anyway is signaling we are no threat.
have we heard sociologist in the media or advising governments ?

She gets the idea right but doesn't really understand about mirror neurons and emotion. She didn't even mention the connection of the amygdala
