Holyfield is a great man and had a great career. I can understand Tyson's frustration as he was repeatedly head butted by Holyfield. Holyfield was a winner. I would have loved to hear about the headbutting vs Mike Tyson. Clearly Mike was pissed off in the second fight because of the headbutts in the first fight and how his right eye was cut from a headbutt right off the bat in the second fight. It seemed like Mike only bit Holyfield's ear because he wanted him to be afraid to keep headbutting him. I feel like Holyfield was not intentionally headbutting Mike a lot of the times that it happened, it was just the way their bodies were colliding, but it would have been interesting to hear Holyfield's take on it.
as a mike tyson fan i always said holyfield started it when he head butted tyson. head butts are sometimes intentional cause if done right over the eyes blood will flow into the eye or eyes. tyson knew h'ed be at a disadvantage through the fight so he put a stop to it by biting his ear off. but finally listening to holyfield talk, i have to watch that fight over again. like rogan says he's got great character and forgiving mike shows it. they're both great fighters and human beings. to me it's a privilege being around in that era.

ALSO coming from an impoverished background with EIGHT other siblings, what other options did Evander have? I would have loved to hear about the headbutting vs Mike Tyson. Clearly Mike was pissed off in the second fight because of the headbutts in the first fight and how his right eye was cut from a headbutt right off the bat in the second fight. It seemed like Mike only bit Holyfield's ear because he wanted him to be afraid to keep headbutting him. I feel like Holyfield was not intentionally headbutting Mike a lot of the times that it happened, it was just the way their bodies were colliding, but it would have been interesting to hear Holyfield's take on it.

as a mike tyson fan i always said holyfield started it when he head butted tyson. head butts are sometimes intentional cause if done right over the eyes blood will flow into the eye or eyes. tyson knew h'ed be at a disadvantage through the fight so he put a stop to it by biting his ear off. but finally listening to holyfield talk, i have to watch that fight over again. like rogan says he's got great character and forgiving mike shows it. they're both great fighters and human beings. to me it's a privilege being around in that era.
