Why does it have open dif? Maybe I should of bought a charger rt instead of a sho. Idk I have an 06 magnum rt awd I was planning on throwing the torqstorm on but after a bunch of issues I bought a sho. Still working on hemi but idk. Id rather have a newer one. Maybe in a year or two.
Rt’s and lesser trims come with the open diffs as well as everything 2010 and before I believe. The 6.4s get the lsd. Magnums are cool. You could put it on whatever you want. I have heard the awd systems don’t take to power mods as well as the rwd but if you only plan on going torqstorm you should be fine.
Throw enough boost at one and it can. Ring gap being a minimal supporting mod. preferably forged internals. You can run a lot more boost that way and be in the 700-800’s pretty easily. Although a hellcat would be nice you can build something equally as fast for a lot less.

Different paths to get there. Cam and ring gap and you could run 10-12psi boost. Easily hitting 700hp range.Add forged internals for piece of mind. That would add roughly 3-4K to my 4500 already invested in boosting it plus 15k I paid for the car originally. Totaling somewhere on the low to mid 20k range. If you can have hellcat power for less than half the cost of a 5 year old hellcat why wouldn’t you? Not that hellcat power is the goal because it’s not. But it could easily be done no problem at a fraction of the cost of buying a hellcat.

The person might as well take the 5.7 out the car and spend up to 20 to 25,000 for a 426 hemi or stroker and put it in their and fix it up if someone gonna spent 20 to 25,000 it makes no sense to fix up a 5.7 just to compete with a hellcat hey but if Someone wanna do that its on them
Just get a 3.06 Getrag, that's all you'll need. Your axles and everything will bolt right up. But with the 3.09, you'll have to get the whole rear subframe from a 2015+ along with the drives haft.
I didn’t get any yet. It’s weird looking online some parts sources say the same axle for both 2.65 and 3.06. While other sites saying they are different. Mopar being one of the ones saying they are different.
Any luck finding an LSD? I messaged you once before, I have the same jazz blue Pursuit as yours, but mine has the LSD. I don't like paying for tires much, prefer to burn my rubber shifting gears, but she did a nice smokey driveway burnout. Love the gauge setup you've got going on, too.
Which pulley do have on supercharger I just ordered mine it came with the 3.1 but I think it will make to much boost for my 5.7 since it's the smallest
Mine came with the 3.25 but I have since swapped to the 3.1. When I swapped pulleys I also installed methanol injection as an extra detonation precaution. With that set up it is around 580 crank 500whp

It was just a cheap one I got on Amazon. I didn’t like that one either because it didn’t have a pressure relief and I didn’t want to mess with modifying a cheap unit. Just ended up going with one from torqstorm
@@richood75 the Amazon one is the one I didn’t like and replaced with the torqstorm one. The Amazon one didn’t have a pressure relief cap. I went with the torqstorm one because it bolts right in to factory connections. Way happier with it. Although it was quite a bit more money at $250. But honestly it was worth it.

I found that I needed the srt lsd 3.06 for the 2011-2014 model years for a direct bolt in replacement. I believe that the manual rt’s that did come in the 3.06 and 3.09 ratio were not limited slip.
you can snatch a 3.06 from a srt8 11-14 300 or charger. need carrier hubs axels tune i believe thats all youd need. im looking into the swap myself that getrag a little too pricey right now.

My computer says 25mpg. 😂 that’s a lie. But honestly not as bad as I expected. It’s not really that much worse than stock. I think I’m getting around 300 miles a tank. I would have to pay more attention to it to be sure. But I’m sure I could get more if I drove more conservatively. Lol
Open diff 300s 5.7 & I can slide it take talent lol seriously you learn throttle position & feel for the swing before the diff locks up traction control completely off. Especially in the rain? Forget it
@@travblac2277 I have daily’d it. I drove it for like 3-4 weeks straight 50 miles a day during tuning. No major issues. Worth noting. Has been beyond reliable.

Yes you tap into the crank. They give you everything you need for it. Pretty straight forward.

what’s your tire and wheel size? I heard on the pursuit model you can’t run 20x9 or 20x11, how’d you get it to fit with the pursuits brakes?
20x9 with 275/40/20. No fitment issues. Bolted right on.

True. It sucks that there is such a difference in price but the extra cash isn’t really worth the headache when I can just drop In the 3.06.
Well it turns out that the axles do not fit into the 3.06. I am finding this out the hard way. Will have to get new axles and hubs.

@@hemi_hearted for the Getrag LSD 3.06 and up, you need the 226mm axles. The open difs had the 216mm(?) If I remember correctly.

Overall it’s been great. I had it dyno tuned and it puts down about 500whp. No track days though. At least not yet.

You can install without intercooler but you still need to make piping. I made the piping from an eBay generic build your own kit that was about $100

I tee’d into my oil catch can line with a vacuum manifold between the can and intake.

I did not. Everything internal is stock.

Technically no. It would work without one. But heat is a big enemy of boost. Especially the Az summer heat.
