As someone who usually goes over the top with stationary. This is what you should bring. GOOD BLACK PENS, highlighters, pencils, a couple of colored pens, a folder, and something to write on.
As someone who's in their second year into uni, all i can say is what you take depend on the teaching style your professor. And take it slow on the first week because usually it only serves as an introduction to the lecture.
Find your perfect pen! One that is smooth and quick drying and comfortable to hold. Then stock up on refills. As a past HS student who used mechanical pencils for everything, now that I’m a sophomore in college I can tell you I completely neglected all pencils and only used pens. When I wasn’t using pens I was using highlighters to highlight the ink 😂 the only time I actually use pencil is for math homework, even math notes are in pen. This is because the notes I make in college are way more important than the ones in high school, even if you took challenging classes in HS. And every page of notes is usually STUFFED with information in tiny handwriting, at least for me (pre-med/PA). It’s terrible for your notes to smudge or become ruined when every page has your blood, sweat, and tears poured into them 😅
my sister said all you literally need is a pack of pens, paper and a binder or two. But even then she barely buys her black pens as half of them are from random companies and events. I know that it's nice to get the best pen and it is cool but who says you can't make do with a random biro?
what a better way to end an entire day spent on studying with friends than your video, thank u for this blessing (also i hope you're proud, i was thinking the entire time that you would be and pushed harder!!)
As someone in a similar situation (I have a desk in my room at uni but it's too small for me to study at productively) I'd highly recommend taking another smaller pencil case, for days when you know that you're only gonna need a few things, that way you don't have to take the big one around all the time! It's taken me so long to figure out the best way to study for myself (I finish my degree at the end of this semester) but your videos have been a huge help in the last few semesters! Can't believe I graduate in three months!
good point im adding it to my backpack RIGHT now🤗 and yes figuring out how to study for you is so important!! glad ive been able to help, best of luck in ur future endeavors!
I recently graduated college for chemistry and now Im sad because I dont have an excuse to buy japanese stationary anymore :(. But aha Im going graduate school so once that starts im back in the game :)
Love these videos! I’m also a rising college junior and I’ve been watching this channel since I was applying for colleges in HS. Always cool to watch someone else go through the same kinda experiences!
I used to watch your videos in (the greek equivalent of) my senior year of highschool. I was studying for my uni entrance exams and it was a period focused on schoolwork and productivity. Honestly, your videos were kind of therapeutic for me. I bullet journaled back then and I was really about that study life. I pushed myself to my limits, got completely burnt out, but at least I was accepted in the university of my choice - now I'm studying classics in the university of athens, greece. back then you were also talking all about getting into college and I really identified with you and your situation. I was looking forward to growing with you as life progressed. after that year, I sort of stopped being so interested in study youtubers. I stopped bullet journaling and switched to a google calendar system, I care much less about stationery, I stopped studying as hard as I used to in highschool (because honestly it's exhausting) and I'm just chilling and focusing on merely passing my classes. I'm learning my third foreign language, acting in a theater group, and working part time. I travel a lot too, and sometimes make youtube videos about it. I thought I was gonna be that studious owl forever. but it's not working for me anymore. I found one of your videos today because I was looking for study snack ideas (I'm preparing for my september exams). I visited your channel again and it was a huge trip down memory lane. I'm happy to see you're still making videos! I'm sure you're helping a lot of people the way you once helped me. it's hard to believe both you and I are about to embark on our third year of college/uni. sending lots of love your way, and I'll be watching a few of your most recent videos now because i really appreciate you. ~ an old friend
Hey I just noticed that you used both a laptop and your iPad Pro. I just bought the iPad Pro as a replacement for my old laptop, so I was just wondering what you use each for during school?
I personally used a Chromebook (basically a suped up tablet with a keyboard) for the first few years of HS but got a laptop before my first semester of college and it was much much better b/c there's a lot I've had to do that requires a device with a processor. I'm about to finish my first semester and while I preferred having an actual computer, many of my classmates got by with an iPad or Chromebook, it really depends on your own workload and how you prefer to do things.
laptop is so much better for multi-tasking i use my ipad mainly for notetaking and illustration but watch youtube (haha) and other internet things on my laptop
okay i love u so much i cant even...just binge watching ur videos right now. I like it that you dont focus completley on the aestheticness of your videos, (but okay theyre already just super aesthetic and minimalistic already!) you auctaully try to make them helpful as possible. no unnecessary little "decorative" parts, just the simple easy and beautiful facts and main ideas of the initial video. when i make videos i focus waaaay too much on making them "aesthetic"!🤣😭
yesss thank you! it’s gonna be my first year in uni and i’ll be living in dorm and luckily i have a table in my room so i’ll be bringing a few small boxes to put my stationery on the table
I feel like everyones school supplies get more minimal every year that passes in university. I pretty much just used a black pen, a couple notebooks and a folder in my final year of university 😂
I looove my mildliners but this semester I decided to only take 6 with me (one for each subject in my planner) and I also selected my two favorite Pilot juice pens so I could save some space in my backpack 🤭
omg that’s exactly what i wanted to see in a video thank u so much so i want the mildliners and the kipling pencil case, but i was really in doubt about if the rubber bands will support the mildliners and in this video i could see exactly how it is thank u so much love your channel love your work kisses from Brazil 🇧🇷 * and sorry for any grammar mistake
Wait, but why won't you have a desk? I feel like you should try a traveler's journal for all of your notebooks and your bujo, but that's only if you want to.
COOL SUGGESTION ive always been interested in travelers notebooks but never actually ventured into that space - so ill be in a triple room in my sorority house, i dont have room for a desk there (which is fine bc i dont actually study in my room, but sucks for storage)
Where did you get your glasses and case? They look amazing and I probably need to get a second pair of glasses (sometimes I'm forgetful and leave my only pair at my house).
I'm starting uni at the end of September and I am trying to get into on-campus-housing but I haven't heard if I am accepted yet and it is stressing me lol but also at the same time I think that it will work out fine
Basically, it's a tool to track individual students' attendance and participation in large lecture classes. Each student in the class has a clicker that's registered specifically to them. They operate via radio frequency, like a TV remote, and typically have buttons labeled A, B, C, D, and E (maybe Yes and No buttons as well? It's been a while since I've used one haha). Throughout class, the instructor will present (usually multiple-choice) questions, and students respond by pressing the button on their clicker that they think corresponds to the right answer. This allows the instructor to see who specifically was in class and whether or not they understood the material, even if it's a lecture with hundreds of people.
Hi! Just sharing my experience using ipad for college. If you prefer to take digital notes rather than writing on paper, ipad is much more convenient. I maximalize my notes using goodnotes. Also, for me who read a lot of books, reading ebook on ipad for textbooks, journals, ect is better coz i cant read using my phone too long. But, if u prefer to write material on book, ipad may not that essential to bring except reviewing, digitalize notes. Still, it depends on ur needs, major and university system. :) hope this helps u and u can ask more
The only essential in college is ONE notebook, ONE pencil and eraser, ONE blue pen and ONE black pen, ONE calculator if you're in science class.. there you go..
this is super helpful for me because i’m starting university in september and i don’t want to go over the top with stationery
so exciting!!! good luck!

Honestly I’ve used my iPad for over a year and am never going back to paper notebooks ever again!!
What does the clicker do?

sleatersan oh!! That’s neat, thank you :)
All I’m bringing is pencils pens highlighters paper and a stapler
where is the best place to get a clicker?
I'm considering on buying an IPad for University, what would be the main pros and cons with using an IPad for Uni work..? :)
