You're doing god's work man. I live in Paris and I've tried to confront these guys before but they gang up on you so quick and it's honestly really intimidating. I saw a Peruvian man traveling for the first time in his life bet $100 and lost, he was destroyed emotionally afterwards, they tried to get him to go to an ATM to "win back" his money so I told him in Spanish it's a scam and 4 of them came around me and pushed me away. Luckily he got the message and walked away but they were furious and followed me almost all the way home. They need to send undercover cops like you are here to arrest all these scammers it's such a bad look for Paris and literally ruins hundreds of tourist's experience every day. as much as i hate such cavemen, you have to understand that less than 1% of entire world's population are related to governments and even less have direct power, such as police officers.
you can't expect some police dispatch to leave the desk and try and sort out a situation without any gear or field training.
what i'm getting at, is that they simply don't have enough manpower to deal with this. if police has to choose between dealing with some nasty cavemen who just intimate and "steal" from willing participants or some shooting or stabbing case, they will choose to deal with whichever is the worst case.
if all of you who talk here, would want to change something ... go there and live stream. be a tag team, make a community, come together and organize it.
host a forum specifically focused on this, have people there live streaming 24/7. hence the term "tag team". even with 100 people you'd be able to have at least 2-3 people there all the time, live streaming.
make youtube channel, make a stream key and share it with others, so everyone can stream to same channel with multiple cameras.
leaving comments and expecting police to deal with it, is useless. if you want to see action, then you need to make it happen yourselves.
how you fight darkness? you shine light on them! light being live streaming, i'd like to see those roaches attack someone while they know they are being live streamed.

I was so scared and when i took it out, they asked for more up to 150 and even tried to use their hands and take the money out from my wallet. Asked for more again but I left 20-30 euros and I said i wouldn't be able to go home if i gave them all. In the end, obviously, it was a scam and I balled my eyes out immediately after. As to the real luxury brands sold in stores, nobody cheats you. You know what you are paying for. If you don't like it, you don't buy it. They aren't lying to you about what they sell, so how is this a scam? It's simple market - supply and demand. Also, I seriously doubt the store selling a real luxury brand got it for a few tens of dollars, their margins are far smaller than you think. As a retired Romanian police officer I can tell you this:
    1. In Romania at the last census (2021) there are around 3.4% rroma. Maybe a little more. They represent more than 20% of the inmates in Romanian Prisons. This is really bothering!
    2. When that gipsy said: "go to your country!" it is very possible he wasn't wrong. Rroma are nomadic. Some are born in Turkey, some in Bulgaria, some in Romania, some in Serbia or Hungary. It is possible he was born in France and he is French citizen.
    3. Rroma don't have what we call "national roots". They do not consider themselves as Bulgarian or Romanian other than if this can bring them some advantages.
    4. I know a gipsy family where the father was born in Romania, he married in Hungary with a local woman and their children are 2 German, 1 French and 2 UK citizens. The migration path the family. What are they? Romanians? Maybe British because those two are the majority in the family.😁
    5. It is possible in the group to be no-rroma persons. That's why they are using Romanian language and not the Rroma language. 😁 In Romania they tend to use rroma language or Hungarian language because, of course, many Romanians know Romanian language. 😁
    6. Many scammers left Romania because they follow the money. To be fair there are years when I saw last time this scamming game in Romania. It was popular in the '90s but I think now nobody can be scammed with this trick in Romania.
    7. Having them out from that spot it is not easy, it is just a matter of law enforcement. They will just move to another place for a while. I doubt that there are no "zones of action" already split between the gangs. Being in that spot means they are powerful and well organised.

      Interesting question!
This is their way of life.
      Funny fact!
When România applied for EU membership we were inspected by EU politicians. We had a meeting with Mrs. Baroness Nicholson from UK (it was before Brexit).
She told us that we are stupid because we don't send gypsies to schools, that we do not give them jobs and so on.
We told her: we can send a few thousand to the UK and please show us the "smart" way to deal with them!
😂 Look what happened in Leeds (UK) in July this year!!!!
      Back to the question!
It depends how dangerous you consider this activity and how much money you want to spend to have them out of that place!
And also consider this: they will not go to work! How will they provide for their families?
      I really don't know!
Gipsies came in Europe from Northern India one thousand years ago. No country was able to integrate them successfully in these 1.000 years. Do you think we will solve the problem today?
Romania sent to France a number of police officers (some of them with gypsy origin) to help the French Police.
