SAKURA

'Sakura', or 'Cherry Blossom', is a traditional Japanese folk song describing the arrival of spring and the blossoming of cherry flowers. This arrangement by Ko Matsushita commissioned for the “Sing for Japan” restoration project pays tribute to the lives lost in the 2011 Tohoku earthquake as a call for remembrance and solidarity with victims and their families.
