Just a heads up for people that are removing the stock speaker from that adapter. It you go around the ring of the metal bracket with a hairdryer for a couple minutes…that thing will separate like butter. I’m gonna get in there with a mini cutting wheel and take out the side plastic wall. The stock speaker is super shallow with a really small magnet…so your replacement speaker will more than likely not fit at all or buzz on the plastic. Foam baffle between the adapter and new speaker should do the trick quite nicely and protect from any moisture as well. Ton of room for new speaker and baffle as the window track does not interfere. Do yourself a favour and get some deadener /thermal barrier for the door panels and some shin-etsu grease and window bushings for those stubborn windows while you’ve got the door apart.

Can you leave a link for the speaker you bought from Amazon
Did you leave stock tweeter in place?
Pretty sure the nb speaker size is 6x8 not 6x7, maybe that's why you couldn't get all four screws in
5"x 7"
@@gerydblackmore5484 nope, it's 6x8
I bought some kicker 6x8's and they fit like a glove
A 6x8 and a 5x7 are the same speakers, but with different mounting hole locations.
What's the link to the door panel removal? Thx.
didn't you have to deal with the 4 ohm or something resistor??? Whatever happend to that? Was that not present on the circuit
noice
