This guy deserves way more Subs, it’s nice to have a skate tutorial UA-camr who does more advance tutorial, keep making good quality in depth vids and I’ll keep watching👍👍
Dr Smudgie I feel the same way. The one where he talks bout the 5 things people do wrong when learning to tre flip gave me so much more perspective on how to do it. He is rad for being so informative
He also deserves donations from anyone who gets value out of these vids too. If a link gets put up, I'll donate in exchange for the knowledge that's shared.
I stop skating for 10 years because of a bad injury I had with a moto.. I restart last month and I lost everything a part kick flip Ollie nollie switch Ollie and all 180's.. and I lost my loved 3 flip and this video helped me a lot because I wasn't good a 3 flips I'm 25 now and I was skating for 3 or 4 years when I stopped! so let's work again on those tricks
@@scizophrenic2602 41 here bro and just got back to it!. Learning my flat ground all over again. But it's hella fun! Great time with my children who are now interested...
The tip about putting pressure on the back foot toe side is solid gold: when people say a tre is 'all about the scoop/back foot', this is what they mean. Unlike with, say, a varial flip, I don't consciously flick with my front foot, just try to keep it hanging in the general area to catch the board after it rotates. I actually re-learned tre flips (for the millionth time) a little while ago while my friends were trying 360 pressure flips. I can't pressure flip for shit but thought I'd have a go, only to find out that really putting the pressure on the toe side pocket was the key to good 360 flips. Skateboarding's weird like that sometimes, lol.
100% I skated for years when I was young now at 29 I'm back on my board again I never had tre's but after watching all this guys videos and learning the whole back foot tip I'm now getting them after just one day if practicing. This guys videos are good as you say!
I went out and felt for that toe pressure you mentioned was VERY important. It turns out that the toe pressure is VERY important ! Thank you so much ! My half flipped 360 shove is now a tre flip ! I actually landed one bolts, but slipped out backwards and ass planted the asphalt, and it rained right away. Next session I'll have it I'm certain ! You have great teaching potential, you should teach if you don't already !
@@erikeilingsfeld5284 No dude, I didn't get it yet ! I got a few more tailbone injuries though haha ! it's been terrible weather where I live for months but it will come soon !!
@@blame_day Gotta be honest with you, I haven't yet. I strayed away from it and stopped being so obsessed, to develop my core skills more. I got front 360 and front full cab though ! :D
i usually learn tre flips within a week or two of trying them and then i end up losing them for years, im 3 weeks into re-re-learning them. this time im gonna MAKE SURE i do tre's everyday, this is such a good trick, i hate losing it.
Man that tip about the wheel bite thing helps me so much I've been trying them for like the last year, and right as a learned this tip. I landed and got them pretty good that day. Thanks plant rider
I’ve “had” tre on & off for a year or so now & even when trying to clean it up lately i still land primo or feet close together on the nose most of the time (putting too much weight on front foot) your vid on bs360s helped a ton so figured I’d come back for tre. Going to stay conscious of this back foot pressure. These videos are short & straight to the point appreciate it 🤙🏽 Edit: I can now tre like in the video while moving, going to tre the 2 stair at the local park
Thanks I needed that tip about leaning the edge near the wheel to bring the opposite side to get a better flick, I was doing it the awkward way almost all the time and couldn’t land a tre for years
Quit skating 10 years ago, here I am, on a toilet, watching a perfect 360 flip on repeat... I can feel the scoop through the screen. Even after all these years I can still come across stuff in the city which make me think things like:" Lovely ledge to do a 5-0 on..."
Fuuuck dude! So hyped. PITCH THAT SHIT AND SCOOOOP! Just turned fucking 23 last month and I've landed maybe 20 tres total since like 8th grade. I've watched every fucking trick tip ever made and still couldnt get em on lock. You are the fucking man when it comes to learning tricks correctly and consistently. It took me 11 years to fucking get it. LOVE YOU DUDE HOLY FUCK
this video is soo good it made it into my skate vid playlist and i never put anything but shredding in there so props because this keep the watcher engaged the entire time with interest cheers
These videos are exactly why skaters are getting better every generation. Back in the day you had to get it passed down to you from other people who knew how to do it are study skate tapes. Now all we gotta is UA-cam any trick
I was that kid. Used to just watch skate vids 100 times over. It worked but it feels good to be able to put experience into words and help others differently. I even learn things by noticing stuff on this footy that I didn’t notice before
Your tutorials are great man, tre flip is my favourite trick and I still struggle to get it right constantly! I watched you vids over and over again...I really struggle to get the full flip, always landing on the edge and etc...Any chance I can send some of my clips to you and get your opinion?? Thanks heaps!
When you get ready to scoop, It looks like some people actually bend over the opposite side of the board to get even more momentum. Have their body weight leaning over the toe side of the board if that makes sense.
Much different switch since when I do them in my regular stance my body is facing more forward while during switch, body is more perpendicular to the board and can't get the rotation all the way.
You say to not let the board go behind you, but not how to fix it. What did you change to stop that from happening? Anything besides the classic advice of “lean back more”? I, and a lot of other people, struggle with this, so a detailed fix for this problem would be great.
I mentioned that you need a strong scoop which involves scraping the tail against the concrete. This allows you to stay in the same place as you propel the board in front of you
Are those the slip on pros? I really enjoy skating slip on vans, but I've got the regular slip ons and they don't last long at all. Curious to know if the pros are worth the buy.
Man oh man, you have no idea how much your videos help and motivate me. I also started following your vegan diets. I’m a meat eater but slowly trying to transition , and I feel so much more energy while skating and reaction / concentration is a lot sharper
Hey, I really appreciate your tips! I'm getting rotation and half flip... How tight should the trucks be? I like them loose, but does having more pressure there help any?
STEALTH i meant that bc i’ve been trying for like months dude and i should have them it’s bc i lost them and i never seemed to get them back it’s stupid my bad
My tre flips always flip vertical, especially out of banks. looks kinda wierd. what is going on?? how do i get it to spin more flat? any help would be muchly appreciated! love love
Skate hacks, I’ve been trying backside feeble grinds everyday for 5 months and it still always flips toeside when I try to pop out. I lean on my heals and it still flips. Please help
That's true. Ppl doing it first, focus too much on the flipping and end up double flip but lacking the spin. The flip work is about 25% of the normal kickflip
Hi, how can i ollie farther? i suck at this no matter what. i feel like i ollie far when i do it, but as soon as i actually measure how far i ollie, it's disappointing.
I can’t land tres with my back foot my friends say my front foot is really food at catching it but I can’t seem to get my back foot on the board I try and land with back foot only and I can but I can’t seem to add both of them :(
I dont even skate but I'm amazed at how fucking cool the tricks are...and technical ability of skateboarders.

I practiced this for a solid hour, I'm not kicking the board at all with the front foot. I'm able to catch with one footed. Damn this is hard.
I could tell by 0:08 you could do hella good Tre flips. You can almost tell by the scoop that they will land.
Nice, i didn't know about that 'touching wheel' thing. Would loosening up trucks help, for somebody learning tre flips, with flipping kickflip then?
As long as your trucks are loose enough to bend when you put pressure on a certain side you’ll be fine. They don’t have to be super loose.
Dude thank you!
