    Hard to believe this was 30 years ago….the intro music was so cool…everything felt better back then….we didn’t have to worry about seeing Taylor Swift in box seats or listen to commentary that walks in egg shells and has to be very careful what they say…I’m so glad I was born in 73

    I was there. Season ticket holder Sec D Row 14 Seat 2 out in the bleachers at the Atlanta 45 or so. Have the ticket mounted with a Favre autographed photo depicting the dive from the NE corner of the upper deck. It was insanely loud and absolute pandemonium when he scored. Our entire section toppled like dominoes because everyone was jumping up and down on the bleachers and someone fell forward, lol!!! Most exhilarating moment in sport I ever witnessed. Last County Stadium game, truly a historic and memorable way to end it.

    • @johnperrigo6474

      That's pretty funny! I sat in those bleachers for many Brewers games over the year, although they were probably rarely packed in so tight as they would be for a Packers game. I can just imagine the domino effect.

    Man I grew up in Milwaukee. I was lucky enough to see the Robin Yount's 3,000 hit. Myself and two buddies had upper box seats for the game prior to the 3000th hit. He didn't get it that night. After his last at bat we RAN to the ticket window AND somehow we got reg. Mezzanine seats. The most expensive were Deluxe Mezz. but those were never available. They were pricey, but we got 3 and sure enough CRACK he did it.
    Sorry off topic. My point was growing up I was lucky to see so many iconic games at County Stadium. Hell ai even got to see PINK FLOYD at County Stadium. It was AMAZING. As for Packers games, my Dad, my Grandfather, and I went to my first game against the Lions.
    9-21-75 we lost 30-16. That started it all. I went to 10 or so more games. It wasn't a good football stadium. It actually kinda sucked...lol. But I some so many amazing memories there. From Brewers autographs, great games, Packers games, a Wrestling event, Pink Floyd. County Stadium is a great place for me. I miss the old place.

      @markmelchior726 6 років тому +4

      For many years until 1994 the Packers played part of their home schedule in Milwaukee to be able to financially stay alive. By 1994, they played three games in Milwaukee per season, but by this time, the Packers were actually losing money by playing part of the schedule there, so, beginning in 1995, the Packers played their entire schedule in Green Bay. The Packers have maintained the Milwaukee season ticket package to this day.

    • @SCRANE1115
      @SCRANE1115 6 років тому +4

      Essentially, the Packers, in order to preserve the franchise with needed ticket revenue during the depression, used the larger attendance of Milwaukee games. They scheduled home games from 1933 - 1994. Their first hosting of an NFL Championship, the 1939 game vs the NY Giants, was also played in Milwaukee (State Fair Park). The 1957 NFL requested the Packers to move permanently to Milwaukee County Stadium because of the inadequate old City Stadium in Green Bay. The Packers chose to build a new stadium (today's Lambeau Field). The pre merger AFL attempted to locate a franchise in Milwaukee for 1968 but Packer GM and Head Coach Lombardi refused to share a lease of County Stadium. Lombardi submitted to team sponsors and scheduled a Packer home playoff game at County Stadium versus the LA Rams in December 1967. Milwaukee's loyalty to the Packers was assured and the Packer Organization reciprocated and played in Milwaukee til nearly the mid 1990's. The Packers all time record at County Stadium was an impressive 76-47-3.
