Tom Keifer is truly an underrated singer and Cinderella is truly an underrated band from the 80s. My favorite band growing up, a lot of their song's were amazing. Awesome reaction to this. If you really liked this check out, don't know what you got til it's gone. Another hit from them. My personal favorite is, fallin apart at the seams, it has an intro to it called, bad seamstress blues. That is truly my favorite from them though
My favorite band of all time is Cinderella. We saw Cinderella play a club in 1993, and about five years ago, we saw Tom do his set here in Oklahoma from backstage. My wife got one of his picks from the performance.
U can see references to the 'Cinderella' faerie tale w/ the clocks ("Five minutes to midnight" ... the spell ends at midnight for Cinderella) Cinderella was formed in the 80's by Tom Keifer (vocals & guitar) and Eric Brittingham (bass) in Philly, PA... Keifer wrote the songs and the band was finally signed in 1986 as Jeff LaBar (guitar) joined and recorded their debut album 'Night songs'... Fred Coury (drums) joined as a member (but only played drums on 1 record - 'Heartbreak station' in 1990) ... Cinderella opened for Bon Jovi on a massive tour as 'Night songs ' sold 3 million copies in the US w/ hits like "Shake me"... "Nobody's fool" and 'Somebody save me'... airing on MTV. However, Keifer was frustrated that Cinderella was judged by their image rather than their music... 2nd album 'Long cold winter' was released w/ a white cover and few band photos... it became another 3x platinum hit w/ the singles - 'The last mile'... 'Gypsy road'... "Don't know what you got (til it's gone)"... 'Coming home' 🔥🔥🤘🤘 In 1990, Cinderella recorded the album 'Heartbreak station' w/ more blues and country influences and stripped away their "big 80's" sound, hoping to get more musically serious... The album sold platinum, but the band ended their tour in 1991 after Tom Keifer experienced vocal problems and required surgery... After a long delay, Cinderella returned in 1994 w/ 'Still climbing'... but it would be their last studio album. Nineties grunge rock had decimated their career and the band split up by 1996. Tom Keifer would undergo more vocal surgeries over decades to restore his voice. In 1998, the original Cinderella reunited to tour and released a live album... but a new studio album never materialized. They would tour occasionally but disappeared after 2014, citing internal dissent... Tom Keifer began a solo career soon after. Sadly, Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar passed away in 2021 after years of alcohol abuse (R.I.P.)
Right on Capili! You manage to tap into some bands and music that are not known by the generations.Your observation is right on ! I admire your vocal and music sensibility.
Cinderella is really interesting because of the way their music evolved across their first three albums. The first album was mostly formulaic hair metal, it was good formulaic hair metal, but formulaic hair metal nonetheless. After that they started to incorporate a lot more blues influence into their second album and by their third album they almost sounded like something that can only be described as hard Aerosmith
Lead singer Tom Keifer some years ago damaged either vocal cord or his larynx or something like that, and thought he'd never sing again. But finally he recovered and I think he's still singing today
Steel Heart " I'll never let you go " if you haven't seen or heard yhis song by Steel heart? Little lady it is worth the look! Warning, prepare for your jaw to hit the floor and good luck picking it back up! Yhe lead singer was classically trained like you❤
I remember rushing to get this album when it came out I think in 86 and it lived in my Sony Walkman it was one of a few 80s metal albums that got me through some tough times as a teenager.
I remember when this came out and I saw this tour with Bon Jovi and they blew them away. Tom Kiefer is not only a powerful singer but holds his own on guitar. The one thing that hurt them with the rock metal community was the image and the name they chose. You didn't see Cinderella patches on denim vest back then Anyway I just wanted to say I enjoy your wide eyed enthusiasm and smile that you have on during your reaction videos and you look alot like a girl who was my nieghbor of mine. Very cute just like you. Continue enjoying your musical journey as we will enjoy watching you. 🤘🎸🥁🎤
One of the very best hair bands, they really could play and rocked out when I saw them. For another of their very best songs, try Long Cold Winter, A great tune you will love. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Nothing like a little hair metal to put things in perspective. Cool tune! Loved your reactions Aaliyah! See you next time Cutie! 🔥🔥🔥🔥💋💋💋💋🦊🦊🦊🦊❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Tom Kieffer never gets the credit he deserves. When I heard that his vocal cords were paralyzed in the late 90's and he had to stop singing, I was crushed. Thankfully, he was able to work around it to get back to close to his original form.
*Nice...next one's I would suggest are; Somebody Save Me__Shake Me__Nothin' For Nothin'__Don't Know What You Got. 'Night Songs' is a really good album.*
I'm glad you enjoyed the music. Love the way Tom Kiefer sings. Back in 2013, he came out with a solo album, "The Way Life Goes." I think the whole album is good. Hopefully, next from Cinderella, "Dont Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone)." Cant wait for more and as always, great reation.
Good choice. Bon Jovi makes a cameo in a few of their videos. Check out more w/ Don't Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone) & Gypsy Rose. Also, check out Great White - Rock Me, Lady Red Light, &/or Once Bitten, Twice Shy.
Loved that you listened to this one. It was their best song in my opinion. I was lucky to be a teen in the 80's when this song came out. BUT, i have the PERFECT Song for you to react to "SCORPIONS - STILL LOVING YOU" 🎧💙🙏🏼if you have never heard it, it will surely turn into a favorite
Saw them with Bon Jovi and Poison back in the summer of 1987 here in Toronto. The air smelled of hairspray and cheap perfume, the women even complained :) Great night of Hair Metal (not metal at all as we know) Bon Jovi went past the 11pm cutoff and the stadium turned on the lights to get them to stop hahah.
This was a great choice for a reaction video! I'm glad to see you enjoyed this song with its classic '80s video (which often showed women running for no reason). Keep up the reaction videos. You are very good at this!
How did you miss or not comment on the guitar flip the guitar player and bass player did when they spun it. So cool and hard to do without busting your head open
Aaliyia, I promise you, if you liked "Nobody's Fool", you should give Cinderella's "Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone." I give you my word you will not be disappointed. This one may actually have you shed a tear. It is that strong
Thanks for your inspired reaction to this song! I saw Cinderella open for David Lee Roth back in 1986. They are an excellent live band. Lead singer Tom Keifer has been a significant influence on Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Maybe you will react to a Halestorm song someday.
Where do I begin? The year was 1986 and a this ushered what was to be known as the continuation of glam metal and an awesome birth of a power ballad. Cinderella would later top themselves, in 1988, with the piano driven nerve chiller You Don't Know What You've Got Til It's Gone. The vocal by Mr. Keifer is even better.
Oh yeah forgot to say, that I truly love your reactions and facial, shows that you are totally open to learning new music and listening to it. That's the problem with people nowadays, they don't actually LISTEN to the music. If they did most people who are famous right now wouldn't be.... 80s and 90s and even 70s is where the real music is. Keep the video coming
I love your reactions - your insight on vocals is really honest and informed! I have an out-of-this-world suggestion for you: "Hocus Pocus" by the band Focus. Trust me when I tell you that you will never in a million years anticipate the way the song goes, but you'll have a lot to say about the vocal performance! It's an experience you won't forget!
I love Cinderella this song was always a fantastic classic and yes very fun to sing along to when alone lol (my Cat Lucy agrees). Thanks again for the amazing video Sis like always. 💖💝

It'll change your life for the better. One more thing. Those girls are from Mexico, and sing mostly in English but they have a couple of songs in Spanish. Cheers from Spain
First three Cinderella albums will get a spin now and then as long as I live. Great music and Tom Keifer´s voice is something you can´t be mistaken if you´d heard it. Catchy song indeed, a big hit back then and hasn´t lost it´s power to day. Good choice Aaliyah !
Ajattara's song Lammas ('Lamb') from their acoustic Noitumaa album would be interesting. Their little bit never track Suru ('sorrow') could be little bit easier even it tells poetic way to losting yourself in to itself (how it should be said?). You got good variety and you seemed to be open minded as it comes to art. I like that.
@@mariakooistra4331 A sad day. I was in Denver the night they filmed Pour Some Sugar On Me. One of the best nights and best concerts of my life. They played it twice in a row just to get the video right. Stephen was a master and extremely entertaining to watch. R.I.P. indeed. I saw them again the same year at Red Rocks in Denver. First time with Tesla, second time with Europe. Amazing!
Great reaction. Cinderella was awesome but they were sidelined a lot after their first 3 albums due to singer Tom Kiefer needing vocal chord surgeries several times. It didn't help that this was around the time grunge came in and decimated to whole hair-metal genre.

In my opinion, one of the best bands from the 1980's. Tom Keifer is so criminally ignored. He's genius.
Thanks for sharing
CINDERELLA is the most underrated rock band ... They are awesome in concert
🥰

They were slightly unlucky on timing. Talented. Tom's the real deal.
My favorite band of all time is Cinderella. We saw Cinderella play a club in 1993, and about five years ago, we saw Tom do his set here in Oklahoma from backstage. My wife got one of his picks from the performance.

You will love Cinderella live at Moscow Music Peace Festival-89, with the song "Gypsy Road". Tom's intro-singing is amazing!😊
Thanks so much for sharing
I was thinking the same thing. When they do this song and he sings "I scream my heart out..." Chills!
I love when they play “nobody’s fool” in Moscow and the bass player plays guitar so they can perform the harmonized guitar solo live
I was in junior high then. The 80s were the best! Music of our Youth.😝❤
🥰🥰🥰
"I SCREAAAMM my heart out!"
Gives me chill. Conveys all the emotions out.

Brings back lot of memories watching MTV in the 1980s as a teen. This song had heavy airplay. The rock ballads were the most popular back then
🥰
"Heartbreak Station" and "Don't Know What You've Got ('Til It's Gone)" are worth a listen.
