No no. You have no idea what you are talking about. Traditionally Guyanese do use spices in addition to essence in our cakes. Ask any Guyanese. Cinnamon, nutmeg, mace are all spices that go into a cake. Apart from personal preferences, people do add spice to their cakes. Don't be misleading. Also 8 or 9 eggs and even up to 12 pieces are used in Guyanese cake. There are variations yes but wholly these amounts are old school measurements. So provide accurate information.

how long did you bake it for and at what temp.?
350 degrees for about 45 mins or atleast until you insert a tooth pick or skewer and it comes out clean.
