SENANDUNG DEWATA

'Senandung Dewata', or 'The God’s Singing', brings together elements of Balinese culture and nature: air, earth, fire, and water. Beginning on a calm note mimicking morning dew, the song’s tension slowly builds up in a joyful rhythm of human life until its climax which mixes minor harmonies and body percussion before returning back to a state of calm. The piece is then closed with a duet resembling the supernatural, calling for all the elements’ unification.
