You've all been asking for it and here it is! My first (and second) attempt at a 400m for time. Time is as accurate as possible but I wanted to give you guys my official unofficial time! What do you want to see me attempt next?! Shoutout to Alex for up and running this with me in the middle of his own training for the east coast championships. No matter where you are in your run journey, how fast, how slow, how much distance you can cover.. keep up the great work! I'm proud of you. Let's get it! Let's go!

Really? I have thought about it also but i think it will be hard to find food that are vegan. How did you do?

    • @moisessena1307

@@NasirAhmed-jr9mu yes! It is hard if you keep your mind 'industrialized'. Vegan processed food is expansive, thats why ppl dont even try. What I can tell from my experience is that you should look for plants, fruits, nuts, seeds and etc. But you should start slowly with one vegan meat per day and then you increase...

Great advice from Moisés. It can be a challenge but it is doable. Some people do it overnight and some people can afford to use vegan junk food until they learn more home cooked vegan recipes but if you transition more steadily and use a lot of veg, fruit and especially lots of legumes (mixed beans, peas, kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas) then you can do very well. 35 years omni, 11 months vegan, I haven't looked back 🙂🌱

@@moisessena1307 you really need foods with the full amino acid complex. Veganism probably is not the best thing to do in the long run.

Well done mate! I was keen to see how fast your 400m is because it’s one of my events. Don’t worry, even the best in the world start from the wrong line sometimes too (look up Noah Lyles “breaking” the world record in the 200m).
I’d love to see you take on an 800m, which is my main event. I predict you could probably do a 2:04 if you paced it perfectly.
You have hellah endurance, and as we’ve just seen you’ve got some speed, and the 800m is the perfect intersection of speed and endurance.

I started running track and the 400m this year and I feel like it’s what I was built to do, my first time trail i ran a 60 and my first official race I ran 58.7 or something like that, but I made it to sectionals at the end of the year and ran a 53.6 in the open 400 and 52 in the 4x4, I’m gonna be a senior next year and I’ve been training hard to hopefully break sub 50 and maybe even the school record (48.7)

Go out as fast as you can the first 50m you will be using a different energy system, if you can split 26-27 for the first 200m than your can 29 the next 200m and still get to a 55-56 second 400m.

Anything under 60 is great for someone who hasn't properly trained for this.
The first 200 is easy as you come off the last turn is when it hits you.
Fourty years ago in college I could run a very good 400.
Today I wouldn't even attempt it.
