cannot believe I've been watching your videos since you were in high school and now you're a junior in college!! ahh! also i love this video, been trying to figure out a good system for planning for next semester and this was super helpful
I feel relieved seeing this, cuz I always wanted the "perfect planner or journal" and this really showed how time-consuming it is to catch up with yourself and figuring out how to have this one item actually help you instead of driving yourself crazy.
I really liked your points about how you only needed one to-do list for a couple days. It really made sense and is great advice for people planning during their changing life style.
I feel a bit nostalgic because I actually remember most of these planners and sitting down and planing along with you. You got me into bullet journaling three years ago I think, and now I'm a senior in high school. Although bujoing still works very well for me, I'm low-key scared how's it gonna be in college because I really like my artsy spreads lol
This was really eye-opening for me to watch. I'm also a third year college student, and during this fall semester I came to the realization that my planning method that I had been using since high school wasn't working for me anymore. Bullet journaling had always been a creative outlet for me, but I was feeling less and less inspired to decorate. I found myself skipping pages frequently, especially when I got busy. In my regular planner, I ran into the same problem you mentioned--I didn't need to have a new to-do list every single day, which resulted in me wasting a lot of pages. This video gave me a lot of ideas to try for this coming semester as I head into more difficult courses, clinic, leadership positions, and the beginnings of graduate school application prep. Thank you!
Ahh miss your videos and hope college has been treating you well because high school is not treating me well at all 😂😂. Hope you are ok and done with your finals. Love from a fellow studytuber
i really appreciate how candid you are with this! i will say, the intense weekly thing seems particular to reading heavy classes. i don't really take too many of those in engineering and i think that's why i can keep up with my bujo still. smt to keep in mind for anyone still trying to figure it out!!
YAYAYAYAYAYYA I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS AHH!!! i sent you a message on insta saying this but! this is so helpful and means more than you know! as someone who's just a step behind you (a sophomore in college right now) and has been a faithful watcher of your videos since 2016 (I followed you on Tumblr first!), watching how you grew and changed your planning throughout that time kind of shaped how i did it!! so yeah! sending love!! 💜💜💜
this was so cool to see the way your planner changed over time! I’m a junior in high school right now, so this gives me some ideas for how I can switch up my planner! have you looked into the muji planners? they’re in the style of the hobonichi weeks, but there are many different styles from a6 (the size of the smaller hobonichi planner) to b5 (around the size of a sheet of notebook paper) so you might be able to find the perfect size!
I originally tried using a weeks for my academic stuff. It had enough room but I started late so it wasn't gonna take me through the whole year. What I did was I bought a midori b6 slim planner, which has the week on one page and a lined page next to it. I use that strictly as an academic planner and I now use a hobonichi weeks to do shorthand journaling, just writing a summary of each day. More memory keeping than anything. This way I have one planner that looks pretty, and one thats more functional, without either taking up too much space.
@@studyign do you ever have regrets about college? How did you chose which one you wanted to attend? How do you make friends and adjust at university as well as balance fun and work. thanks!!
studyign How to cope with going from a straight A student from not doing as well in college? I was never a straight A student but I have friends who were and I know it was hard for them to adjust.
@@studyign i'd like to know about how you made ur decision for college and then how you knew it was right for you once you got there :) thanks for responding
@@studyign how to deal with loneliness, overcoming social anxiety, avoiding burnout (which has specifically prevented me from having the motivation to study, workout, get our of bed, etc.)
you should try the mossery co planner they have a planner w vertical weeklys with the time stamps and theres room for to do lists and blank pages at the back of it for even more to do lists
You should try daily planners from Moleskine, they have daily pages with the timeline so you can use them both for to-do lists and for your daily timetable. I hope you're doing great in college and I've missed you so much.
i'm using the new muji vertical weekly b6 planner for 2020 because a5 is just too big for me to carry around. i love the weekly layouts of the hobonichi but only bought the a6 for last year and it was too small and i sadly didnt use it for most of the year :(.
Bro, I have always loved your videos, and I don't know how I didn't know that you were in marching band. With that, I only have one question, what did you play, do?
What is one thing you didn’t think you could never have been prepared for, or something surprising that you couldn’t prepared for when talking about college.
While I like the layout of the hobonichi cousin I can't stand their paper. It's so thin and it shadows show much it would drive me insane. If I was only using black pen on it it wouldn't be so bad, but if I wanted to out highlighter or different colored pens on it, I would go crazy being able to see all the shadowing on the next week
I think you can just get the weekly layout from hobonichi but i believe its only in the a6 size good video though sareena. Always happy to see you back on youtube
You could always do a digital bullet journal through good notes on an iPad or something. It might be less time-consuming because you could copy and paste custom weekly spreads. :)

i actually like messy planners over super decorated ones!

thank u!!! the change was important in how i organized my tasks

I really can’t wait to see the new setup I hope it solves the issue of wasting paper.
