Oh what?! I must have missed her! I saw the crown but no Queen. If she hung on for a few more years, would she have gotten a letter from herself? My great grandmother made it to 100 and got a letter from the Queen, I think that's what kept her going.
My first memory of my dear Irish grandfather was of him playing his bagpipe next to my crib when I lived in a high rise apartment in Manhattan,NY that was built of the veterans of WWII of whom my dad was one. I live 200+ miles roundtrip from the nearest in-person instruction, a long-established pipe band that offers free instruction on band practice days. I figure I'll go a couple times a month and supplement with YT and one-on-one Zoom instruction.
