I literally just got the hang of this skill and landed today.. after months of tries!! Exactly as you mentioned, i set my mind to kickflip fast and catch it 90.. but now i can only land around 120 and need to pivot to full 180.. but heck, land is a land..🤙
i just got mine two days ago!!! i can hardflip now too!!! been skating for almost 5 years n now i got a couple of nice tricks to bust out in a game of skate 😌
I've never been good at frontside flips. Im much better at switch and nollie front side flips. When it stops raining, I'll try your foot position. I have to say you really helped me with my hardflips!
Me it's not only frontside flip it's all fs tricks in Switch/nollie were always easier and actually I'm really trash at fs regular tricks never know why 🤷🏽♂️
Even a frontside 180 was quite hard to learn , sick when you land one of these . I usally just do backside flips because they feel more natural . Frontside always feels against the grain to me
Forest almo I feel 99% of people’s weakness in this trick is the regular kickflip. If you can’t kickflip at least a foot off the ground, the 90 degree catch seems inconceivable without a really ugly pivot.
I never had these good, but could do the fakie versions better, maybe that’s a cop out they seem to 180 way easier like most tricks off the front facing kick. Will try some more based off this
I could always flip fs flips, but I never committed to them, instead I learned switch fs flips first because it felt more comfortable landing regular. Then I thought about it one day and realized how ridiculous that was and went to the park and landed a few regular fs flips that day 😂
when i try frontside flip i cant rotate it full 180 , i catch it at 90 degrees and then i stomp it for some reason . illusion flips are much easier for me but i dont really like them
Is it weird I do most of this trick in the second half? Like I turn 90 degrees flick my foot but I flick it in the direction I want the board to turn to help complete the turn. That's the way I do them switch and regular and has always worked for me.
Is it weird that I was practicing these today for the first time after having kickflips down, that instead of doing a fs flip I just do a shifty instead? I’ll do the 90 degree kickflip, but instead of finishing the rotation I go back straight to regular.
If you can varial kickflip then just flick harder to get the double flip. Along with that pop down harder so you have more hang time for the rotation. If you're having a difficult time with the flip, maybe try learning double kickflips if you don't already have them.
i landed like 3 of these a a few weeks ago but i cant flick it right now and i was landing 90 with a pivot i need to go out and just try these for a day
anyone have tips on having them not rocket out 😢 i have most every regular flip tricks down but i never understood how to do these good. mine always rocket and are mostly revert
Nice. I like the constant replaying slow motion style of editing whilst the detailed voiceover makes its point .
Tom painter yep love his style. So much more useful than looking at someone’s face while they talk.
yeah most how to videos suck, they just talk and ramble and show very little skating lol his style is soooo much more effective
it helps so much man lol
Me too.

My boy done taught me frontside flips!
He taught me hardflips!

This video is the reason I landed frontside flip today. The footing and everything is just like how i do it. This video put me right bro. Thank you.

This is the kind of analytical approach i thrive on my i will learn this trick and itll all be thanks to this videos

I can't heelflip but I can front heel
So true man

Lucky. Backside is more stylish
Weird, exact opposite for me. Frontside 180 come really natural but Backside 180 I can’t land on flat ground.
Exactly what i needed im bored with the 4 tricks i have
I've been trying this trick for a while. Now i know what i was doing wrong. Thank you!
Landed a clean fs flip yesterday. Trynna make them consistent today. Feelsgoodman

Very helpful....as always. I find these to be so much harder than BS flips.
focusing on catching the board at 90° really did help a lot! thanks!!
I landed 2 sketchy ones tonight. Carve into them tho lol had to comeback and check out this vid!
Ive just learned bs flip thanks to you, so it’s Time to learn this one i guess
I never had these good, but could do the fakie versions better, maybe that’s a cop out they seem to 180 way easier like most tricks off the front facing kick. Will try some more based off this

Been trying this trick for a while, never landed one. Landed a couple times with both feet just lost balance. To bad I can't skate atm

I could always flip fs flips, but I never committed to them, instead I learned switch fs flips first because it felt more comfortable landing regular. Then I thought about it one day and realized how ridiculous that was and went to the park and landed a few regular fs flips that day 😂
the last one is so sick!!!
Trick tip nollie back heels plz
Thank you!
Great advice
I just went and landed the trick with this advice
If you point your heels together while in that position guaranteed land almost every time and if you don't turn your body it's called a hardflip
when i try frontside flip i cant rotate it full 180 , i catch it at 90 degrees and then i stomp it for some reason .
illusion flips are much easier for me but i dont really like them
Is it weird I do most of this trick in the second half? Like I turn 90 degrees flick my foot but I flick it in the direction I want the board to turn to help complete the turn. That's the way I do them switch and regular and has always worked for me.
u filming in DMV?
see, ive always tried doing the kickflip into the 180- i never thought about doing half a 180 into a kickflp
YESSSSS, ME AND MY BUDDY STARTED LEARNING THESE AND WE NEEEDDDD THISSSS TYTYTY
Thank you, could only do the illusion style.
Thank you good angles
Is it weird that I was practicing these today for the first time after having kickflips down, that instead of doing a fs flip I just do a shifty instead? I’ll do the 90 degree kickflip, but instead of finishing the rotation I go back straight to regular.
Gracias! i'm trying to get back that trick
Useful tutorial, what board size btw?
my fuckin favorite trick ever
Can you do fs heel
I land it everytime but my taint always hurts after.
Lmao
I m whating for this thanks
☮
I just can’t get my back foot back on. I started doing musks flips instead because they were easier.
I couldnt do these until I made a concerted effort to completely rotate my entire body
What about Nightmareflip?
If you can varial kickflip then just flick harder to get the double flip. Along with that pop down harder so you have more hang time for the rotation. If you're having a difficult time with the flip, maybe try learning double kickflips if you don't already have them.
Hey bro can we see an updated BSFlip trick tip next?
i landed like 3 of these a a few weeks ago but i cant flick it right now and i was landing 90 with a pivot i need to go out and just try these for a day
in my opinion easier than backside flip because of the rotation of ur body
No way
Fs flip easier to rotate Bs Flip easier to flick imo
Finally landed this
how to fs blunt ledge or rail
What board size do you ride?
Do u have fs heelflips down?

What are those shoes. Need to buy some new shoes
no muska jokes?
You look abit like dakota servold here
My Backfoot doesn't even get close to the board and it annoys me so much.
yooo do you ride 7.75 ?
hard get my back foot to catch it
Anyone else annoyingly land these with the heel of their pivoting foot touching the concrete?
1:05
I guess the only thing I have to do is just grow some balls and land proper. My foot positioning is the same, I just can't do this trick consistantly.
EEEEEEEOOO
