I bought a new 24 Rav4 XLE Premium Hybrid exactly 1 month ago. I live 75 miles north of Philly. The car was not in stock in local dealerships or was a bad color or had a bunch of packages/options that I had no interest in. There were some on the way. And the ones that were coming in in the next 2-3 weeks were good, but they wouldn't come off of msrp. I expanded my search to 100 miles, even 250. I found one that I wanted in STOCK in Philly. I made an offer ($1400 off msrp) and they took it. Got down there the next day and picked it up. Easy peasy. Dealing with dealers doesn't have to be painful if you're prepared and go in with a firm and realistic offer. Don't lowball them or expect to get 10% off sticker on a popular car.
So a Honda Dealer has a Honda Ridgeline listed on their website and auto trader for 39697 . Fees are 550 . Offered listing price plus fees. Manager said when car is in inventory 60 days it automatically goes to their invoice? Sound right ? Guess not wanting to sell at that price .
stopped at my Honda dealer 60 days ago. 2024 ridge line with sticker about 46,500. Offered to buy it for 10% off sticker and they never returned my call? Same truck is still sitting on their lot today. Hard to figure the car business, no rush on. MY end. LOL
@@jimmcbride4259 Ziegler Honda out of Wisconsin had one MSRP $ 44920 and priced at $ 40,090 . Offered same as listing and they came back and said they had an add on package and total above $ 47,000 with Taxes. Scam ! Just closed a purchase for $ 41000 out the door for RTL .
If a dealer is speaking 🔊🤔they are lying. Truth not part of training. Its lie customers until they fall for it. If that do t work bring out the closer. Once you con them i mean convince the customer then offer then a buch or warranty coverages that does noting for a few grand. Smh
You pay califonia tax then when you go to register the car in nevada you do not pay an additional tax. Just bought a car from California and I live in Nevada
I still don't get where the hell the car winds up. As long as the buyer pays the tax on whatever state they need to pay and pay to ship it or pick it up, who gives a flip? It's not against the law.
What is it with dealerships and discontinued vehicles. They stop manufacturing these vehicles due to poor sales. But the Dealership turns a poor selling vehicle into a rare vehicle hoping to cash in on a customer. Why does it matter where you are from, a sell is a sell. Are they just in to collecting cars and not selling them?
Sometimes when they stop making a vehicle it actually goes up in price. See for example the Lexus ISF, it was discontinued in 2014 but a used one today can go for as much as a new IS500. Not justifying their behaviour, but I am sure this is their thought process.
Because if you're local you are likely to come back and buy another car down the line. If you're out of state they can assume without a doubt you are just shopping for best price and they will never hear from you again. It makes sense to discount for future business, but out of state won't lead to future business almost 99% of the time.
Why are you trying to negotiate on vehicles that are not even available? Why would a dealership discount a vehicle that's not even available? Probably why I've seen you close like 1 toyota outta 50 attempts
@@MadridHopper005 Some people are very weak and can't stand a hard sales pitch or don't know how to negotiate. I don't mind it. I do a vast amount of research before I call any dealership. With my data in hand, I call the dealership and get their out the door price. Then I counter with a firm offer. If they take it, great. If not, NEXT!
Hey Tommi. Got the 2025 Camry XLE FWD for 34.6 including a dealer fee and taxes. So got them to 7% off MSRP just had to pay a 500 doc fee and taxes.
which state? Can you share dealership information

How does buying out of state work? Picking up and shipping
Amazing how often the sales people don’t give their names
I can’t believe the dealer gave me a quote for the wrong car and now I have to do it all over again. Sound like I got the bait and switch

Hey man, I was wondering if you knew what a fair price would be for a new Mazda3 hatch select?

Tomi do you negotiate the $1300 delivery fee off?
do dealers not realize that overall deal depends on your Drivers license address....

What’s the BIG deal about out of state?
Why do dealers care?

I am sick of seeing RAV4 negotiations.
So sorry, some other fun ones coming down the pipeline!
I am getting the vibe Hyundai dealers don't haggle.
😂😂😂
@@Delivrdwould love to see you negotiate an HD truck deal! Especially a RAM 2500/3500, since there are so many available nationwide!
Me to
I like and WOW amazing TY so much ,,Keep up the great work
Thank you too!
Do you ever close any deals? Never see that.
5-10 a day. A lot of the ending happens via text. Working on a few videos from start to finish
Wanted to hear whom he closed on that deal.
Avoid California Tax?!

Thanks for posting up Tomi. Look forward to your next live streaming session.
Any time!
why are even bothering with dealers in CA?
Good question
I enjoy the Rav 4 negotiations keep em comin
I enjoy seeing RAV4 negotiations because I wanna buy one!
I've been slapped for attempting to inquire about a vehicle at a dealership out of state. Bizarre....
Hey Man😂
Does all this guy buy are Toyotas?
LOL, I do a lot of Toyotas. People buy a lot of them!
If time was money , you would be broke, waste way to much time on a so called deal
The funny thing about this comment. Time is money. It’s what people pay me for. And I don’t think people would consider me broke.
Does this guy just call dealerships to haggle over the phone without purchasing them?
I negotiate for a living. These are all me negotiating for my clients
He’s what they call a broker! Very good service and people should do this if they don’t want to deal with slimy sales people!
