Square Body Chevy Dually AC R134a Retrofit - Close but No Good!

Ive owned this 1989 R3500 Chevrolet Square Body Dually for 24 years, and while it came with AC, it never worked. I cant go without AC anymore. However, I've lost or scrapped most of the components so Im slowly replacing them. Now that I have everything assembled it needs to be recharged. What do you think happens?

Hey Neighbor! Good to see you again. AC?…what’s that? I’m still sporting around in my ‘99 GMC without it. A mechanic friend I’ve known for a million years told me three years ago it’d cost about $2k for HIM to do it as a favor to me THEN to replace my complete system…EVERYthing was kaput. Hey well that was an educational experience. Cost of 134a in your area is expensive, around my area those cans are under $10. Good luck with your quest of finding parts that are doable!
