Redeming her with friendship would be futile as that was the very thing she was using in her schemes. If anypony tried to befriend her she would have much easier time manipulating them or think that is being manipulated :3
She had her chance, but just like Chrysalis, she threw it away...

Condemning a minor child to Tartarus was problematic, to say the lease. Especially as we know nothing about Cozy Glow's backstory, her parents or guardians (she claims that she's an orphan, but could be lying), or even if she really is a filly. Somepony had to enroll her into the School of Friendship.
Cozy Glow deserves at least the offer of redemption, whether she accepts it or not.
I say, Cozy Glow should have an redeeming relationship with Flurry Heart.

@@emilioaquino6903 Diamond Tiara could reform cozy glow as well, because she too was a master of manipulation and she had everypony wrapped around her hoof, maybe both Diamond Tiara and flurry heart could work together to help cozy glow and getting reformed, and possibly having a relationship for all three characters.
I love that she’s so young and a villain, in real life, child criminals are the most terrified kind of criminal out there

@@ToonTimeEUA I study a lot of the human mind, children have a lack of understanding of what’s right and wrong, which can make the acts they commit some of the most heinous mixed with curiosity and naivety, in the end, they grow up permanently lacking some skills many of us learn in our childhood

I think she’s one of the rare characters that just probably won’t be redeemed, especially since she’s so young and personality is probably gonna be moulded by her experiences forming a truly evil character probably
I wish Season 8 was more clear with her. As you said you expected her to be CMC member but she came out of nowhere as a twist villain. If they were mote clear about her goal everyone would have better vision on her.
I feel like that was intentional though. Considering her cutie mark is about as out of place as a bunny in a lion's den, and the stupid cutesy voice that literally no one else takes in, we were never really supposed to like her like any other character, and always be iffy about her
@@thegoldenbrickstone I mean there was an intention but it was so small and forgettable. And her cutie mark doesn't scream "I am a bad guy". There were a lot of opportunities in the show to use her and build up her intentions but the show did none of them. The brightest example is when they were searching for artifacts in the school. When the school was in chaos Cozy could have seen as learning about those artifacts, possibly stealing them and replacing them with fake ones. You can find a lot of opportunities like that. Also having a cute and sweet voice isn't even a fake thing if you compare it to most of the filly characters in the show. Of course every character will have their haters and I think even if she didn't end up as a villain there will be her haters around.

@@TheFlash-vb9bj Her cutie mark is a rook and rook is known for making sacrifices. If manipulation was truly implemented it would be a king since it is the main character in chess and it needs to protect itself from any harm by any means necessary. Having a cutie mark related to chess doesn't equally mean he is all about manipulation. Maybe she is really good at chess as well. Who knows she had barely time for her background and in season 9 she is just unhinged as well.

As much as I despise Cozy Glow, I really thought they were gonna try and redeem her. *She was a child at the end of the day, like dang, now they give kids a harsh hand?!?!?!?!* But as some say, she was just *"too far gone."* But then again, they reached out for Discord didn't they?????
I don't think Discord was aiming to kill anyone. He's also never been evil, just chaotic
But think about it. She's very manipulative. The first moment that we see of her is her crying in front of the CMC's clubhouse. Anyone who was in front of the clubhouse always had a reason to come look for the CMC's. But there was no reason Cosy had to be there in the middle of the apple orchard. Meaning she had a reason to be there. Maybe wanting to manipulate the CMC's into doing what she wants. And it worked. Plus she wanted to drain all the magic out of Equestria and said that friendship was a tool used. So... Yea evil.

Out of all the redemption arcs, Discord is the only reformed not by Twilight, but by a different pony being Fluttershy, who are did some redeeming aid for Garble. I'd really like to know how Cozy Glow managed to overwhelm the highly magically apt unicorn Starlight Glimmer. I'm not too sure if age is a factor, since Diara got a redeeming arc. What I don't understand is what Cozy's end goal is. What does she have to gain by harnessing and exploiting the power of friendship? Well she doesn't seem to express interest in riches, luxury and other greedy desires. Her evil is akin to Lotso from Toy Story 3. Another thing I noticed is that Cozy Glow is the only villanious pony to get punishment for her evil acts, unlike Flim and Flam who get a slap on the hoof for misdeeds that realistically would be regarded as criminal. Also Svengallop faces no consequences for his vile behaviour. Some villains might deserve a second chance and unfortunately this never applies to Lightning Dust who has the same potential Trixie Lulamoon had. Mind you in MLP G5 Opaline is a villain with no remorse or regret.
Cozy Glow was a Sociopath, plain and simple. She showed a complete lack of empathy and no remorse for her actions whatsoever, also she had no long term planning skills.
Someone with no empathy cannot really understand the concept of friendship and someone without remorse will never be capable of change, at least not for the better.
The only instance of Cozy showing any hopes for redemption was a line in season 9 frenemies I think.
Still, her motivation is all over the place, she come out of nowhere and her plan doesn't make any sense, had she succeeded she would still have gone to prison, without magic she's just a child and there's no way she could've have done anything to face the royal guard.
In the end, she's just another byproduct of the wort MLP season from G4, so i guess it makes sense we had her as the main Villain.
Plain and simple, she's pure evil. Irredeemable.
I think a lot of people liked Cozy Glow for being such a twist villain.
1. The truth is that Discord's reformation is one of my favorites, and believe it or not, Discord did show empathy and sacrifice. As Celestia mentioned, Discord made ponies suffer for years, that was his fault but at the same time it wasn't, because Discord was forced by his toxic girlfriend Cosmo, but in the end he allies himself with Celestia and Luna and together they banish Cosmo, but in the end Discord erases everyone's memory and takes responsibility for everything, which would lead him to become that villain we all know.
1. Literally Cozy Glow is the joker from MLP, a clown who definitely deserves death. Now Cozy Glow I don't think is a girl, she is inspired by a villain from the 90s Batman animated series called Baby Doller, a 30-year-old woman trapped in a girl's body.
3. After it was mentioned that she shows empathy, I have more reasons to believe that Opaline could reform, because Opaline showed empathy by picking up Misty when she got lost (who knows, she even knocked on her door) because a villain like Cozy Glow or Chrysalis would have left her stranded. Also, Opaline wanted Misty to be her helper again, something that doesn't make sense, because Opaline only wanted Misty so that her tree would grow.

Hmm I didn't really care so much about cozy as much as i did with other my little pony villains so no comment on wether or not i think she should've been redeemed
it might of been a season 10 if there was one.

Honestly, this girl was crazy, cute but crazy stealing all magic was a bit much like why couldn’t she just steal the unicorns magic instead of all the animals magic like I feel bad for all the animals let me tell you like Tirek said before me all magic was a bit much

She was going to the school of friendship with the Princess of friendship, with the cmc as her guides. She had every chance to be a good pony, popular and with friends, but instead used her friends to gain power. Starlight and discord didn’t know about real friendship, and only acted on what they thought was best/ what their literal existence is (chaos). Cozy had no reason to harm others yet purposefully did, she personally knew the mane 6, they were always kind to her and she still locked them up in Tartarus. She has no need for redemption, because she always had the choice to be good and decided power was more important. Twilight even asked why cozy did what she did, giving her a chance to explain herself, and cozy just said ‘Power’ not even regretting it a single bit.

My best guess is the reason she didn't get any redemption in any of the My Little Pony G4 franchise is either the writer's we're planning to do a Redemption Arc for cozy glow in season 8 or season 9 alongside with Chrysalis and Tirek or the writers didn't want to give a Redemption Arc for cozy glow and instead we got the evil manipulator filly villain we know now to this day, if you ask me it a bad choice for the writers for not giving cozy Glow Redemption that she deserve, I for one would love to see her get reform and understanding the true meaning of friendship even forgiving those she betrayed.
but According to Jim Miller, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow were never intended to redeem themselves in the final season but to remain evil and Jim Miller also said, Tirek, Cozy, and Chrysalis were always intended to be the final antagonists of the series due to their heavy connections to the main characters, which is why Grogar was revealed to be Discord in disguise.
even though she is a child, she has already shown herself to be very dangerous and with no chance of redemption (she had her chance but like Chrysalis, she threw it away), when she grew up she would probably be the biggest threat and would have a chance of winning, as already almost happened
@@ToonTimeEUA I respect your opinion and it is true that cozy glow didn't show any remorse for her evil Deeds and there was no redeeming qualities like chrysalis, both of them were offered the chance of getting reformed but threw it away, but I believe there is still hope for cozy glow even though we don't know the whole story about her I believe 100% that she deserves Redemption, there's always hope for the wicked even the ones who are too far gone.
I just wish that the writers will give us more details and more development for this character and I know you want to know how she became evil in the first? place

She’s not a bully like Diamond tiara, she teamed up with two of the worst villains in the show and try to use the power friendship to manipulate others .
If twilight and her friends try to redeem cozy glow, she would rejected like how chrysalis rejected starlight offer, or it would end in disaster.
