I was there today and all the childrens play area were closed for maintenance. It is brand new, what maintenance? Even the restaurant area was closed. Really disappointing.
It had yellow tape all around the childrens play area. 2 childrens area. The restaurant area had yellow tape as well. It was a hot day and no water available to drink. And no nearby stores to even walk to were available.
This is something I didn’t realize Merida was missing until now. This is an impressive addition to a great (and still expanding) city. A lot has changed in the year since my last visit. Looking forward to checking it out in person next week. Thanks for the preview Monte. 👍🏾
Saludos
I like it! If I am not mistaken a station will be near by to take the Mayan train December 15. So you can go to the archaeological sites or visit Cancun on a Long weekend.
The park ( 50 acres) is surrounded by the originally train station, so it’s more historical the trains being there. Someone mentioned they didn’t understand the train being there .
Very cool to see spending for the benefit of the public at large! I do think because it is sooo open and HOT during the day, it may not be used much until later sunset time! Unless more shade trees get established… 🌳 🌳 🌳
There are lots of planted trees that will be full in a matter of weeks. Things grow crazy fast here. But most parks are not heavily used in the Yucatan in the middle of the day. Early mornings and late into the night is typical.
People can go jogging around the park then hit the food court area for a fresh squeezed juice. No a fan of the whole train in the covered area, I think they will realize that they might need more space as soon as the park becomes more popular something that we'll see...Great video.

The Maya train station is at Teya but the Le Tram station is here on Parque La Plancha. Le Tram is an above ground tram that will connect Merida to the Maya Train Station at Teya.
Are you still into reviewing homes that will be up for Airbnb in Merida? I’d love for you to come by and do a review on my home. Please let me know how to contact you about this. Thanks
I love Mexico. It’s not perfect. But it’s developing day by day. And I respect that about it. Upward and onward!
Absolutely. No place is perfect but Mexico is perfect for me.
The park looks absolutely amazing. I can see free outdoor concerts being held there for the public.
For certain this will be the location for many events

@@luisguillen9887 it’s Christmas and typically the children’s play area has staff working the area.

Isn't it just absolutely amazing? Such a gift to the city and so beautifully executed. I really love the upper level for walking.
I was definitely surprised by how wide it is up there.

It's really beautiful!
It really is a work of art. The federal investment into this park was a huge win for the state and city.

Good point.

Cool park it reminds me of a smooth iPhone Lol!
😂. I ran there this morning and it’s getting better day by day.
This was the old train station, the new train station is being built in another place of the city

You would love to visit the mall of Mérida called La Isla😊
Thanks Angel. I was there yesterday. I’m glad you found the channel. I’ve been here since 2019.
@@Mexitplans If you are hungry go to La Isla To a restaurant called Chicago's Pizza in Mérida Island 😊

They need a Chick Fil A in that concession area.
Church. Amen! 🙏🏽
please be safe
Thanks. I feel safer here than in Atlanta.
Looks beautiful, but an awful lot of cement.
It is a lot of concrete but the trees are already starting to grow in.
Too much concrete agree 😣
