Eric Burdon (the guy that’s was the frontman for The Animals) also was in War. check out “Spill The Wine” or better yet, “Why Can’t We Be Friends” (which also featured ex-NFL great Deacon Jones)
"Spill The Wine" is epic.
"The Cisco Kid" will have you groovin' and movin'
If you want to max and relax, "Summer" is for you.
"Why Can't We Be Friends" is a classic tune, and a fun song.
War had a good run in the 70's. Real Funky, Real Soulful.
Nice one BizMatik
☮️🤘🤙
Every time I hear this funky tune I think of smoking and Cheech and Chong 😂 lol. Luv it Biz!!¡
WAR "The World Is A Ghetto",, "The Cisco Kid",, "Slippin' Into Darkness",, "Summer",, "Gypsy Man",, "All Day Music",, Me And Baby Brother",, "Four Cornered Room",, "Why Can't We Be Friends" & "City,, Country,, City"
Damn this brings back some memories!
Same.
There is nothing better than watching the musicians just having a great time.
Hey biz, This song was actually used as The Theme From "The George Lopez Show"
The song was included in the 'Up In Smoke' movie by Cheech & Chong, so if you've watched that movie, you've heard part of the song.
One of the deepest grooves on the planet! 😎
WAR Often Toured With Santana & Malo (Jorge Santana's Band/Older Brother Of Carlos..R.I.P. Jorge)
A banger! 🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎😎
I want his hat and one of those car’s.
Yes Yes Yes do more War!!!! Why Can’t We Friend’s and The Cisco Kid
Love this band Biz. Great catalog. Their sound is unique.
The purple/silver metalflake-painted car was a 66 Buick Riviera. I'll double down on the comments below for "The World Is A Ghetto", "Slippin' Into Darkness", "Summer", "All Day Music", "Four Cornered Room" "The Cisco Kid" & "City, Country, City". An amazing band that will make you look at music in a way that you never have before.
My three favorite parts of this song:
- the deceptively simple cowbell riff at the start,
- the haunting sax solo that fades out at the end,
- everything between those parts.
War had several hits in the 1970's, their first was with Eric Burdon and called Spill The Wine, listed as Eric Burdon & War. This hit was also Eric Burdon's last top 40 hit. Other hits by war are The Cisco Kid, Me And Baby Brother and Summer, among others.
Love ya back! Thanks for reacting to the song. They do look SO stoned. 😂 Anyway, this brings back so many happy summertime vibes. More War songs...Summer, and Cisco Kid ✌
💯💯🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Summer by War is a great smooth summer song.
Edwin Starr & WAR "Easin in" This old school song has been sampled by ICE-T and Tone` Loc. I think you'll like it!
The album was called "Why Can't We Be Friends". It spawned a few hit, but Low Rider and the title song were the big ones. This was pre-Eric Burdon joining up. WAR was a San Francisco area band, but they had a huge following all over the country. "Living In The Red", "Summertime", "The Cisco Kid", "Slipping Into Darkness" and "Me and Baby Brother"..As far as them looking "high", it was the 70's, everyone was high.
This was five years after Eric Burdon my friend....
@@garagepunkfan All the years combine, they melt into a dream...
Hey BizMatik! War was very cool! OMG! What memories! Man, l'd crank the shit up when this jam came on! Almost EVERYBODY I KNEW was high! Mt. Airy, NC (Little Chicago) was the place to cruise, jam & party! Those were the good old days!!!
Low Rider was used in the movie Gone in 60 seconds with Nicholas Cage as Memphis. It was his theme song in the film.
It was in the movie Dazed and Confused
👍 this brings me back. Lowriders we're not comfortable then like many are today.
Nowadays they are on bags then it was all hydraulics. And there was no real suspension. It was all about how fast you could dump oil.
I remember when this hit the airwaves, everybody in the tavern smiled when this one played on the jukebox. I only saw this video a couple years, it’s a treasure.
Bro...you're hittin on some epic tracks from my childhood..SHOUT-OUT!! Keep it up. Check out City Country City. You will have a transcendental moment!!
🙌🏿🙌🏿
You will truly enjoy both The world is a ghetto and Four cornered room
Dazed and Confused, one of the best soundtracks.
Up in smoke
It was the theme song in the sitcom GEORGE LOPEZ.
Oh thats right, i use to watch that show time to time
You definitely heard this in Cheech and Chong. "Keep it together cheeks!" 🤣🤣
Always here till the end Biz💯
💯💯
This in Dazed and Confused which is a great stoner movie based in the 70s , it has an awesome soundtrack. It’s also in Cheech and Chong’s Up In Smoke.
Check out "Slipping into Darkness."
This song is at the beginning of the movie Cheech and Chong "Up In Smoke". You should fire one up and watch it!
This is going to be fun!!!! Much love ❤️
Also......!!!!!! CHECK OUT CISCO!! I think it's the low-key riding jam.
The metal flake paint , there were small flake bling and big flake, more bling!
I believe the movie you are thinking of is the 90's coming of age movie "Dazed and Confused". Excellent movie with a great soundtrack of 70's music.
Do "Cisco Kid!" really a tribute song to the TV show from the early 60's! Great Fun Tune!
I saw WAR 2x, once with the original group in 1983.
Welcome to the unbelievable world of music! 🥳
Check out the live version of the world is a ghetto
Spill The Wine with Eric Burdon next please.
They have so many good songs. Tobacco Road.
Loved it! Thanks!
Gone in 60 seconds. Nicolas Cage listens to the song before going out to steel cars :D
Opening music in Up In Smoke
Love the band War!
You have to hear their song Summer it's great.
The best band out of Long Beach, imho.

Up In Smoke 😅 Cheech and Chong great movie 🍿
Definitely Cheech and Chong but this was also the theme song for The George Lopez show. Check out SPILL THE WINE, another great song by War.
This was the intro song for The George Lopez Show.
Cisco Kid and Me and My Baby Brother. Fire Bruh!✌️
The video is classic, just like the song

Try Slippin into darkness
He gets a little higher, uses no gas, drives real slow.

Unfortunately, The George Lopez show has somewhat ruined this song for me 🤨
