It turned out beautifully, and I imagine it would be lovely with the sun shining through. Everything comes out stronger with the dark blue. You could really try playing with the blue tones a bit. And I think it looks great with the green at the bottom, too. Like sea grass. Thanks from Germany. ❤🕊
You can use a heat gun to soften the plastic and reshape it and set it under ice cold water. I do that when I have plastic minis that are warped in places
This would make an amazing Snow ❄️Scene! Even the blue reminds me of one! Snow ❄️ on the bottom and little flakes shimmering in the tree! I love the outcome!! Beautiful 🤩 ❤❤❤ I’d just love to see your take on Winter 🥶 for those of us heading into it!! 😂❤❤❤❤
I was also coming to make a comment about using a heat gun to soften the plastic sea fan. Looks like a lot of us thought of the same thing. I’m surprised that Julie didn’t also think of it.
It is so cute. It looks like a school of fish in ocean. You always have such incredible ideas. Every day you keep putting these wonderful ideas in my head. Thank you so much! Have a blessed day to all 🥰🥰🥰
Your plate came out so cute and the fish stickers are so an adorable addition. You’ve inspired me to try this myself, and I’ve got the perfect mold for it. I love watching you work as I always get some kind of inspiration from you. Thank you!
What a great find Julie. And I like it with the Sandy bottom. I would probably trim the “tree” down so that it was leaving some negative ocean space (with a few fish), and then tried to ombre the blue depths of the water, and add three little schools of fish in the tree. ❤
The nice thing about little plastic things like these sea fans is that you can paint them if the color isn't appealing. This art piece is very nice, and the white helps the little fish stand out where they might be overshadowed with something as loud as a red fan.
Absolutely LOVE this Julie💕 after living so many years in the Caribbean and seeing Fan Coral and btw those “worm things” stickers are eels 😉 and yes they are the one thing that I absolutely dislike in the ocean, no matter how many years I’ve seen them. Thank you so much for this great idea!! And you hit the “nail on the head” with all the little fish swimming in and out of the Coral…they love to hide in it
Do you think placing this in the oven at let's say 175 to 200 just so it flattens out on a piece of parchment paper and a cookie sheet. If that works you could once it hardens up you could brush on a few different colors you could see in an ocean like blue, green, yellow, and orange maybe then if you have a wonderful husband who is good with woodworking he can make a base for you that could house the light coming from the bottom up into the resin plate. I would make a base where I have 2 half moon pieces of wood that would go on either side of the plate so you could slide it in a square base then a nice wood stain and give it a nice gloss to it and then that should keep it nice and firm and you have the light shine thru to all the colors. I bet that would look great for any living room or computer room or even a night light for a girl's room. If I can get my hands on 1 of those that is what I would do for my Granddaughter. I make her these doll houses but nothing from under the sea type of setup.
A very thing darker layer.. then a sticker/transfer of the green sea grass, then the fan and rocks, then the fish and top coat. That would give it much more 3d effect. Cool looking!!
I really liked this idea! I like the thought of grading the water upward from dark to light next time, that would be awesome! Such a great share Julie thank you! ❤❤❤
Oh, that's soooo pretty and creative! 😊 Could you maybe cut a piece of that fabric for the background? Idk how 🤔 you'd adhere it, but that background is absolutely 😍 lovely. 💙 It really makes the coral branches and little fishies pop 🎉 😊 Well done Julie! 😊
It's really beautiful!! I have a thought...what if you put your clear layer is first with the stones, then the coral with the fish, then the darker blue resin background so when you unmold and turn it out, the coral looks like it is planted in the rocks and the background is the underside but last layer you pour. Hope that makes sense...LOL Always love your content...watch everyday!!! You are so very creative... Sending love from Vancouver, B. C. ❣❣❣
Julie, I watched a video recently of Sherry Moulton. She had received one of your molds and she was over the moon about it and singing your praises. Just thought you might like to know.😃
Love it. Brings back memories of when I was young and seeing what was on the reefs and tide breakers. The things I took for granted growing up. I may have to copy this with more black rocks (volcanic) and white sand. Just don't know where to put it. 🤔 😅
I love how this turned out!!! I really like the fish addition, but I think it was so beautiful just as it was with the tree branches sticking out before the top-coat! It had a unique textured look that I really liked ❤❤❤!
Absolutely love this Julie ❤ Im really hoping you and Barbara from Resin Nut got to meet each other in person. I know she's visiting Australia. Take care and keep creating ❤
This is REALLY beautiful 🤩! I bought one of your molds already and I love this! I’m fairly new but I’m going to take a crack at this! Thank you for all your content! God Bless❤
Very pretty. Love the coral look. Actually liked it better before you added the fish but still a beautiful piece. You always create such interesting unique items
All of your pieces are are art. Have you ever thought about taking the finished piece and standing it upright in another mold, filling it in and using it as a base for standing it up? Sort of like what you did with the wine glasses.
I like this one very much! I do wonder about pouring the light blue resin at the top and then a slightly darker blue resin at the bottom hoping to get an effect where the color fades as it goes from bottom to top, much like the fabric that you placed behind it. In the absence of having any gravel on hand, I am sure the neighbors kid will never miss that wee bit of sand that was acquired from his/her sand box. Though not as much fun, you can purchase aquarium gravel and sand in many different colors from any place that sells aquarium supplies. Julie, do you know of a way that you could get mica powder to adhere to the fan prior to placing it in the mold? Oh, yea, you may be able to get the fan to lie flat by heating with a hair dryer or heat gun on a low setting and then weighting it down while still warm.
This is absolutely beautiful ♥️ I have not seen this one before, it truly looks Beautiful ❤ Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of art work with us. I cannot emphasize how beautiful it turned out.
What a cool idea. I love this. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤❤. Absolutely adorable. Sure hope you do this again real soon. Oh gosh a dark background you be perfect.
I just love ❤️ this project !!! The clear is so beautiful 😍 yes with the color behind it -it gives a different look. But I love the clear & as far as bubbles it’s an underwater pic so some should be there. Fantastic job Julie !!! Thank you for all the videos you share.
So cute!!! I love ocean themed things and this came out so pretty! I'd love to see a second try with the darker background too, it looked very pretty on that cloth!
What a cute idea. You could even turn this into a tree of life also. Use some leaves and birds instead of fish.
It turned out beautifully, and I imagine it would be lovely with the sun shining through.

I was just about to type the same ☺️
I was also coming to comment the same thing.

I love the outcome!! Beautiful 🤩 ❤❤❤
I’d just love to see your take on Winter 🥶 for those of us heading into it!! 😂❤❤❤❤
Either heat gun, or put between two bath towels and cool iron.
I was also coming to make a comment about using a heat gun to soften the plastic sea fan. Looks like a lot of us thought of the same thing. I’m surprised that Julie didn’t also think of it.
It is so pretty. Glad you are showing us how to make a beautiful piece of art.
That is adorable! You are so creative. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Bubbles underwater wouldn’t be a bad thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It is so cute. It looks like a school of fish in ocean. You always have such incredible ideas. Every day you keep putting these wonderful ideas in my head. Thank you so much! Have a blessed day to all 🥰🥰🥰
What a neat idea! The addition of the little fish sells it for me. So cute!
Wow, it came out beautifully and what a great idea! I’d love something like that hanging in my window!
You're not even done and i'm in love with it
I loved watching you do something new. All my art is decor. And I loved that you went with the darker stones. ❤
Awww..I love your aquarium.. would be beautiful hanging in the window
Very pretty, adding the little fish was perfect. ❤
Your plate came out so cute and the fish stickers are so an adorable addition. You’ve inspired me to try this myself, and I’ve got the perfect mold for it. I love watching you work as I always get some kind of inspiration from you. Thank you!
That is so gorgeous piece of art
You Need Some Medium Stones For Weighting Things Down!! Thats What I Do When I'm Glueng Things!! Just A Suggestion!?😉
What a beautiful idea!! I'm curious to see what it would look like with fairy lights either behind it, or wrapped around the little "branches"!!❤
Beautiful sea fan platter,.... The fish really bring it to Life. A dark blue color next time maybe.......❤
Love this, Julie - very creative!!!
It’s gorgeous! Loving the white coral and fish! So creative!❤
What a great find Julie. And I like it with the Sandy bottom.

Really like it with the blue drape behind! What a lovely piece!

I love it Julie!!! Those teeny tiny fishies are super cute ❤
I'm inspired to start working with resin after watching you create this gorgeous piece.❤❤❤
Absolutely lovely❤
The sea fan over the water ripple mold you made might be pretty too. You could cut and give the sea fan like a bit of a bonsai tree shape.
It is oceanic!! What I envision of the “Great Coral Reef”. A very small section. But amazing!♥️♥️
Love that you added the little fish, so cute. This is so pretty. Awesome sauce! xoxoxooxoxo
Absolutely did enjoy this video Julie love little fish adorable 🤗🤗🤗
It's very cool! I love that you put the fish in it!

I think a green bottom coat to give it a bit of depth, not too dark color. So cool looking. That is very pretty with darker blue. 😊❤
I like it with the light blue the way it is
I would try one in red for Christmas. Looks great.
So glad I found you. Your ideas are fantastic.
It is fantastic and interesting to see you something different ❤
Oh, that's soooo pretty and creative! 😊 Could you maybe cut a piece of that fabric for the background? Idk how 🤔 you'd adhere it, but that background is absolutely 😍 lovely. 💙 It really makes the coral branches and little fishies pop 🎉 😊 Well done Julie! 😊
Stunning!
It's so cool. I prefer it without the backdrop. ❤
Beautiful idea. Turned out fantastic. 🎉🎉
Lovely.
It would make a good clock too.
Fantastic! I absolutely love it. What a great idea. ❤
Great idea! I put the heat gun onto the plastic to flatten it when I did something similar!
This is really cool, what a great idea. Love it Julie, thank you x❤
Love thid. I love ocean things. Wish i had one.
It’s beautiful just the way it is ❤
I might try placing the plastic on a silicone sheet and popping it in a warm oven for a few seconds to flatten it. Turned out great.
That's super pretty, I love it! 🐟🐠

I love seeing new things! This is beautiful!❤❤❤
This is absolutely gorgeous
This is so cool 😎
I ❤this piece of resin art .
Absolutely in love with this ❤❤❤❤
Julie, I watched a video recently of Sherry Moulton. She had received one of your molds and she was over the moon about it and singing your praises. Just thought you might like to know.😃
Very nice. ❤ next time I would double the blue, try the hot water trick, and a bit more resin.
Love it. Brings back memories of when I was young and seeing what was on the reefs and tide breakers. The things I took for granted growing up. I may have to copy this with more black rocks (volcanic) and white sand. Just don't know where to put it. 🤔 😅
Julie this is adorable!!
Really beautiful Julie! ❤🎉
So sweet and wispy 😍
I love how this turned out!!! I really like the fish addition, but I think it was so beautiful just as it was with the tree branches sticking out before the top-coat! It had a unique textured look that I really liked ❤❤❤!
The blue is Gorgeous
Absolutely beautiful
Love this idea another success
Put a couple of larger rocks to hold it down and have them go to the edge, they can help hold the piece upright when done
Absolutely love this Julie ❤ Im really hoping you and Barbara from Resin Nut got to meet each other in person. I know she's visiting Australia. Take care and keep creating ❤
So so lovely. I love it.
This is REALLY beautiful 🤩! I bought one of your molds already and I love this! I’m fairly new but I’m going to take a crack at this! Thank you for all your content! God Bless❤
Love your sea 🌊 sean 💙 😍 ❤️
Wow! That’s amazing!

Really cool idea! And it turned out great
Thank you! 😊
Really different nice idea ❤
This is so cute!
You could use you larger mold to lay on top to push all of it down. That way nothing sticks
I just love ❤️ this project !!! The clear is so beautiful 😍 yes with the color behind it -it gives a different look. But I love the clear & as far as bubbles it’s an underwater pic so some should be there. Fantastic job Julie !!! Thank you for all the videos you share.
I love it so much ❤❤❤😊
Oh, WOW! Julie, that turned out SO PRETTY!! LOVE IT, LOVE IT! 💕😍 I would definitely display that in my home! 😊❤
It’s so pretty I love it. I hope to be as good as you one day. I’ve just started out with the epoxy but I’m slowly learning 🙂
On your next one, you should put a little bit of seaweed on the bottom that it looks sweet and I love it it’s pretty as usual
It would be so pretty as a sun catcher (without the backdrop)
It's beautiful 😍
So much fun
So cute!!! I love ocean themed things and this came out so pretty! I'd love to see a second try with the darker background too, it looked very pretty on that cloth!
Thank you! 😊
So sweet❤
Adorable
Very pretty
So cool love this
