    Hi Dan, I really appreciate that you take the time to create these videos. Even your brief overview videos go more in-depth than most videos about these medications. I like understanding the actual mechanisms of all of the different medications instead of how most people just describe SSRIs as all doing the same exact thing. Would you potentially be open to making a video about Lyrica in the future? Looking for a new option for my anxiety and I would like to know more about it!

    • @DanGreer
      @DanGreer  2 роки тому

      Thank you! I appreciate the kind words, this video took a very long time to make, so I am glad it is helpful. I will consider making Lyrica video. It is first line in a lot of anxiety guidelines, but many providers overlook it because it is not FDA approved for that indication. Thanks again for the comment.

I’m sleeping most of the time and couldn’t go to work. Today I was put on in abilify at a low dosage 5mg with a different psychiatrist

    My brothers recently been prescribed this medication as he has what appears to be schizophrenia. He's on 5mg currently and it looks like he may need a higher dosage, it's only been a few weeks but it seems to have slightly taken the edge of his episodes. I assume the doctor always starts on a small dosage as a potential to ween the patient onto the medication, as most studies I've read about start at 10mg as a minimum for schizophrenia.

    • @DanGreer

      No psychiatrist would take this because they know of the side effects, how hard it is to come off of them, and of the potential to permanently alter their brain chemistry. Your second sentence may have been unnecessary, but so is this guys comment making a joke of what you've said. Psychiatrists are not therapeutic "doctors" and they only help some people sometimes and usually temporarily. Legal drug dealers essentially
