I've been a corporate slave my whole life. I really admire these bold souls who've cast off that yoke and go out there and live freely. It's especially cool that they make a living doing it
Also helps when you don't have a rugrat and a spouse to support but yea, otherwise it's a life of quiet desperation.
Reality is we can’t all do it.
If we did no health service, factory workers,farmers,shop assistants...goods and services...deliveries.... not everyone can work from a laptop sadly.
But great to dream or find a way to make dreams become reality 😊

Thank you so much for taking such great care of Camper, a dog who never knew someone who loves them as much as you do! Thank you for having Campers back, Camper will always have yours! :-)
My goal after feeling this intense bond with Camper is soon I’m hoping to start a program to save more animals and get them healthy and find them homes - working on this for the very near future! 🤞🏼🙏🏻❤️

@@NikkiDelventhal My youngest dog was a rescue. When you found Camper some Jack A---s probably ditched him. Dogs have feelings too and get depressed when abandoned. Glad you saved him. Sometimes i wish i could take the people who abandon dogs and leave them out in the mountains by themselves to find their way back alone. To show them how it feels.(Lol) of course i would never really do that. Just a dream. (lol)

I came to this video because I need to see a lot of English videos to improve my listening (I am not a native English speaker) now I want to move to my car!
I too rescued an abandoned doggie, most rewarding experience of my life!
we have three rescue pups, 1y.o, 5y.o. & 7 y.o --- just fabulous, loving animals.
In thought I was the only person that like chewed food to prep it for myself instead of cut it, I was told I was so WEIRD for it by multiple people, and maybe it is weird, but I NEVER thought I'd see someone else do it haha. It's just so fast, efficient, and perfect literal bite sizes.
It is actually healthier to use your teeth. It secretes fluids to help digest into your stomach...
Glad that you got Camper especially when you camping alone . I saw the video how you met Camper, and it was a great story.

Your dentist deserves a shout-out. Great smile. Living in a vehicle is independence but a Prius is so small. I'd need a van... if I had the courage to pull it off.
The Prius has several huge advantages over a van, if you can deal with the smaller space and lower ground clearance. Most notably, it is almost unanimously ranked the world's most reliable vehicle, with the best HVAC system (perfectly suitable for running overnight while you sleep) and of course it is incredibly fuel efficient.
A Prius is smaller than a van, but it is far from being small. I took my older one (same generation as Nikki's) to Harbor Freight, bought a US General 56 inch roller tool box, took its wheels off, put it inside the Prius, and closed the hatch fully. It is a steel box 56.7 x 35.4 x 22.2 inches weighing 400 pounds. I've carried fully assembled shelving and wall units up to 36x71 inches with the hatch closed and the driver's seat forward but not so far forward that I couldn't still fit between the seat and steering wheel to drive it. I've also carried a boxed, new 80 gallon Sears hot water heater standing upright on a receiver-hitch cargo carrier on it, doing "65 in a 65" on the interstate.
Even in a full-size van, people complain about not being able to stand up. And a lot of the space becomes used up by aisleways, cabinetry, toilet/shower, a bigger bed, etc. There are people pulling huge trailers just to have a big SubZero fridge and freezer. You adapt to what space you choose to have, and what things you consider needs versus wants.

Please consider tinting your widows, even at the lightest shade so when you put your window screens its not as obvious. Make shift window covers are a dead five away that someone is living in their car
Agreed. Tint them all. It'll make your lights inside your car less visible from outside through the cracks. The phone screen will be so visible from outside through the little cracks on your window shades.

I was mentioning that when she had like 3k Subs, she blew up now. She should tint for some privacy. No one would know she or who was inside.
@@malteseknickerbocker1866 I’d do 5% on the back windows. Then 35 on the front because some states have tint percentage Laws on the front windows.
@@myboy051 I was in Canada on a day trip in someone else's truck that he had purchased from a Washington State Patrol officer. The window tint was legal in Washington State. We were stopped because of the windows being tinted too dark. The officer was going to have our vehicle towed if we didn't remove the tint NOW. I guess if it had been factory tint it would have been OK but that wasn't our case. So we rapidly removed the film. I didn't even know you could. I believe they were looking for someone as we saw two cop cars. We suffered the frustration of the officer and had to pay a ticket also. Not fun!
Nikki I've been living in a Ford E250 hitop extended length van for 2 years with a 105 lb German Shepherd. Your car might
fit inside my van. People wonder how I do it & I look at you & think the same thing ! Right now I wouldn't have it any other way.
I've had big homes & lived in the same one or two rooms all the times. The only problem I've had is with Gus my Shepherd.
Even though hes house trained when I go to friends or familys home hes not used to all the space and he still likes to sleep
in the van.

I traveled with my dog for 10 years , I didnt lived in a car but did travel alot, he was like a 1/4 of Camper though...so easier; we went by motorcycle, car, even by bicycle. BEach was the best
Good info that can easily translate into road trips, of any length. Sure people comment on your looks, but it’s the humbleness, honesty and sense of humor that makes me a fan. Where do you put the dirty laundry? I too been living out of my car for 2 year's.people say I'm crazy when I tell them I gave up $88k year income. I tell them I lost 100lbs and off medication. Normal blood pressure. I stressed out from becoming homeless. Now I'm homeless and I'm not stressed out. I lived in the Grand canyon 5 times over last 2 years.
