This mission is entirely garbage.
First we have a hanging section to start the mission off, and it's horribly awkward and slow, so you'll die a lot if you don't know what you're doing. It's also blatantly obvious that the developers just modified the scuba gear off the sprites of the playable characters to make this section; You can see Marco kick his legs to swim when he turns around briefly, and he has idle animation for unclogging his gun underwater. When you're moving at a speed that you would be underwater, but everything else can attack you as though on land, somebody's got to call bullshit on it.
And then the mission just goes on and on, with little change in the environment or enemies. You then get a Metal Slug which you're inexplicably forced to ditch. The slopes are angled in such a way that the Metal Slug tank can't even animate properly.
And then the final boss... urgh.
Whomever green lit this game deserves to burn. It's amazing to me how the new developers can see the Vulcan Cannons, the zombies, the extremely hard gameplay of the previous series, but they fail to see how to make an inviting, enticing and progressive arcade game. They fail to see how the developers of the previous titles inject life into everything on the screen, from vehicles to environments. They fail to see the goofy humour of the series, and how they just want you to have fun, and instead make a game that wants to kill you from Mission 1, riddled with glitches.
Noise Factory ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Fun fact : Did you know that this stage are originally has Stealth feature ?
That's right, this final mission at roping section are meant to have stealth feature like what originally metal slug 3 Team are failed to achieve.
Dataminer found that there's many unused script on final section, these scripts are followed :
Enemy has Visibility range on front of their facing area, meaning you can bypass them if they're not looking direct at you.
After Roping section, if you don't alarmed any enemy, the enemy you're facing are normal soldiers, not blue coloured uniform one.
These blue coloured uniform one are meant to be far more stronger than normal soldiers, their attack and projectile are very fast, they can withstand three Pistol shot before dying, and they're capable to toss grenade like players as well.
This meant if you successfully stealth the roping section, the rest Fighting are easier to do
I don't know where you found this, but it kinda makes sense. The blue soldiers fires their rifles diagonally upwards. Maybe the player would climb the ropes and the soldiers would fire at them.
Say what you will about MS4, it's got great Music.

I didn't knew they won't go after you when just stay in place,
but i don't consider Dr. Amadeus a very difficult final boss; personally, i consider him the most exhausting boss because you need to move a lot and at the same time taking him down in every form is like a chore to complete for having a lot of hit points, not mention each of his three forms has a lot of HP which is kinda annoying
So technically the hardest boss?

While having painfully repetitive scenery, I don't mind this stage that much because there are some fun challenges throughout the level that don't require much memorization

Reused Sprites: The Game. Also, i love the fact that when you kill a scientist wtih the flamethrower it shows the rebel soldier burning animation. Such laziness is funny.

Who gives a shit when the game itself is fun? Definitely better than most arcade games at 2002.
Worst thing about this level is that it feels particularly boring design-wise. They should have gone buck wild with the theme of fighting androids as enemies. Dr. Wily there is missing his Capsule final phase as well. That music, though...
30kb game size and 1 hour of music. so much AI and graphics. now. i have 60GB game in which they cant even make the blood splaces like real, only one dying animation over and over. bullshit soundtracks. game ends in 1 day. needs 1000k computer to play on. need another 3000K dollars to buy an internet that needs to run it on multiplayer and does not lag. need 100 dollar to even buy it.
And what's more, this is widely considered the weakest game in its series, yet all of what you said still holds true

The game is not 30kb. That is far to small to house this game.
The AI is very basic and isn't that smart. The graphics are good, but the only reason why they're soo small is because they're more basic than modern games.
I've seen lots of 60GB games where the blood looks real. I've seen a few games with some creative death animations.
Oh okay. Modern games don't have good soundtracks? Yeah, God Of War, Sonic Mania, DOOM, etc don't exist at all.
1000K for a computer? That is a lot. You'd only need to spend about 400-500 to play modern games.
3000K FOR INTERNET? OKAY NO.

Tiar Salah Eddine he was invincible. Look at him with that sparking color, it means it is invincible. Like when you get out of the slugs or at the start of level or at your life respawn
mario argaez oh is that so? You make me think about this in Metal Slug 4. He was shining and what I remember is that you shine not only when you get out of slugs but also when you take off the parachute and when you change places (and it was the case in this video. But this is not the case in Metal Slug X for example)
its been years, why there isn't any new Metal Slug? They should keep making them. Because nobody cares about the graphics, We just love the missions and stories
I know right? They could do so much to modern it! (Besides 3D, Only 2D) It sucks to know that a classic isn't to be continued. But even then, Who truly knows if the next Metal slug could come this year? Megaman 11 came back, maybe there is a chance for SnK to lay a hand on the Metal slug series again. Also, I heard about a rumor of how they ported Metal slug XX to the ps4 library, just to see if the community wanted another metal slug game!

You're right. But doesn't Metal slug look good anyways? Besides XX/7 with super undetailed backgrounds.. I just wished for atleast a comeback to the series. One like metal slug 3, it can be short, special even with a good enough story to it, but I honestly just don't want it to be an XX. It was super challenging in a whole that mainly people who played the previous entries to the fullest would get a kick out of it instead of newcomers.

The only thing that I love about metal slug 4 is the soundtracks, the HazMat Soldiers (Making the zombie segment a little more logical, even tho people prefer the unused MS3 Gas mask unit over it) and the Amadeus Soldiers, even tho some sprites are bullshit from their HMG segment, it's still enjoyable
