Conversely if you are hitting up the drive through multiple times a week and impulse buying candy at the register you are not as broke as you think you are, and you can definitely eat better for the same price or less. If you are overweight and believe you are to poor to eat better you are fooling your self also. In John's world food is a significant expense because he and other bodybuilders and athletes are eating more food overall than the average obese person.

Not to bash the guy, but I will never not lift weights/body build. even if I'm barely making enough money to feed myself, I will still lift. lifting got me clean of drugs. When I go an excess amount of time with out hitting the gym I notice a significant change in attitude, motivation, and all around well being. lifting has been there for me in the times I've been down right suicidal. Lifting saved my life and will be something i do till the day I die. on top of saying this watching Mufu's videos helped me fall in love with lifting again and get back to my old self.
