Zipp is adventurous, brave, just like Rainbow Dash. Pipp likes beauty, fashion, just like Rarity. Misty is shy and kind, just like Fluttershy. Hitch is kind, loves animals and talk with them, just like Fluttershy, he is a bit like Applejack but I am not counting it. Sunny is the leader, and she study and undersand magic and history, just like Twilight Sparkle.
Also the cute marks and hair and eye colors and skin tones to! I believe pip is related to Rarity and sweety bell and pips mom is candience and flurry hearts anciestor

It would've been cliche if the Mane Six in G5 were direct descendants of the G4 Mane Six. There's too much variance in colours and cutie marks are usually decided by passion rather than bloodline. The only pony who has ever studied family history long enough to know his pedigree is Cattail descended from Meadowbrook. I am however leaning towards the Fifi-Derpy family line due to behavioral inheritance. Phyllis is a bit of the parallel opposite of Spoiled Rich given that she doesn't push her son like Spoiled did to Diara, but gave him pretty much everything he wanted. Mind you Phyllis brought all the Earth ponies together and I wouldn't be surprised if Spoiled and Filthy did the same after the three pony races just broke up. Cozy Glow doesn't seem like the kind of pony interested in starting a family even if she somehow escaped her petrification. I would definitely like to see direct descendants of Prince Blueblood given that he himself is a descendant of Celestia. I'd like to think that Misty Brightdawn is descended from Luna.

I don't count G5 as canon in the G4 timeline, and I think hasbro realizes how badly they messed up and are trying to start over.
