Portland man stalked by cougar used survival tips learned on YouTube to get away

- A Portland man is safe after a close encounter with a cougar in the Columbia River Gorge.
Ben Blumenfeld was trail running on the Angel’s Rest trail on Tuesday evening when he said a mountain lion jumped out of the woods.
“It got really close, like within a person’s distance away from me,” said Blumenfeld on Thursday. “It had a quick swipe initially.”
Blumenfeld said he followed the advice on what to do from a UA-cam video, which might have saved his life.

This happened to me at my house in South Salem. It was so close i could see its broken teeth.
There were missing cat signs up all over the place at the time.
I walked backwards all the way down my street banging a shovel on the ground to my neighbor's house.

Oh I've seen cougars on you tube too . Its amazing what they do and don't censor. Don't say " g#n " or " dea# h " tho
You Tube thinks they're Disney.
The Gorge is their habitat, no surprise encountering a 4-legged cougar. 0:19, K-2 reporter looks a lot like Monica Lewinsky, nice curves too.
