      I just got my drain out using this method, and it was very tight, I had to use enough force that I damaged my channel locks but it got the job done

    I tried that, broke my channel locks, and crossbar, then I got mad and threw my hammer and broke the mirror. Then while I was screaming I cut my feet on the glass and slipped and got a concussion

    You know I saw this video a couple weeks ago and today I did my first bathroom install and it took me forever to get that part out and now watching this video I realized I saw your video long time ago and just didn't retain the knowledge and dog on it I brought my channels but I didn't even use them that way It took me a long time to get the old one out but I'm excited It looks really nice no leaks and they're happy😅

      The t was gone in mine because it was so old. I sawed it and twisted it out. Took less than 10 minutes. Just replaced it.

    My channel locks broke the cross bar, had to cut the sides of thr the drain cover w a sawzall just a bit, and used a prybar as a wrench.

    The easiest way to remove this is by cutting a couple slits with a dremmel and Voila!

    Worked well bro, I used a broken breaker bar for more leverage and it came off in seconds.. Thx for the tip.

    Any advice if your drain doesn’t have the cross bars? My drain has small channels across from each other about 1.5mm deep and 3mm wide. I just can’t get it to budge! Any tips appreciated!

      I would cut a couple of grooves in the Outer ring with a dremel or cutoff wheel and then hammer it with a chisel or flathead screwdriver.

    Yall some hatters if done correctly it is that ez! I just did mine right now also make sure that u hammer the soft hand grips of the channel locks into location and go slowly as your turning cuz if not that's how u screw up and break stuff

    One is loose already and second it’s never that easy especially when some people use cheap putty that dries and causes it to lock up

      Hammer and chisel or flat head screwdriver. Dig in hitting it to the left to hopefully get it loosened

    Don't bend your channel locks by prying something between the handles. Grip where both jaws meet with another channel lock or pipe wrench.
