Thanks for this. I remember that game like it was yesterday . I remember feeling the loss of Don was a common thing at that point but watched him getting hurt destroy this team the year previous and it seemed to have the same feeling in the stadium that day. Brett was not good most of the game. He fumbled more than anyone ever in a game that day. He looked completely lost right up and until he did not. Suddenly the pass rush he was being destroyed by was getting rolled out of and he was throwing passes we had not seen in Green Bay EVER. The arm was shown on a few laser throws and we started to see it . Then the last 1 minute we saw who Brett was and we also saw that the bad times were over all in one game. WE had something worth watching for the first times in our lives. The Packers had a QB who could change things now. I was young but I remember it all and it is this moment that made me who I am . I am in love with football ever since . Brett was behind all of my greatest football moments then Aaron came and added to my list on another level still . Now we have Jordan and after 2023 the feeling is just like it was when Brett took it over for this franchise. IT ALL STARTED HERE ! 1992 was when the modern Packers were birthed into the world and we have won more games than any franchise ever since this moment.
The way Brett reacted when they scored that touchdown to put them up....priceless. You'd think he just won the Super Bowl. The crowd absolutely EXPLODED and a legend was born :)
I was there at Lambeau on that glorious afternoon... as a Packer fan it was like wandering lost in the forest for all those years and then seeing a bright burst of daylight in the near distance -- I cannot truly put the emotions of that day into words, it was absolutely electrifying
I wasn’t born until the next year but going back and seeing the footage I could feel how emotional and groundbreaking this game was to the pack. Seeing Favre later get the Super Bowl win is a pinnacle in my childhood.
Say no more my friend…we get it!! What a great moment!!! The memory must be just a glorious feeling of sweet joy and exuberance and communal pride we shared and share being Packers fans!!! I love watching this game from time to time. It is interesting the despair and sadness felt for our guy Majic, but then to witness the backup go balls out and crush it like Favre….amazing!!!
We were all there . Even if we were watching at home. That day Packers nation was reborn and even away we all found ourselves again and for many of us our hearts have never left Lambeau field ever since. I was eating dinner with my parents at my childhood home but when Brett hit Taylor there you could smell the spilled beer and the hotdogs right there in my parents kitchen as most of the Packers fans did as well at that time. This was our first breath of winning again . in 89' we almost believed . In 92' We all believed again and it was glorious . Thanks for being there though . I bet it was the best moment to be a fan in stadium since the 1960s. Watching the Packers reborn in live action would have been spiritual . GO PACKERS !
@@wce05308 Welcome to the TITLETOWN fold! We are TITLETOWN because we own 13 NFL Championship titles, more than any other team in the NFL. I hope you have seen the Ice Bowl, Packers playing on solid ice at 16F below zero, and winning that game, insane. I lived in northern Wisconsin for 65 years, and know what a week of minus 42F is like, with one morning at -54F. Minus 20 not all that unusual, and is ok, but after that it can be dangerous, sometimes deadly. I'm thinking that is well over a 100 degree difference than what you are accustomed to. Many places here have an annual Polar Bear Plunge, when the temp is about zero, we cut a hole in the ice of out 10,000+ lakes and jump in wearing nothing but a swimsuit. We call it fun. Let me know if you'd like to try some our winter fun sometime. Skiing on Silver Mine Hill is fun too. You've chosen the best!
Favre was a legend in his first game. Best part is he was also the holder for the PAT and field goal attempts, and he took his hand entirely off the ball on that last PAT. Favre was a crazy gunslinger but damn was he good.
The birth of a legend...I remember that game like it was yesterday.... "" And Green Bay has the look of a winner with the red hot GUNSLINGER Brett Favre...!!!! ""... Jim Lampley he may have been the first one to call him that...
And so it began....... The man, the myth, the LEGEND!! Damn he had a lot of fun doing it. The return to the Super Bowl began when we got this crazy kid from Atlanta. Thank you for this video. Seeing him running like a little kid was a GREAT MEMORY.
Ya this is the game when Ron Wolf’s brilliancy on how build championship teams was noticed or stamped on another team . Ron Wolf Thank You for those awesome years .
My brother used to do that all the time. He’d leave at the beginning of the fourth quarter and be so proud that he beat everyone out of the parking lot. I’m like why don’t you just stay home and you’ll be the first one home...🤷♂️
I remember this game I was watching this game this is the very first time I had ever seen Brett Farb I didn’t know who he was but by the end of this game I was a fan I love the way he threw the ball I mean he turned his whole body and he would just throw his heart is he good. And then what I really loved was at the end of the game him running around the field like a little kid just like we used to do when we were playing football in the fields at school he was fun to watch
I was 16, living in Wisconsin. Every Sunday I worked at a grocery store until 2:30 and I remember listening to the end of this game on the radio as I drove home. Hmm maybe this Favre guy will be OK 😂. When you got it you got it.
I’m suddenly 11 again in the living room watching this game with my mom (RIP mom) and saying who’s Brett Favray? Little did I know then #4 would become one of the greatest qb’s and Packers in history:)
Odd Take: The Sharpe brothers could have been the greatest pair of siblings ever to play in the NFL alongside the Manning brothers had Sterling's career not been so short-lived.
When Shannon was inducted into the HOF, in his speech he said, he’s the only player inducted who’s not the best player in his family. If Sterling didn’t get injured, Montana to Rice records would all be Favre to Sharpe records.
This was my first Packers game at 11 years old. My dad and I got skybox tickets for $35 total 5 minutes after kickoff and this is where I fell in love with the Packers.
And after 46 turnovers between these teams, the Packers win. I live in Milwaukee, I was 14 when this games was played. I remember it well, I hated Favre coming in... little did I know it was the birth of a legend
Amazing catch!!!!! At first I thought you meant the guy behind Holmgren with the headset, but then I saw who you’re actually talking about. Gruden looks like a teenager there!!
So sad to see Majik go down. Glad he had a resurgance with the Colts later. What a sloppy game by both teams! Missed field goals, turnovers left & right... ugly. So cool to see some of the players from yesteryear -- Boomer, Sharpe, Cecil, even Harry Sydney caught a pass! Ed West, man, so many great memories.
1:42 great... this Fay-vruh guy is coming in... His career so far 1-5 -6 yards An interception for a TD One catch, -6 yards Yes, his only completion was to himself The Falcons fleeced the Packers with that trade So... how many seasons until Holmgren is run out of town? Three? And such a shame too. Had a promising career in SF as the offensive coordinator with Montana & Young
Don majkowski got hurt and Brett Favre took over Brett Favre got hurt and Aaron Rodgers took over Aaron Rodgers got hurt and Jordan love took over Great minds think alike

DeadlyDanDaMan
I love it, but if he did that today, there would be a penalty for taking off his helmet. lol
I was at that game with my bro-in-law. The Pack was struggling. Never expected that kind of a result. What a day!
I was there at Lambeau on that glorious afternoon... as a Packer fan it was like wandering lost in the forest for all those years and then seeing a bright burst of daylight in the near distance -- I cannot truly put the emotions of that day into words, it was absolutely electrifying
Same.Probably one of the most memorable games I ever attneded

Played the next 200+ games like his first.......Reckless, and exciting. Brett was fun to watch.
Nowhere near the best Quarterback but for sure the most fun to watch.
I'm an Aussie new to the NFL and I picked Green Bay as my team. Love watching these old clips thanks for the uploads 👍
Welcome to the frozen tundra.
@@1baby12bear thanks mate all the way from Perth, Western Australia. Go Pack Go!
Good on ya mate!
Merica's team since 1919 🇺🇸
@@scout805 I picked them coz I like how it's basically owned by the people of Green Bay. And green and gold are Australia's colours 👍

In reality, this wasn’t his first game. He played a season in Atlanta before this. His first career pass down there was a completion, TO HIMSELF! 😂
@Mr.Brenman21 It wasn’t his first start.
He came in due to an injury to the Majik Man.
I was 10 years old and this was the 1st packers game I ever went to... I'll never forget it... Still love Favre....

The legend began here, watching history in the making like this is amazing.
My uncle left this game early to beat traffic out of the stadium. Never lives it down.
My brother used to do that all the time. He’d leave at the beginning of the fourth quarter and be so proud that he beat everyone out of the parking lot. I’m like why don’t you just stay home and you’ll be the first one home...🤷♂️
That’s the way my Dad was, it’s that Generation of No Patients. I haven’t talked to him in years.
Green Bay was changed forever.
I was 12 years old and this was the first packer game my dad took me to.. this is the first time I watched the video of it. Great.
I was there sitting in the south end zone . When the ball was snapped everyone knew it was going to a TD! And the place went absolutely wild !
The start of a 30 yr run of stellar QB play the NFL had never seen before and with Love the tradition looks to be in good hands. Quite the run.
I remember this game I was watching this game this is the very first time I had ever seen Brett Farb I didn’t know who he was but by the end of this game I was a fan I love the way he threw the ball I mean he turned his whole body and he would just throw his heart is he good. The best game ever! Brought me back to my early 20s watching my old man!
1:29 A franchise that had been in turmoil for 25 years was about to get a huge shot in the arm!
That sack saved the franchise.
As sad as it is, you're right.
Meanwhile another franchise who was pretty good in the 1980s was about to bungle it up
Gotta love the Favre Rocket Balls.
He could break receiver's fingers.
Favre threw his whole back into those throws haha
A legend was born. He played 297 consecutive regular season games. He’s the Iron Man of the NFL.
Interesting namedrop at the beginning: Milt Stegall, future CFL legend
Awesome bro. These videos are much appreciated!!
I AGREE with you 1,000% because this was when football was football. The NFL is now CRAP & isn't worth watching anymore. LOVE YOUR COMMENT.
And from this game I was a Packers fan 4 life!!
I was 16, living in Wisconsin. Every Sunday I worked at a grocery store until 2:30 and I remember listening to the end of this game on the radio as I drove home. Hmm maybe this Favre guy will be OK 😂. When you got it you got it.
The start of Favre’s career and the peak of Terrell Buckley’s
"Hey Mississippi, the only way you get to play is if 2 plane crashes and 4 quarterbacks go down" Jerry Glanville
I’m suddenly 11 again in the living room watching this game with my mom (RIP mom) and saying who’s Brett Favray? Little did I know then #4 would become one of the greatest qb’s and Packers in history:)
What an atrocious o line. It's a miracle Majkowski made it out alive
Tim Krumrie did his home state proud when he got Favre into the game!
These old games had a charm to them
Odd Take: The Sharpe brothers could have been the greatest pair of siblings ever to play in the NFL alongside the Manning brothers had Sterling's career not been so short-lived.
Stirling was a beast. He was right there with Rice and Moss.
What a bumbling mess of fumbles, interceptions, and missed field goals but, to Favre it was the beginning of an amazing run!
He never looked back. I felt bad for Majik and it took some time to warm up to Brett because he was so wild but, he was fun to watch!
The Beginning of Greatness!
A Legend was born
And after 46 turnovers between these teams, the Packers win. I live in Milwaukee, I was 14 when this games was played. I remember it well, I hated Favre coming in... little did I know it was the birth of a legend
Lol imagine if that bounced back to number 42 at the end.
Ben Dvorak every time I watch this game I think the exact same thing lol
Man he was a stud from the get go.
The start of something great
Wow, I was only a month old when this game was played!
My dad says this is the first game I watched! I was about a year old at the time and sitting in his lap lol
That ball had some speed when Favre through. Even watching this the camera guy had a delay triying to follow the ball when Favre threw it lol.
I recognized so very few of the players names
Favre got down to get that fumble with 3 DT charging at him. Newton couldn’t do it in the super bowl
My Dad was at this game. When he came home he said he knew we had finally found a franchise quarterback.
We are 12:21 in our 7th week with Jordan love I, I sure do miss the good old days.😂
I laughed out loud when they made the comment about "hopeful he can succeed in the NFL". Oh, you have no idea...
I was there. My first NFL game.
Those days when Favre loves to play just for play.
It's rumored that Brett was yelling "F You Jerry Glanville" after that last TD throw.
Great game
Ending is only begining for Favre. Some announcers could not say his name. Took 30 years for Packers to return to Super Bowl. Go Packers!
9:31 Jon Gruden!
Phillip Weber “Mike, I think we should be throwing to the fullback in this situation”
Amazing catch!!!!! At first I thought you meant the guy behind Holmgren with the headset, but then I saw who you’re actually talking about. Gruden looks like a teenager there!!

The Packers were reborn that day.
I love the, "Green Bay is hopeful Farve will succeed in the NFL". LMAO
Ahmad Rashad: "The worst thing that could ever happen to him is if he got hurt."
No, really?
Lmao!!
Here is the injury and Favre's Packers legacy starts: 1:12!
Jim Lampley on Brett Favre: “They are hopeful he can succeed in the NFL.”
magic man got his twig snapped
11:06 Exact same as when he made his 1st touch down in the Super Bowl. 😂
Lol Brett lost his holding job that day
Tim Krumrie knows what a broken leg feels like
Oh sh!t I forgot all about the vaccinator!!! lol Terrell buckley god d@mn lol hahaha
1:42
great... this Fay-vruh guy is coming in...
His career so far
1-5
-6 yards
An interception for a TD
One catch, -6 yards
Yes, his only completion was to himself
The Falcons fleeced the Packers with that trade
So... how many seasons until Holmgren is run out of town? Three? And such a shame too. Had a promising career in SF as the offensive coordinator with Montana & Young
The announcer didn’t like favre… “here is Favre a 2nd year QB that costed them a first round pick”
Funny how they didn't even mention favre's name when they won. If they had only known . . .
Favre's 1st completion was to himself on a batted ball
Let’s be real Don Makowski was Green Bay
What the hell was Cincinnati calling? I mean Favre marched right down the middle of the field..
They probably played prevent
I love this channel. And Brett. But who doesnt love their dad??
Why would you accept that penalty on the false start? Am I missing something?
Steve Loring because the play is dead.
that first quarter was a complete disaster by both teams.
Harold Green...
Packers steelers 09?
Wheres his "first completion"
That was in atlanta. This wasnt his first game
I love "Brett Favre, cost the packers a 1st round pick... They hold he's successful in the NFL"
I'd say he was successful! Haha.
Don majkowski got hurt and Brett Favre took over
Brett Favre got hurt and Aaron Rodgers took over
Aaron Rodgers got hurt and Jordan love took over
Great minds think alike
were announcers really that goofy only a few years ago?
Man, Atlanta fucked up.
🐱 attack in the rat trap.🐀👀🌴🏈✈🆘
Terrell Buckley the vaccinater, givin y'all a shot!!!
Imagine if San Jay Beech would have caught the winning pass ? " Look at that Sunjay beech run " !
Boomer could sling it.
Boy the packers were ugly back then.
Packers can be 0-16 and still sell out
Worst tackling ive ever seen 4:30
All arms.
Ok boomer
