100000000%. Lots of used car dealerships are doing this now. As soon as you hear this type of voice you're speaking to someone in the Philippines or Southeast Asia. These people will pretend to work there, lie to you and say there's no fees, the price online is the final price, etc etc. They'll gladly tell you to come in and setup an appointment. Then you go in and deal with the actual dealership and the car has $5000 more in fees/adjustments. Ask me how I know lol
The Market just knocked on my door and when I answered it kicked me in the nuts and then went and personally adjusted all used car prices up 15%. Then it told me I was worthless and that my parents never loved me.

Man this is a sad lesson for a new salesman (saleswoman) She's clearly new in the industry and is being trained terribly by that dealerships management. Regardless she was nice and professional although a little naive... 😢
This is the exact reason why I can't buy a vehicle. The crash hasn't happened & after doing ALL this work to only be stuck with 6%+! I bought my IS F @2.3%. Just gotta keep waiting...
The part that is missed with this. Is this dealership called me back and agreed to the price I paid. I. kept calling back trying to get ahold of the manager as they said I needed to come in to sign everything with the agreed price. I kept waiting for that call and kept getting the run around. This is me getting ahold of anyone who would talk to me at this dealership.
There is absolutely no reason for you to be there in person whatsoever. They can do everything over the phone. They just want to try and nickel and dime you and play on your feelings after you physically see the car, but they do not know who they are dealing with. This car dealer is shady as all F. I would run from this dealership. This Girl has no clue whatsoever she is just there to try and get you in the door.
So you know she gets paid to make an appointment. You know she doesn't sell cars. Solid click bait...but will use you to buy my next one bc you are epic!! :))
I think i should have skipped to the end of video last 30 seconds as it sums all up. That woman tried to get Tomi physically visit dealership hoping after seeing a car that they think is worth the price that went up not down. After Tomi said nope not coming woman gave up and pretty much hang up. This is actually typical BMW or premium car selling in Europe. They are often full of S thinking people want used or barely used car for overpriced tag. As soon you buy brand new BMW and drive off from dealership you lost 10% or more by just doing that. Those premium cars loose value fast when they are sold.
Just tell her what the MMR is. Tell her to tell her manager than you know the MMR value and maybe they'll be reasonable. "I'll call you in a month, when you still have it. We'll see how much it's worth then". She sounds like she's just a lead generator and just wants you to come in and isn't actually in sales.
It pisses me off when the person i have to speak with at the dealership has the phone scammer voice.. and... why waste your time with a nobody bdc agent....???
The whole conversation was tough to watch, although you saw a point where she resorted to "want" tactics. This woman is definitely someone who should NOT be in sales. Expediting, and shaming tactics are seriously unprofessional.
Wait are you calling a Honda dealership in Edmonton? This exact thing happened to me this past spring. I was looking at an Audi RS5 they had. First time I went to the dealership the advertised car wasn’t even there because the dealership manager was using it as his personal vehicle. Then a week later when we went back the car was magically 2000 higher than it was the previous week. They did not negotiate at all and didn’t even consider my 60,000 offer. So I walked and bought a bread new S4 instead. Do not reward shady dealerships.
This video is exactly what's wrong with the car business... Customers call and wear dealerships out with their ridiculous offers and then they wonder why dealerships become so difficult...
